Scope of Work

1. Financial Data Entry & Reconciliation

• Enter and reconcile day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system, including expenses, transfers, payments, and receipts.

• Ensure all entries are accurately coded to the appropriate cost centres, grants, or funding streams.

• Review and reconcile staff expense claims, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.

2. Budgeting & Grant Allocations

• Support the allocation of expenditure to budget lines across multiple funding sources, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

• Maintain the habit to monitor actual spend against budgets using existing systems (Netsuite), highlighting any anomalies or risks.

• Assist in the preparation of internal budget summaries and financial snapshots for program and leadership teams.

3. Financial Reporting

• Assist in compiling donor financial reports by collecting, reviewing, and formatting financial data in line with donor requirements.

• Liaise with grants and programme teams to ensure alignment between financial and narrative reports.

• Maintain up-to-date and audit-ready documentation to support all reporting outputs.

4. Managing Fiscal Sponsorship Financial Reports

• Ensuring that income from fiscal sponsorship partners are accurately recorded

• Preparing regular income and expenditure reports for fiscal sponsorship partners and addressing reconciling items. 

• Represent the Finance team in update meetings with potential  or current fiscal partners.

5. Audit & Compliance Support

• Organise financial documentation and support sampling processes during internal and external audits.

• Maintain orderly and accessible digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.

• Support implementation of financial policies, templates, and compliance checks, working closely with the Head of Finance.

CSAN is the official agency of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice affecting people in England and Wales. We’re facing a steep rise in poverty and significant pressures on social, economic and church resources. At this time, the Church is called to raise a prophetic voice against poverty and the rhetoric of division and work for the building of a more just society.

In 2021, CSAN launched its strategy to extend the social mission of the Church in a post-COVID society. We are developing the infrastructure of the social action network of the Church in England and Wales, including new alliances for diocesan Caritas agencies, advocacy and migration. As our Senior Officer for Migration, you will help to raise awareness of migration issues from the perspective of Catholic Social Teaching and lead on our Ambassadors Programme against Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, as well as prepare briefings and campaign responses to Government legislation.

Over the last 20 years, CSAN has established a network of 50 diocesan and direct service charities, with a combined annual expenditure on social mission estimated at £400m, excluding the work of schools and religious congregations. Our members build up local community life in diverse ways, and many of them support individuals in difficulty, including with housing, prison and detention, social isolation, ill-health, violence, disability, employment, care, therapeutic and welfare support.

The key responsibilities of the Senior Migration Officer are:

1. To provide timely information to the CSAN team and the network on UK Government resettlement programmes and legislation on immigration.

2. To support CSAN’s work to improve public policy and practice on immigration, with compelling evidence from our network, and enabling effective participation in advocacy for a humane system.

3. To work closely with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales on issues of migration and human trafficking.

4. To lead the implementation of the Gubay-

funded CSAN Ambassadors against Human Trafficking programme, preparing and delivering programme materials.

5. To support cross-cutting key workstreams and alliances in CSAN, especially the Domestic Abuse alliance and racial justice, in partnership with the Bishops’ Conference.

The work of the small national team requires a high level of integrity and teamwork, respect for and capacity to navigate complex civil and church contexts at pace, and a stable commitment to personal formation and training. Our Senior Migration Officer will bring a professional track record of relevant research and analysis, production of compelling communications, and diligent administration. A satisfactory basic DBS check and references are required.

OVERVIEW

This role will be a key member of our ambitious team, delivering a growing portfolio of fundraising campaigns, fundraising events, and supporter engagement initiatives. You’ll oversee our supporter journeys, manage our communications channels, and build meaningful relationships that drive income and deepen our impact.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to plan and deliver our 12-month supporter journey – including fundraising campaigns (online and offline), events and appeals.
• Manage our calendar of challenge events (e.g. The Don’s Cycle Challenge, Wombles Walk, Sponsored Skydive).
• Grow supporter-led community fundraising in the local area.
• Lead outreach to engage new local partners – including small businesses, schools and clubs – promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.

Communications & Marketing

• Alongside the Head of Fundraising, lead all communications for the charity.
• Create engaging fundraising content for email, website, and social media to drive online donations, event and programme sign-ups.
• Work with the wider Foundation team and club comms team to create content for social media, e-newsletters and our website.
• Promote Foundation programmes and campaigns to fans, families, and local supporters, driving participation and donations.
• Create marketing materials (posters, flyers, etc.) to support charitable prorammes and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers to share the impact of the Foundation through monitoring and evaluation reports. Including creating the annual organsiation Impact Report.
• Manage the Foundation’s website, ensuring content is regularly updated, fully functioning, and aligned with key campaigns, events, and programmes.

​Supporter Engagement & Stewardship

• Manage the supporter engagement programme, delivering a rolling 12-month plan of personalised and meaningful touchpoints.
• Develop and implement strategies to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors.
• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (particularly low- to mid-level donors) through excellent donor care, timely thanking, and compelling communications.
• Coordinate supporter stories and participant case studies to inspire giving.
• Manage our weekly e-communications, using engaging content to recruit new subscribers and convert them into donors, event participants, or programme attendees.

Supporter Care

• Act as the first point of contact for fundraisers and donors, delivering first-class stewardship and support.
• Ensure timely, warm and effective follow-up with all supporters, helping them feel inspired, valued and connected.

Events & Community Activation

• Support the delivery of fundraising and engagement opportunities at AFC Wimbledon fixtures and stadium events.
• Represent the Foundation at local events, cheque presentations, and community partner visits.

Administration & Data Management

• Maintain accurate supporter and income records in our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
• Liaise with the Finance Officer to process donations, including Gift Aid claims and income reconciliation.
• Provide regular fundraising reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a relevant higher education or industry recognised certification or have a minimum of at least 1–2 years' experience in a fundraising, communications, supporter engagement or similar role
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with supporters, partners, or donors
• Experience planning and delivering fundraising campaigns, events, or community initiatives
• Experience using digital tools for fundraising and engagement (e.g. mass email platforms, design tools, giving platforms, CRM systems)
• Experience creating digital content (e.g. website management social media, e-newsletters, case studies)

Skills & Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Confident in working independently, taking initiative, and problem-solving
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing supporter data and income records
• Ability to travel to activity & meetings across London and surrounding areas

Knowledge

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Policy & Projects Officer. Reporting to our Policy & Projects Manager, you will be instrumental in organising and coordinating various initiatives aimed at amplifying the voices of care workers. Your responsibilities will include supporting the management of the national Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Board, organising monthly online sessions, facilitating roundtables, and arranging conferences in collaboration with the advisory board members and the wider CWC team. It would be beneficial if you have experience working as a care worker in adult social care in the UK.

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per year. 16 months fixed term with the potential for extension based on funding. This is a hybrid role with home working and attending team meetings, events and conferences in London. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the Policy & Projects Manager to plan and execute advocacy and campaigning projects 

• Create and promote surveys 

• Support the Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Board

The Policy and Advocacy Manager will play a key role in the Doctors of World UK policy and advocacy team and organisation, driving and shaping UK health policy and delivering programmes to advance the right to health in the UK.

The role works to maximise DOTW’s influence and impact on health policy debates whilst influencing practice in health services to ensure accessible and equitable healthcare for everyone living in the UK.

The role will take a lead on Doctors of the World’s work to build capacity within the UK health system to provide accessible and equitable primary care services for migrants and refugees and be responsible for managing, analysing and reporting on data from our medical programmes in order to support advocacy and research work.

About the Role

As a Caller Support Officer, you will:

• Help manage support for callers with complex mental health needs, ensuring appropriate boundaries and reducing dependency on the service.

What We’re Looking For

• Has experience with working in a helpline setting, to support volunteers to deliver safe and effective emotional support to individuals in distress or with complex emotional/mental health needs, ideally in a helpline setting.
• Understands safeguarding legislation and has experience applying it in practice.
• Is confident managing sensitive and sometimes confrontational situations.
• Can work independently and manage a varied workload effectively.
• Has experience working with external agencies such as police and court officials.
• Is emotionally resilient and able to handle distressing information with professionalism and care.

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. Working alongside the Conservation Projects Manager, the post holder will ensure regional estate compliance with CCT policies.

Service Delivery:
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all service delivery areas, including support line services, group work,  advocacy, external communications, and policy.

• In partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, ensure Mermaids has robust finance, HR, IT, data privacy and governance processes and procedures are embedded.

People and Culture:
• Line manage senior staff including the COO and service delivery managers.

Pregnancy Options Centre (Options) are seeking a Fundraising Officer to raise funds for our counselling and education services: supporting people in crisis or distress around unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss experiences and educating the next generation on matters surrounding sexual health and healthy relationships. The post-holder will be responsible for raising funds from grants/trusts applications, and for developing and maintaining donor relationships. The role also has scope to grow and develop relationships with local businesses and individual giving to increase our income diversity.

Pregnancy Options Centre provides free, non-directive help and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy or struggling following an abortion or pregnancy loss. We offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings surrounding their situation and experiences. Alongside our counselling service, our Education project delivers interactive workshops to young people on topics surrounding healthy sex and relationships, self-esteem and the three options following an unplanned pregnancy: abortion, adoption and parenting.

Fundraising Officer Job Description

Key Responsibilities Fundraising and Finance:

• To carry out and contribute to the fundraising strategy
• Write comprehensive and compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations, tailoring them to meet a range of criteria
• To research and develop new funders to support the achievement of fundraising goals
• Build, nurture and maintain positive relationships with current funders, corporates and donors by stewarding them well.
• Ensure grants are acknowledged promptly and reporting requirements are met within agreed timescales
• To maintain up to date and accurate funder and donor records
• Work with project leads to identify and produce case studies/ service user statistics to demonstrate the impact of the charity’s projects
• Work with the CEO on community fundraising events, either organised by the charity or supporters.
• Explore innovative ways to diversify and expand Pregnancy Options Centre’s fundraising efforts.
• Work with the CEO to devise supporter care procedures for donors to ensure they feel valued by their interactions with us.
• In conjunction with the CEO, attend relevant networking events to increase the charity’s visibility and secure new partnerships.

Other:

• To provide quarterly reports for Trustee meetings
• To attend monthly staff meetings
• To carry out all such reasonable duties as may be required as part of the role instructed by the CEO

• To attend regional or national events as required, including networking within the Pregnancy Centre’s Network (PCN)

Role Purpose

Responsible for documenting and maintaining up-to-date fundraising income processes, ensuring the accurate and efficient integration of donation data from multiple platforms into the organisation’s CRM (Salesforce). Focus on maintaining current and comprehensive supporter records to optimise engagement and maximise fundraising income. Provide strategic insight through audience analysis and data reporting. Collaborate with colleagues in the Corporate Services Team to reconcile income streams monthly. Offer database support, guidance, and training to fundraising staff to improve data quality and enhance the overall effectiveness of Salesforce.

Main Responsibilities

Specific Duties

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing fundraising income recording processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage income data processes ongoing, imports and exports of all fundraising data.
• To manage and execute data imports from the Winston’s Wish website and various online giving platforms, ensuring accuracy of data, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Ensure all donation income paid into the bank account is entered accurately onto Salesforce.
• Supporting the setup of events & campaigns in Salesforce to ensure effective tracking and reporting.
• To continuously review processes to ensure optimal, and compliant ways of working.  Proactively making recommendations to the Director of Corporate Services and Head of Data and IT to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely data management.
• Ensure that the capture of all data from supporters conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR.  Optimise processes relating to managing supporter preferences and consent, to enable personalised, targeted, and effective supporter journeys.
• Work with relevant colleagues to provide audience insight and analysis for the fundraising team to support income generation.
• Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as reasonably required by the Head of Data and IT, in line with the scope and level of the role.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of using a database (Salesforce) to enter, maintain, and import data.
• High computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft office applications especially Excel.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to take initiative when appropriate.
• Strong understanding of data protection guidelines including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Desirable

• Salesforce Experience.
• Experience of working in fundraising or a charitable organisation.

They will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the STI Foundation and will provide executive support for the STI Foundation Steering Group and BASHH’s Education Committee.

They will also support the BASHH membership function to ensure that BASHH meets the changing needs of our members and drives forward the agenda for better sexual health and HIV care for all.
