The role:
Head (Governance & Risk)
Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Governance Officer, you will lead on the day to day delivery of the charity’s governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. This role provides expert support to the Chief Strategy and Governance Officer, Board of Trustees and senior management team and is responsible for embedding a proactive, organisation-wide approach to risk management and accountability.

Main purpose of post
This role is to develop and co-ordinate Buddies, a vital peer support service which
provides emotional and practical support for people living with or affected by
cancer. They are matched with a trained volunteer who has either had cancer
themselves or have cared for someone with cancer.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
Work with the Volunteer Manager to recruit, train, and support a team of
volunteers to deliver one-to-one buddying support
Provide regular supervision, ongoing training, and reflective practice
opportunities for volunteers
Monitor volunteer wellbeing, boundaries, and satisfaction
Maintain up-to-date volunteer records in line with GDPR and
safeguarding policies
Service Coordination
Act as the main point of contact for referrals into the buddy service

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces.
As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally. They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).
For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
- Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
- Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including environmental protection, climate change, nature recovery, wildlife protection, flood risk management, and health and safety.
About You
We are looking for a high-energy and innovative leader with a strong background in nature conservation, open space management, and team leadership.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex public open spaces.
- Comprehensive experience developing and delivering biodiversity and land management programmes and projects in a range of habitats, ideally within an urban setting.
- Significant experience managing complex conservation work and projects across varied landscapes
- Significant knowledge of biodiversity and wildlife management, including land and water management.
- Strong experience managing a diverse team of professionals in an operational environment.
- Experience of implementing legislation and policy relevant to biodiversity conservation, planning guidance, and site designation for wildlife conservation and species status designations.
- A highly creative, entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ approach to problem solving, with the ability to remain resilient in the face of challenges.

We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. With a key focus on effective and efficient operations, collaboration and continuous improvement in our Technology, Strategy and Business Intelligence teams.
To achieve this ambition, we’ve developed a new technology infrastructure which we are calling “Sage”. We’re implementing new technology infrastructure this year (such as our new CRM system and suite of data tools – Microsoft Dynamics).
The Business Intelligence Reporting Lead will be the MS Society’s leading expert in Power BI and other reporting tools, playing a crucial role in enhancing the organisation’s data maturity and decision-making capabilities. They will be responsible for the design, development, and management of BI reports and dashboards across multiple BI tools, overseeing their full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, maintenance, and optimisation. This includes providing best practice guidance for reporting within systems such as Dynamics and Assemble.
As the expert of BI reporting, they will ensure that staff have access to data, and that reporting mechanisms remains available, effective, and continuously developed to address new and existing challenges. This will involve complex data troubleshooting, including resolving process inefficiencies, data quality issues, and user knowledge gaps. They will work closely with other teams to investigate and resolve these issues.
The BI reporting Lead will contribute to the MS Society’s data, digital, and technical strategy, particularly within Microsoft Azure data architecture, and play a key role in shaping the strategic use of BI tools across the organisation. Through independent research, collaboration with peers, and engagement with stakeholders, they will define the future direction of BI tools, ensuring that the MS Society can fully leverage its data for informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

The Business Intelligence Lead role is focused on enhancing the MS Society’s engagement and fundraising efforts through strategic data analysis and insights. This cross-organisational position focuses on managing data selections for marketing and communications, analysing customer journeys and engagement, and providing actionable recommendations to optimise engagement and fundraising strategies. By fostering data-driven decision-making and ensuring data integrity, this role will significantly contribute to our ability to effectively connect with and expand our supporter base, ultimately driving greater impact.

The Centre for Progressive Change (CPC) is an organisation that builds campaigns for national policy change in the UK. Our focus is on making progressive gains that improve the lives of low- and middle-income communities. To achieve this vision, our mission is to build proactive campaigns for progressive legislative change, do research on what works when campaigning for national policy change and offer training and consultancy to support other organisations to build effective campaigns. JOB PURPOSE
The MEAL Manager will provide strategic direction, quality assurance, and innovation for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning across the organisation’s care reform portfolio. Building on the existing MEAL framework, the role will provide advanced technical leadership, collaborate to enhance organisational learning, and ensure evidence based decision-making at all levels.
The MEAL Manager will drive the development and socialisation of the Results Frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools; oversee data quality, analysis, and reporting; and guide the integration of MEAL into programme design, donor proposals, Theories of Change, and logframes. KEY OBJECTIVES
- Oversee the development, refinement, and implementation of the Programmes and Advocacy Results Framework, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and global best practice.
- Lead high-level analysis, synthesis, and communication of programme results for executive leadership, Board of Trustees, and key donors.
- Drive the digital transformation of MEAL systems, including the appropriate Artificial Intelligence tools ensuring interoperability, efficiency, and accessibility of data across programmes.
- Establish and implement MEAL quality standards, protocols, and SOPs across all country programmes, joint programmes with partner organisations, and advocacy initiatives.

The Role:
- Responsible to the Housing Manager for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused housing service to ex-service personnel and their dependents.
- To provide an effective and responsive housing management service for a patch of Stoll properties, meeting agreed performance outcomes and objectives for key
areas, including rent arrears, lettings and anti-social behaviour
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact in relation to housing applicants, ensuring that all data is recorded accurately on the housing database, and the waiting list is
managed efficiently. - Take part in the Allocations process, working with the other members of the Housing team to ensure that all voids on the patch are efficiently allocated and that let targets are met.
- Undertake viewings, sign-ups and new tenant visits, working in partnership with the Support team to ensure new tenants are aware of their rights and responsibilities and are fully supported through the process in order to successfully sustain their tenancies.
- Investigate and make recommendations on the suitability of applications for transfers and mutual exchanges in accordance with established procedures.
- Carry out void inspections in the absence of the Property Services Manager and, where appropriate, arrange the appropriate void remedial work
Specific Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of lettings and allocations, rent collection and arrears management, repairs and maintenance, tenancy disputes and anti-social behaviour policie and procedures and their application
- Understanding of the legal framework and regulatory context in which Stoll operates and the role of local authorities and Registered Providers in providing housing services
- Experience/knowledge of the issues facing the ex-Service community, especially those Veterans with support needs.
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent – minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English
- Working knowledge of housing legislation, including tenancy enforcement, debtrecovery, and anti-social behaviour.
- Working knowledge of welfare benefits, especially Housing Benefit.
- Demonstrable commitment to and evidence of continuous professional development and learning
