SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.
About the Role
We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. You will provide support by telephone, email and text, as well as supporting our skilled volunteers through their development and weekly shifts.
This role also provides valuable practical experience in providing emotional support to vulnerable people.

Job Description
1. Delivering support through calls, emails and other means (e.g. text messaging) to people affected by mental illness, and supporting and mentoring volunteers.
2. On shift, creating a safe and supportive team environment with SANE volunteers.
3. Providing debriefing and support to volunteers following their work with callers.
4. Sharing information with your team both verbally and in writing, to ensure effective handover to colleagues.
5. Working as part of a team to ensure a shared understanding of how SANE support services operate; using your knowledge and experience to ensure our callers are effectively supported.
6. Recording work in accordance with SANE’s organisational systems.

Role Summary
Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-framed. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus on supporting people to share their experiences by working empathetically to gather and develop a diverse range of compelling personal stories on alcohol and alcohol harm, and working with colleagues to bring them to life across our channels. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels. You will have responsibility for wider tasks across the team, including monitoring inboxes, creating reports and supporting colleagues flexibly, particularly during busier campaign periods.

One of those priorities is their Building Independence portfolio. Building independence prioritises supporting organisations working with young people aged 14 to 25. Too many lack the support, relationships, or safe spaces they need – especially those leaving care, excluded from school, living with a learning disability or navigating life as an LGBTQ+ young person.
The foundation fund work that helps young people to raise aspirations, build confidence and feel equipped for the next stage of life. They also support work that joins up fragmented services and pushes for policies that reflect the real experiences of young people. Through their partners, they want to help young people not just get by but move forward with purpose. They also want to help create the conditions where young people shape the communities and systems around them too
The Role
The role of Grants Manager will work to support the successful delivery of grant within the Building Independence Portfolio. This includes the undertaking of grant application assessment, participation in application decision meetings and undertake visits to meet organisations working in this area. You will support this work by undertaking complimentary policy research, building a deeper sector knowledge to support the development and continuous improvement of the fund.
The Candidate
Successful candidates will come with experience, or understanding, of grant making, particularly with understanding of youth voice and systems change. They’re looking to bring someone in with a good understanding of the principles of good grant making. This includes knowing the terminology and grant making practices.
Candidates will also need to come into the organisation with an understanding of how youth voice can shape work. The foundation want to strengthen organisations that do youth voice work well. Candidates will need to come into this role with an understanding of youth voice and associated language.
They are also keen on candidates with experience, or understanding of, systems change. This can take many shapes and sizes, as long as the work candidates have delivered has been focused on changing and adapting systems for beneficiaries.

The Philharmonia is looking to appoint an experienced and inspiring Head of Education & Community Engagement to lead on the day to day running of learning projects, with a firm focus on developing and growing this work. With a proven track record of creative leadership, innovation and producing high quality music education and community projects, successful applicants will be led by a passionate belief in the power of orchestral music to transform lives, whether as audiences or participants.
Centred around our ambition to deepen our engagement in our residencies in and out of London, this role will be responsible for the creative and strategic development and execution of both our long-established programmes (like Hear and Now, and Orchestra Unwrapped), as well as co-creating and developing new, innovative projects addressing real needs in schools and community settings. The role will have a strong direct connection with our Community Boards, the advisory bodies in our residency areas, and the Music Hubs, as partners and co-creators. Candidates should have a progressive and well-informed approach to place-based and grassroots music-making and project creation, and a strong understanding of the latest developments in the music education landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

Undertake research and mapping as required to ensure that projects and programmes respond to local and regional needs and is distinctive and complementary in the context of other providers.

Keep abreast of educational policy and practice at national and regional governmental level, ensuring that project development is aligned with current thinking and strategy.

Develop new bespoke and innovative education and community projects in strategic partnership with local and national bodies, allied to the core work of the Orchestra.
Leadership and Management:

Provide creative leadership and direction for the Learning and Engagement Department, reflecting and clearly articulating the Philharmonia’s vision, mission and values

Develop and motivate the members of the Learning and Engagement Team, and as required, manage the Learning & Engagement team’s support staff, such as freelance Project Managers, animateurs and musicians

Sustain and strengthen existing partnerships for funding and delivery with key stakeholders including other NPOs, Local Authorities, Music Education Hubs, community groups, arts organisations and venues, private and public development agencies and schools, colleges and universities.

Represent the Orchestra on the Strategic Boards of appropriate bodies in London and residencies (for example, music hubs)

WHAT IS OUR SECOND HOME
We are a youth movement that empowers people with refugee backgrounds to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place that they call home.
We are looking for a highly engaging Leadership & Volunteering Manager to lead and grow our leadership training programming, and to lead on the recruitment, development and retention of our pool of volunteers. You will work across our various hubs to ensure all volunteers are well-supported, feel valued, and are making meaningful contributions to OSH’s mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership Training & Development

Oversee and continue to codify OSH’s LIT (Leaders in Training) course, including in-person and online sessions, and mentoring LITs on their first residential. This will include hands-on delivery, managing logistics, and working with volunteers and facilitators.

Co-design and develop other leadership programmes for young people.

Support young people from refugee backgrounds to move from participants to leaders within OSH.

Lead the delivery of training and induction for new and returning volunteers in hubs, at pre camp training days and leaders retreats. This includes safeguarding, group dynamics, facilitating groups, and OSH values, but will also include identifying gaps and trends in skills and experiences.

Events Fundraising Manager role:
We are seeking a highly organised, creative, and results-driven Event Manager to lead and grow Roundabout’s events portfolio. This is a pivotal role in our fundraising team, taking overall responsibility for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our events programme to maximise income, engage supporters, and raise awareness of youth homelessness in South Yorkshire.
