About the role

It has never been a deadlier time for land and environmental defenders to protect their community, way of life, or environment.  At Global Witness we’re campaigning alongside them, making sure their voices are heard and taking their fight to the corridors of power.

As a Senior Campaigner you’ll play a leading role in developing and delivering campaign activities, accelerating international action to increase recognition and protection of land and environmental defenders, while standing up to climate wrecking industries.

You will be a central link in the team to influence our campaign by leading on key investigations to advance policy and advocacy changes as well as promoting our campaign.

The role is a 13-month fixed term position starting in late August or September 2025

You’ll bring experience leading impactful global campaigns focused on environmental and human rights, along with strong advocacy skills and a track record of engaging governments and key stakeholders.

You’ll also have a solid understanding of issues affecting land and environmental defenders—particularly in relation to corporate accountability

The Role:

You will be joining at an important time for our team, covering a crucial role in ensuring accurate income processing, reporting, and financial management across the organisation. You will be joining a collaborative and dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality financial management and support to colleagues working across a wide range of impactful projects.

Additionally, the team comes into the office during busier periods, such as financial year-end and audit, to collaborate with auditors (June/July). You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

As a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer you’ll take responsibility for developing content for allocated big-ticket campaigns and brand moments, ensuring all content is consistent with our brand and tone of voice. The campaigns you’ll be working on will revolve around our brand, high value fundraising and priority campaigns seeking to drive change. Collaboration is a big part of this role.  Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape high-impact content marketing strategies and integrate key messages across the organisation. You’ll also support the development of creative content for key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring content aligns with our brand and campaign objectives.

We are seeking two Senior Economists, one full-time permanent role and one 12-month fixed term role, which could be either full-time or part-time. In both roles, we are looking for someone to develop and lead research projects that generate arguments, policies and ideas to address the social and economic challenges that underpin poverty and household economic insecurity in the UK today and chart a course to a different and better future.

You will devise, lead and deliver high quality economic analysis and thinking to JRF’s policy & ideas work and offer a professional economics perspective across the wider organisation – and as a trusted, expert voice externally. You will seek out and connect with people or organisations developing new ideas and strategies that can contribute to our mission; and to develop proposals for how JRF should use its platform and resources to support their development and diffusion.

About you

As a Senior Economist, we would like you to either have a professional economics training or equivalent professional work experience, advanced data analysis skills and the ability to use a wide range of tools and software to undertake large scale and groundbreaking economic analysis (including using micro-data from major national surveys).

With experience of working on policy issues relating to poverty, you will have significant experience of having initiated, designed, led and delivered projects that included original economic analysis that generated a different or better understanding of policy challenges and helped to guide new arguments and ideas. About the role

The Centre for Ageing Better is looking for a talented Deputy Director to lead on work, retirement and transitions. Overseeing a programme of research, policy development, influencing activity and a growing employer network you will be leading our work to ensure equitable access to decent work for those aged 50+.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the UK labour market policy and the implications and opportunities for those aged 50+. You will be skilled at developing strategy and leading a multi-disciplinary team to translate it into an impactful programme of work. You will be comfortable working externally to build relationships and make the case for change to policy makers, potential funders and in the media, and you will bring research expertise and experience of developing and delivering research projects using a variety of methods.
