Founded by Queen Alexandra in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity (ARC) has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. Our vision is for everyone to have access to healthy and affordable food, and our mission is to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities whilst advocating for systemic change to address food insecurity and health inequalities.
Since 2014, ARC has pioneered the use of financial incentives to improve access to healthy food and combat food insecurity through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects. To date, we have supported over 11,000 families, including over 20,000 children, to access £3.5 million of fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities.
To deliver this scale, we work with 73 children and family centres and community organisations, 69 market traders and independent retailers, two fruit and vegetable vans and one fruit and vegetable delivery box scheme. We estimate that our projects have generated a total economic value added of almost £9 million for the local economies of the eight locations where we work: five London Boroughs, Barnsley, Liverpool and Glasgow.   
As part of our new five-year strategy, we want to grow our reach and impact as part of a national movement where Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects are embedded in local and national policies and seen as a key intervention for transforming the diets of communities across the UK.

About the role
ARC has made significant progress in evaluating and demonstrating the impact of our Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg projects. We have developed evaluation tools and theories of change to measure how our work improves the diets, health, and well-being of children, adults and families. Additionally, we have commissioned economic impact assessments, offering valuable insights into the wider benefits of our approach.
As we launch our new five-year strategy, we are seeking a passionate Impact and Evaluation Manager to lead our research and evaluation initiatives. This role will play a key part in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of our projects, strengthening our evaluations by exploring causal links to health outcomes and tracking long-term beneficiary impact beyond their time in the projects.
Working closely with the Head of Advocacy, Impact, and Communications, the Impact and Evaluation Manager will identify gaps in our evidence base, collect compelling data and stories, and help build a strong case for policy change. They will also develop academic partnerships, leveraging existing relationships to enable rigorous research that deepens our understanding of the impact of our work.

Main duties

Marketing & Engagement

• Lead the rebranding and redevelopment of programme microsites and marketing materials in line with brand guidelines and with support from the central communications team.
• Work closely with the Senior Digital Communications Officer and Head of Communications & Advocacy to ensure brand consistency and coordinated scheduling across digital and social channels.
• Manage, plan, and create impactful social media campaigns to support marketing and engagement, with an increasing focus on video content.
• Collaborate with Heads of Department and Programme Managers to produce blog content that supports outreach, partnerships, and engagement.

Data Analytics

• Use internal data systems (e.g. Salesforce, analytics dashboards) to assess campaign performance and inform future communications strategy.
• Regularly track key KPIs such as application conversion rates, social media engagement, and stakeholder reach.

Other

• Keep abreast of digital developments, providing expertise to the wider organisation
• Work with the team to suggest improvements to our marketing and communications strategy

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Experience in marketing and communications planning, ideally in the education or non-profit sectors
• Experience developing content and campaigns targeted primarily at young people, while also engaging diverse stakeholders such as teachers, parents, and alumni.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and digital tools (e.g. Salesforce, Google Analytics, social media scheduling) to drive communications

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets. 

Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.

To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

Healthwatch North Northamptonshire is one of more than 150 local Healthwatch formed in response to the Health and Social Care Act 2012.  Healthwatch represents the views and experiences of local people and help communities to exercise greater choice over the services they receive.

Healthwatch North Northamptonshire will champion the health and social care needs of our communities, acting as an independent local voice and ensuring that services meet the needs of our communities and remain high quality.

To work closely with the Healthwatch NN Advisory Group and the Support Northamptonshire’s CEO to:

1. Fulfil Healthwatch NN’s statutory purpose, contractual requirements and its strategic and operational plans and objectives.

2. Contribute and challenge at a strategic level, influencing and shaping decisions made by commissioners and providers, in line with the vision and priorities of Healthwatch NN.

3. Implement a project management approach to the design and delivery of all workplan activity and deliver on respective programme areas including:

• Providing an effective Information & Signposting service for the public.

• Priority Research Projects

• Gathering Patient Experiences

• Proactively managing Community Engagement & Outreach work

• Meeting Enter & View requirements

• Promoting and supporting Volunteering

4. Coordinate all statutory functions including enter and view visits, information requests, escalations to Healthwatch England, and the coordination of intelligence gathering from a range of sources including the Information and Signposting function, and the NHS Complaints Advocacy service. ·

5. Work closely with the Care Quality Commission, Experts by Experience representatives, Social Service Quality Inspectors and any other stakeholders that perform a quality or inspection role to ensure coordination of activities and awareness of each other’s workplans. ·

6. Lead on all communications with Healthwatch England, the CQC and other national partners, ensuring the timely distribution of intelligence collated locally, and escalating matters of serious concerns.

7. To lead and undertake research and issue led investigations. in priority areas, provide quantitative and qualitative analysis on key data, ensuring projects and reports are achieved on time and to a high quality and that recommendations are reported and reviewed.

8. To develop a core team of community volunteers who can support and contribute to the work of Healthwatch NN and support them to be proactive and enthusiastic in fulfilling their roles.

9. To represent and promote Healthwatch NN with the NHS, Local Authority and Third Sector stakeholders and

10.  Deliver presentations and progress reports at key statutory bodies including the Health & Well Being Board, Health & Care Partnership and Overview and Scrutiny Committee as required.

11.  Act as the central point of contact for key stakeholders, commissioners, and service providers and sit on issue led boards and networks and attend such meetings when deemed it could add value to the work of Healthwatch.

12.  Ensure effective working relationships are in place with neighbouring Healthwatch, and explore opportunities for cross boundary working and joint utilisation of resources. and ensure appropriate protocols are in place for collaborative working. ·

13.  Identify, advance and manage collaborative relationships with key strategic stakeholders and partners to achieve our statutory roles (including voluntary sector, statutory agencies and other local Healthwatch)

14.  Act as ambassador for Healthwatch NN, working with other organisations and bodies as appropriate, taking part in external working groups and events to further the work and reputation of the organisation.

15.  Lead and develop and maintain productive networks, relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and other appropriate bodies and organisations. 

16.  Where deemed appropriate, prepare formal requests for information to providers and commissioners, and keep a record of requests and timelines for responses. Identify appropriate actions when a late or insufficient response has been received, including onward referral to the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee. ·

17.  Identify gaps in the knowledge of Healthwatch North Northamptonshire about the health and social care needs of local residents and look to address these, particularly working with key partners. ·

18.  Assess local strategies and policy documents, to identify gaps where local public concerns are not being addressed.

19.  Adopt an effective and shared approach to information management with appropriate sharing of data to avoid duplication, misinterpretation or underuse of data. ·

20.  Work with the team to identify gaps in service provision and alert local commissioners of any such gaps.

21.  Act as the central point of contact for all incoming press enquiries and be available to provide comments when health and social care related articles appear in the news, or direct enquiries to Senior Management where appropriate.

22.  Act as the central point of contact for any complaints made against Healthwatch North Northamptonshire and escalate accordingly to internal policies.

23.  Deliver key performance targets and ensure contract monitoring reports are produced in a timely manner.

24.  Manage the Healthwatch NN website and social media , production and publication of reports and all external materials and content.

25.  Line manage Healthwatch NN staff and carry out supervisions and appraisals in line with Support Northamptonshire policies and procedures

26.  Working with the relevant staff ensure the necessary infrastructure, resources and relationships are in place for the effective and efficient management of Healthwatch NN.

27.  Ensure compliance with all Support Northamptonshire policies and procedures

 Position Overview

The Finance Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health and strategy of the Barnabas Aid family globally, ensuring that all financial activities align with our mission and values. Reporting directly to the Chief Support Officer (CSO), the Finance Director will lead the finance team and work closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of non-profit and charitable financial management, compliance, and funding. The Finance Director will be part of the Senior Leadership Team.                                                                                                                              

The Public Affairs Manager will be a key member of our busy External Affairs Team within the wider Policy and External Affairs directorate.

Reporting to the joint Heads of Public Affairs & Stakeholder Relations, and working closely with communications and public policy colleagues, you will play an essential role in enabling and driving engagement with parliamentary, government, political and sector stakeholders.

You will be politically astute, with experience engaging across Westminster and Whitehall with competent written and communication skills, able to both brief and prepare senior leaders within the organisation for key engagement activities as well as meeting stakeholders independently as appropriate.

Strong organisational, people and project management skills are essential; you will be responsible for managing dedicated key influencing ‘moments’ with stakeholders and partners, such as organising and managing panel events, roundtables, webinars and showcase programme visits. You will also lead the co-ordination and secretariat activity for the Youth Employment Group (YEG), working closely with the Director of Policy and External Affairs as one of the five co-chairs.

This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

We are seeking a compassionate and highly organised individual to work within the Welfare Benefits Team. You will be required to undertake welfare benefit checks and provide tailored advice on missing benefit entitlements and on wider income maximisation areas. You will also be required to provide advocacy and representation at appeal tribunals and with challenging more complex benefit decisions.

The successful candidate will need to have experience of providing welfare benefits advice with skills in advocacy, negotiation and communication. They will be an articulate communicator with excellent IT skills suited to working in a paperless environment. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to people of all ages especially older beneficiaries, in a manner which is conducive to relieving stresses and concerns by giving sound and impartial information, guidance and assistance. 

The role will be office based at our London HQ, currently with hybrid working of 2 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Standard DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Following a number of years of growth and consolidation of our services, we now have a vacancy for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead our team of 7 and take what we have built to date at Yada and lead us into our next stage of sustainable growth and impact.

We have just agreed our new strategic aims for the next three years and are now looking for someone with the right skills and experience to lead the charity at this exciting time in our journey. 

The charity has grown to a point where we are now  looking to recruit two positions to cover all aspects of managing the Charity. The CEO will provide the overarching leadership, but there will be another management role yet to be decided. Fundraising

• Lead responsibility for all fundraising decisions including applications for grants, fundraising events, corporate sponsorship.

• Managing and developing relationships with new and existing funders including monitoring and reporting.

Networking

• To represent Yada and give talks at network opportunities

• To oversee network development across local business and community

Operations

• To  review, evaluate and monitor Yada operations

• To ensure Yada’s operations are aligned with the strategic direction of the charity

• To review, manage, update and maintain all  Yada systems and processes

• To manage relationship with collaborators

• To recruit/train/induct staff and volunteers for projects 

• To identify training, research  and development needs within the organisation

Safeguarding

• Act as Safeguarding Lead for the charity

• Oversee Yada’s safeguarding process including reporting to Trustees

Policy

• To oversee Yada’s policies, including regular reviews and ensuring legal compliance.

• To develop and review risk assessments and policies  in response to new projects 

Communications

• To oversee our communications strategy
