Mission Director

Do you have a heart for God’s global mission, a head for strategy implementation and a passion to see global mission movements catalysed? Are you ready to help co-create mission activities in a number of edge contexts around the world? Are you good at influencing and leading people? If so, then you might be just the right person to take on the key role of Mission Director with Church Mission Society (CMS).

Like many mission organisations, in recent years CMS has gone through a process of decentralisation and localisation, resulting in the establishment of CMS-Africa and Asia-CMS within their respective regions. In addition, while CMS once worked primarily through placing people from the West in cross-cultural contexts, we’ve broadened our approach to include supporting local mission organisations and their mission personnel, partnership grant-making and network-building. We particularly want to do this in edge contexts around the world: those places where Jesus’ name is rarely heard or where the church struggles to be.

As a member of the senior leadership team (SLT) of CMS, the Mission Director will play a key part in leading this strategic direction to success together with the CEO, the rest of the SLT, international partners and the mission team.

This post has an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising and committed Christian, committed to the aims, values and the ethos statement of CMS. In addition, they must be able and willing to travel internationally around 50 days per annum. An enhanced DBS / criminal records check is also required for this post.

Hours, salary and benefits:

· Permanent and full time (35 hours per week)

· Hybrid working: at least two days a week at CMS House, Oxfordshire

Your role

They will be a prayerful, discerning Christian with missiological knowledge and insight, cross-cultural experience, and mission engagement experience, bringing effective mission partnerships and nurturing a healthy mission spirituality within CMS.

About the role

You’ll be the procurement lead for the charity, responsible for providing guidance and support for procurement activities, leading on tender exercises and managing the charity’s contracts register. You’ll directly manage principle contracts for the charity and support senior budget managers to enable them to effectively manage contracts and supplier relationships.

You’ll deliver better buying behaviour across the organisation. You’ll influence and support senior budget managers to ensure value for money and reduce potential risk to the charity.

RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.
 

With the main objectives of reducing re-offending and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range of interventions (individual and group), that RISE may design, commission or be commissioned to deliver in the future, both in the community and in custody.

The main purpose of this role is to support and assist Facilitators, Advanced Practitioner,  Responsible Officers and Service managers  in the administration of the Domestic Abuse contracts delivery by co-ordinating project resources such as people and equipment. The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining information systems linked to specific DA contracts.
 

Key duties and accountabilities

• To undertake a range of administrative duties, including log on cases, tracking and issuing documents to clients.
• Be adept in managing a new client based system.
• Working closely with practitioners to facilitate and schedule service users onto courses or appointments or chasing information.
• Drafting documentation where appropriate under direction from the Service Manager.
• Communicate with referrers, specifically social workers, mental health provoiders.
• Maintaining excellent filing and records of case files to ensure effective recording on attendance and completion of courses.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Hounslow & Hillingdon to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. Our service provision in Hounslow & Hillingdon includes number of refuges supporting survivors and their children.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based services staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The Senior Corporate Development Manager will lead the planning and delivery of CFT’s corporate fundraising strategy. You will secure new sponsorships, steward existing relationships, and develop high-value, multi-year partnerships that align with both CFT’s priorities and our supporters’ objectives.

As line manager to the Development Officer (Corporates & Trusts), you will provide guidance, support and opportunities for professional growth, ensuring best practice in fundraising and partnership management across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

• Lead on the development and delivery of CFT’s corporate fundraising strategy, setting income targets and KPIs with the Director of Development
• Create compelling and innovative partnership opportunities for corporate supporters
• Contribute to the wider Development strategy and annual Business Plan

Fundraising & Relationship Building

• Meet the annual Corporate Development target, currently c£300,000, along with the support of the Development Officer
• Secure sponsorship for productions, seasons, and organisational priorities
• Identify, cultivate and convert new corporate supporters, building long-term, high-value relationships
• Devise and deliver tailored cultivation and pitching strategies, including for national brands
• Draft and negotiate contracts for all corporate partnerships
• Host cultivation events and support the Development Committee, Executive and senior managers in engaging prospective sponsors
• Ensure due diligence in line with CFT’s Donation Acceptance Policy
• Support the Development Officer in managing and growing CFT’s Corporate Membership network

Donor and Partnership Management

• Manage CFT’s portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring timely delivery of benefits, publicity and events
• Oversee reporting to sponsors and partners, demonstrating impact and value
• Work with colleagues across CFT to develop and deliver bespoke partnership opportunities aligned with corporate social responsibility priorities

Marketing & Communications

• Collaborate with the Marketing Department to deliver sponsorship benefits and ensure accurate representation of sponsors across CFT platforms
• Develop creative branding opportunities and report on sponsorship reach
• Coordinate sponsor advertising and communications, with support from the Development Officer and Marketing team

Management

• Provide coaching, training and support to the Development Officer to ensure professional growth and high performance
• Model excellence in fundraising practice and collaboration across CFT
• Manage budgets within the corporate fundraising portfolio and contribute to organisational efficiency and effectiveness

Role Overview 

Support Through Sport CIO is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to deliver our innovative School and Community Navigator programme throughout Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The Senior School and Community Navigator will lead a team of three Navigators across four schools in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The role combines direct support to children and young people aged 10–17 with leadership and coordination responsibilities, ensuring delivery is of the highest standard and in line with Support Through Sport policies and project specifications.

Working closely with schools, families, and local agencies, the Senior Navigator will provide supervision and guidance to staff, build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and ensure effective safeguarding, monitoring, and reporting systems are in place. You will work with young people aged 10–17 in community settings, building trust-based relationships and providing early intervention to reduce risk factors linked to crime, violence, and exploitation.

The role combines youth work, mentoring, and community engagement, supporting young people to tackle challenges such as disengagement in education, substance use, poverty, discrimination, and school exclusion. You will act as an advocate for young people, bridging gaps with the wider community while promoting respect, empowerment, and positive life choices whilst working utilising a child-centred and collaborative approach.

At Support Through Sport, we use a range of creative approaches, including sport as a diversionary tool, to build brighter futures and create safer communities. Flexibility is essential, as sessions may take place during evenings and weekends, in addition to typical school hours. Reporting To: East Midlands Regional Manager

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Contract: Full Time, 6 month probationary period

• Provide leadership, supervision, and day-to-day support to a team of School and Community Navigators, ensuring high-quality delivery across all schools and community settings.

• Deliver services to the highest standards, in line with specifications, funder requirements, and Support Through Sport policies and values.
• Lead delivery across four schools and identified community hubs, building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior leaders, pastoral staff, SEND teams, and wider support services.

• Act as an advocate for young people, ensuring their voices influence programme design and delivery, and that they feel heard, valued, and respected.
