About the role
There are proposed legislative changes to the way healthcare will be delivered and the medical profession regulated. We want to ensure that ophthalmology is engaged with policy decision makers and proactively putting the case for better patient care and the sustainability of the workforce; promoting the RCOphth as the ‘go to’ authority on eye care services. We are doing this through key areas of collaborative work across health regulatory and arms-length bodies, but it requires a strong policy framework.
The Policy Manager will sit in the Policy & Communications team and work directly with the Executive (College Officers and Senior Management) to identify policy gaps and opportunities both in the short and long term. The post holder will work with key stakeholders to identify how the policy function will change the way we work and embed the new process throughout the organisation.

We’re looking for a Deputy Recovery Team Lead to join our Integrated Substance Misuse team within HMP Dartmoor and assist in the day to day management of the service.
Team Leader/Senior Support Worker

This established team works within the prison to support adult male prisoners with current or past problematic drug and alcohol use, promoting a culture of ‘visible contagious recovery’.
Day to day duties will include allocating workload to meet local targets, case management, staff supervision/performance management and scheduling psychosocial programme delivery. Alongside the Recovery Lead, you’ll assist with the recruitment and management of staff, inspiring excellent performance that meets agreed service targets and is in line with EDP processes and systems.

I. Position Summary

Job Overview:

Recruiting a Team Leader to join our Young Peoples service in Milton Keynes!
£25,475 per annum, 40 hours per week plus 25 days Annual Leave, Pension schemes, Staff discounts, healthcare and more.
Milton Keynes Young Peoples Service is for people aged 16-21 with the capacity to support 58 Young People at any one time. The service provides a high level of support to Young People that may be care leavers, looked after children and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. They are supported with a variety of complex support needs such as child sexual exploitation, gangs and offending, substance misuse and mental health.
You will be working with and leading a team of specialists and supports workers to support Young People to meet their aspirations, stay safe and live independently. The service is compiled of 5 properties, the largest capacity at one site being 16 units with 24hr support. Team Leader will be fully involved in all aspects of the day to day management of their designated services, including line managing the relevant front line staff. You will lead and develop competence of direct reports as well as carry caseloads of customers requiring support. You will work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets, both financial and those around the quality of the service.

Aim of Role
To support the Sanctuary Manager in the smooth and safe running of the sanctuary, ensuring all residents receive the correct and appropriate care and welfare to live a safe and happy life. To manage and support team members and volunteers so they carry out their roles safely giving appropriate care to the residents in their home.
Main Duties
Farm Animals
- To identify any issues with the sanctuary animals through daily thorough checks
- To have a thorough understanding of all sick animal care plans through regular handovers with the AWM, this information must be communicated effectively to the teams, monitored or trained in accordance to the care plan. Recording all relevant information in appropriate files / books
- On the advice of the AWM you must demonstrate effective communication with vets, farrier, physiotherapist and any other practitioners we engage with.
- Contact vets, farrier if animals require attention
- Follow all vaccination and treatment programmes for sanctuary animals and communicate or train to teams as advised by AWM or Manager
- Administer medications
- Collect prescription medications as and when required
- Assist with vet / farrier visits

The Project Lead will be responsible for the overall project management of the Active Waterways Cheshire programme ensuring that the agreed project outputs and outcomes are met. They will lead on the implementation and delivery of the project strategies to engage over 55s in physical activity and promote behaviour change, manage arising risks and oversee the evaluation of the project outcomes and impacts. They will also develop the sustainability of the programme over the final months of the 3-year project.
They will play a key role engaging with key stakeholders and partners, encouraging people to get more active through the delivery of our online programme and a guided walking programme.
These programmes work in partnership with Sport England's active ageing campaigns.
Location - The successful candidate will work remotely, from a location where travel and access to our North West regional offices/hubs and the project delivery locations across Cheshire is possible.
