We are looking for a new Development Officer – someone who brings a passion for hospice care and wants to play a part of driving forward relationship-based fundraising at The Hospice of St Francis.

The opportunity......

You will play a central role in growing income across the Hospice and driving forward new, relationship-based approaches to fundraising.

With a focus on Major Donors and Trusts and Foundations you will personally identify, develop and manage relationships, with a focus on £5-25k+ opportunities.

 You will develop a new approach for managing and fundraising from small trusts and have the opportunity to learn and grow through working with the AD for Development on larger opportunities.

You’ll bring creativity and a results-oriented outlook, contributing to the wider success of fundraising at the Hospice.

The must haves.....

• Fundraising Success: At least three years’ experience operating in a Trusts and Foundations role (or relevant transferable skills) and a track record of personally securing and stewarding five figure gifts
• Proposition development: Creative in outlook and with experience of developing donor-centric proposals and reports
• Portfolio management: Knowledgeable in developing and managing a portfolio, and key prospect management tools and systems
• Data management: Experienced CRM user and with working knowledge of Data Protection Laws

The it would be nice to have:

• Institutional Funding or Major Gifts experience: Experience of fundraising from institutions or major donors
• Line management: Of staff or volunteers

Job Purpose

· To help make SFM the destination for media as the voice for food in schools

· To help increase media coverage for our work across all platforms (print, TV/Radio, digital)

· To develop and maintain our vibrant social media presence

Key Tasks include

· Writing and reviewing editorial, case study and blog content to maintain SFM’s voice

· Working with our Web Developer to maintain the School Food Matters website

· Diary planning to make best use of events and media moments to highlight our work in the media

· Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of media contacts on Airtable

· Producing, editing and co-ordinating video and visual content across SFM’s projects

· With support from our Policy and Communications Assistant, maintaining our vibrant social media presence

· Managing and maintaining our photo library (Google photos)

· Ensuring our website is up to date by liaising with project teams for new content

· Understanding and disseminating new processes and functionality of the new website

· Managing our Google Ad grant and ensuring that our ads remain effective

About the role

ClientEarth’s Development Department is responsible for raising and managing funds to enable the organisation to deliver its mission using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for, and with its inhabitants. Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Lydia Baker. Lydia joined ClientEarth in August 2024 and in her role as a Grants Manager is responsible for managing relationships with key funders. Lydia has worked in the NGO sector for over eight years and has expertise in a variety of functions including grant management, programme management, communications and monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.  On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with Lydia as part of an established Grants Team that sits within the Development Department at ClientEarth.

Main Duties

• Funding portfolio management - Have a close and in-depth knowledge of their grants portfolio, including a sound understanding of the philanthropic, institutional and statutory funding mix;
• Internal and external communications - Meet with Trust, Foundation and Institution portfolio managers to discuss proposals, provide updates on the programmatic work, and to formally report back on financial, organisational and technical issues; 
• Project management - Effectively manage reporting and the grant renewal process from start to completion including working with multiple teams across ClientEarth’s European and international offices to ensure input from all avenues to complete proposals and reports in a timely and high-quality manner; and 
• Financial planning and budget handling - Work with Finance and Programmes staff to develop individual budgets for funding proposals
• Systems and processes - Maintain funder database systems (Raiser’s Edge) and other organisational databases (SharePoint) on a daily basis

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the launch of a new RG proposition and ensure that the onboarding and onward journey is fit for purpose.

• Look for opportunities to thank our donors and communicate impact at key moments. 

• Work with key stakeholders to ensure we grow our Regular Giving file, through acquisition as well as retention.

• Manage a variety of individual giving fundraising campaigns, from agency briefing, through to launch, meeting six figure campaign targets. 

• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey. 

• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations. 

• Work with the Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.

• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews. 

• Manage donor research and mystery shopping as required, using insights to inform creative decisions. 

• Manage campaign fulfilment. Monitor responses to identify issues and opportunities. 

• From time-to-time support with Donor Care activities if required.

• Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs. 

• Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes.

We are excited to be recruting for a Senior Operations Manager role. MannionDaniels seeks a bi-lingual (French/ English) Senior Operations Manager to support the delivery of Gavi’s new fund to strengthen engagement with CSOs and local partners across 14 countries through up to 60 grants.

MannionDaniels have been contracted by Gavi to deliver this new funding mechanism which aims to:

i. Increase vaccination coverage and reduce zero dose and under-immunised children.

ii. Set up grant/contract schemes with CSOs and local partners that are results-focused, cost-effective and provide value for money.

iii. Strengthen the capacity of CSOs and local partners to implement contracts/grants effectively and efficiently.

iv. Contribute to a conducive partnership, a joint vision and clarified collaboration modalities between governments, and civil society and local partners,

As our new Compliance Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing services and ensuring property compliance across our sites. You will ensure all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, particularly in relation to health and safety, property standards, and landlord responsibilities. You’ll also oversee responsive mechanical and electrical services, ensuring safe and reliable housing for our residents. For an initial six months, the role will take the lead on coordinating the onboarding of new properties in and around Hove whilst also providing essential support across our property portfolio.

In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing onboarding and tenancy processes, including home visits, occupancy checks, and emergency protocols.
•  Coordinating repairs and compliance checks, ensuring timely completion
• Monitoring housing regulations and safety standards (e.g. gas, fire, legionella, asbestos).
• Conducting inspections and audits, maintaining regulatory registers, and supporting contractor management.
• Delivering excellent customer service and supporting income collection and tenancy issue resolution.
• Representing YMCA DownsLink Group in meetings with landlords and suppliers and supporting service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• Experience in the housing sector, particularly in regulated environments and property compliance. Strong knowledge of housing legislation and safety standards.
•  Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Proficiency in digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, property management systems).
• A CIH Level 3 qualification in Housing Maintenance, Lettings, or Housing Services — or equivalent compliance or health & safety qualifications (City & Guilds/IOSH/NEBOSH).
• A full driving licence and access to a car for travel across service sites within the working day.

We are looking for an experienced Campaigns Manager, who is passionate about driving change and has knowledge and experience of Communications and managing staff. This is a temporary post, whilst we go out to recruitment for a permanent post, during the busiest time of the year for White Ribbon.

The post holder will be leading our national flagship campaign – White Ribbon Day (25th November) and the following 16 days of activism, ensuring existing plans are fully developed and delivered and the campaign meets its goals and targets. 

This will involve managing and working with the Campaigns Officer, the Communications Officer and a freelance and part time Project Officer (for the Portraits Project) and additional freelance and part time Communications Officer (for social media).  You will need to manage our outsourcing contract with PIC PR (marketing agency) in an effective manner, to achieve our campaign goals.

Close working with the Business Development Manager and the Accreditation and Training team will be required. 

You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the Board of Trustees on the success of the campaign.

You will need to manage the project budget, reporting to our Finance Manager, and ensure that our campaign sponsors are happy.

Our advice services provide essential support on issues like benefits, housing, discrimination, access, and more — but our work doesn’t stop there. About the Role

As Advice Manager, you’ll take a strategic lead on developing our advice service to ensure it is accessible and high-quality, and also actively challenge the root causes of inequality. The Advice Manager will have wide ranging responsibilities for the performance, quality assurance and development of internal advice services and will be responsible for achieving and evidencing high quality positive outcomes for service users.

You will Manage our advice teams: Information Navigation, Benefits Advice, Money Advice and our benefits advice contract with South West London and St Georges. We also administer a number of grants on behalf of local grant giving charities and the local authority and you will manage the administration of these grant funds.

We currently have 14 advisors across our advice teams including 2 team leaders in our Information Navigation (general advice) and South West London and St Georges benefits advice team, it is currently 8 direct reports. 

As a key member of our management team you will work closely with other managers. You will also take a lead on Safeguarding and Data protection across the whole organisation and deputise for the CEO as required.

You’re an experienced advice professional and a passionate advocate for social justice.
