Summary of the role:
The Community Fundraising Volunteers Coordinator is to drive and enhance fundraising efforts for Muslim Aid by planning, coordinating, and executing innovative fundraising events and campaigns across regional and national levels. This position involves deep engagement with the Muslim community and various stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities and achieve financial targets.
The post holder will ensure that all activities adhere to regulatory standards and organisational promises, effectively represent the organisation in public forums and live appeals, and manage productive relationships with external partners to optimise outcomes. Additionally, the post holder supports strategic campaign planning and evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with legal frameworks. The incumbent is expected to be flexible, with readiness to travel and adapt to unsociable hours as needed to meet the demands of the role.
About the Role
- Collaborate with the Fundraising team to optimise income through various community and innovative events, meeting agreed financial targets.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Muslim community and its key stakeholders.
- Plan and manage fundraising and promotional events across the region, adapting successful strategies for national implementation. This includes participation in events at schools, businesses, mosques, and with community groups and the general public.
- To coordinate volunteer involvement nationally, such as fundraising, administration and awareness raising.
- Cultivates a positive and supportive atmosphere by recognising volunteer efforts and assisting volunteers with their interests within the organisation.
- Be available for national travel at short notice to engage with donors and participants at various community events.
About you :
To be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Experience in building a fundraising portfolio and securing income across a range of fundraising disciplines, especially from universities, mosques and volunteers.
- Experience of creating and successfully implementing a fundraising strategy.
- An understanding and awareness of the value of social media and how to maximise the digital fundraising potential.
- Able to inspire people and to develop long-term relationships, with the gravitas to gain the trust and respect of relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Location
We all work from home, however travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role. You'll attend around three symposia a year, which usually run from Mondays to Thursdays and are currently held in the Lake District. You'll also attend up to three half-day meetings in London a year, which may require overnight stays depending on how far away from London you live. The biennial prizegiving ceremony is also held in London. It would be helpful if you had a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

The General Counsel's Division (‘GCD') is a department led by the General Counsel and Company Secretary, and is made up of the Legal and Compliance, Company Secretariat, Safeguarding and Risk teams.
In your Coordinator role you will use your drive, initiative, strong organisational and excellent communication skills, playing an integral role in bringing the GCD together to align and deliver on departmental priorities. Governance Assistance & Process Management
Provide minute-taking and logistical support to the Enterprise Risk Management Team in their clerking and administration of SCUK's Audit and Risk Committee of the Board of Trustees (‘ARC') including:
- Scheduling meetings and managing related diaries.
- Booking rooms for ARC meetings; coordinate logistics and supplies.
- Attending ARC meetings and recording accurate and concise minutes, capturing key points, actioning items, and decisions made during meetings, distributing minutes after meetings.
- Provide support with the administration of SCUK's related entities' board meetings, including scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, preparing board packs, distributing papers and taking minutes of meetings, as requested.
Act as the organisation's policies governance coordinator which will include:
- Managing the process for the review, development and approval of SCUK's policies in view of SCUK's overarching governance framework.
- Keeping the Policies Directory on the intranet up to date.
- Supporting policy authors as they navigate SCUK's policies governance process and devise simple initiatives to raise organisational awareness of its existence and purpose.
- Act as SCUK's Focal Point for the Save the Children Association (SCA) Mutual Accountability Framework (MAF) annual assessment

Having formally opened our doors in 1981, we are a meeting place for older and retired members of the community and a day centre that provides a balanced Caribbean meal, recreational and cultural activities and lots more. In 1976 & 2006 was visited by the late Queen and by the Duchess of Cornwall in2020.
We are now seeking a part-time Events Coordinator to join our team for a one-year, fixed term contract, working 21 hours per week.
About the role
This is a phenomenal opportunity for a proactive and community-focused individual with a strong grasp of the needs of older people from Caribbean backgrounds and other BME communities to take an exciting step in their career with our organisation.
We are looking for a highly organised and creative Events Coordinator to join our growing team to plan, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of events targeted specifically at our 60+ community e.g. trips/visits to parks, museums, Theatre, Seaside and more.
Our new Events Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of a key part of our work, namely: the management of our events programme designed to combat and prevent isolation, loneliness and depression amongst our elders. They will work closely with our sponsor, Global Radio – LBC, Capital Xtra, Heart, Smooth, Classic FM, talkSPORT and more.
Specifically, you will:
- Develop an Events programme, trips, visits, excursions designed to combat discrimination, isolation, depression and loneliness.
- Publicise our programme of events, and activities via digital media, leaflet distribution, open days, and word of mouth etc.
- Support and encourage our members to attend the Events programme of activities.
- Recruit train and organise team of volunteers to support and expand the Events programme.
- Plan, organise administer and accompany members on trips, visits and excursions within and outside the UK and you may be required to work outside normal office hours.

- Evaluate the success of events through feedback mechanisms, attendance records, and make recommendations

Role description
The Parliamentary Advocacy Coordinator (Education) will work with both organisations, providing crucial support to the Results UK Education and IPNEd Teams. We are looking for someone who will be proactive, efficient and flexible in supporting our parliamentary advocacy work both in the UK and globally. Having a can-do attitude that includes the more administrative aspects of the role is essential. This post will provide good opportunities for developing project management and advocacy skills; an understanding of key international development issues; and experience of working with Parliaments and parliamentarians in the UK and globally.
We are looking for candidates with an interest in and passion for international development and education to address poverty, inequality and oppression.
Key responsibilities
Supporting the work of the Results UK education and IPNEd teams
- Providing administrative support to the Results UK Education and IPNEd Teams and ensuring the smooth-running of internal processes that support the teams’ work, for example: contributing to the maintenance of the contact management systems and databases; supporting monitoring, learning and evaluation processes; tracking and communicating impact; engaging with external providers (e.g. report designers); managing procurement of translation services for events and meetings.
- Supporting political analysis for Results UK and IPNEd education teams to identify parliamentarians to work with as members of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Global Education in the UK and the IPNEd global network.
- Assisting with advocacy strategy planning and implementation, for example: attending coalition meetings and identifying key opportunities to influence decision-makers.
- Assisting with organisation of virtual and in-person parliamentary events, including leading on logistical details and assisting in developing project plans and schedules.
- Project assistance and development, for example: assisting with briefings or delegation planning.
- Keeping up to date with current affairs that relate to Results UK and IPNEd’s work. In terms of Results UK, keeping up to date with UK politics and parliamentary affairs with a focus on global education. In terms of IPNEd, keeping up to date with international affairs relating to global education, with a focus on the role of parliamentarians in these issues. Identify parliamentary opportunities including parliamentary questions, debates and other advocacy opportunities.
Communications and media
- Support Results UK communications and contribute to activity and contribute content to Results UK’s website, blog and social media to help achieve our organisational objectives and strengthen our brand presence.
- Managing the APPG on Global Education Twitter Page and supporting APPG newsletters.
- Creating and sharing communications content for IPNEd including: social media content for Twitter and LinkedIn; contributing to the IPNEd website; sending out communications to the network and writing content for the monthly IPNEd newsletter.

About the role
Our new Research and Collaboration Coordinator will play a central role in delivering our mission to support those working to advance equality through the law. Working closely with our Director and Head of Research, you will help us develop and strengthen our partnerships, respond to the needs and demands of our partners and support the development and delivery of a diverse range of research projects and initiatives. Job Summary
We expect this role to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key funders, stakeholders, institutions and individuals. It will undertake work to secure funding, resources and partnerships for both Shared Assets and the wider land justice movement, and to raise the profile and reputation of Shared Assets.
The role will have responsibility for securing core funding for Shared Assets from trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals, and for supporting colleagues to secure grant and commercial funding for consultancy, research, movement building and communications projects. It will have responsibility for reporting on core grants and providing quality control for colleagues for their bids, tenders and funder reports. Overall role of the Network Coordinator

Job Purpose
The purpose of the Programme Coordinator is co-ordinate with all parties (Community Engagement Manager, the Programme Manager, LMK Leaders and the host organisations) to enable LMK to deliver high quality workshops for young people/youth work professionals/workplaces.
Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery.

Young People’s Senior Peer Research Coordinator - Haringey
Are you passionate about working with young people? Do you have experience of project management, involvement and research methods and helping others to do research?
If yes, we have the ideal job for you. We are working in partnership with the Peace Alliance in Haringey as part of the Peer Action Collective to develop solutions with young people to address youth violence. The work is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund.
Working with young people aged 10-20, as well as local secondary schools and colleges, the project will carry out peer research and develop social action projects.
The person in this role will be excellent at co-ordinating multiple projects and groups, with strong project management skills and will be a core part of our delivery team. You will also get the opportunity to work on other young people’s involvement projects at McPin.
The post is full time and will suit someone who would like some flexibility in working hours, as there will be evening, weekend work plus school holiday activities, including Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-7 pm at Tottenham Town Hall. Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator
Carers’ Hub works to improve carers’ lives in Lambeth through quality services and community engagement. We are an independent local charity, who work with carers aged five upwards. Whether financial, educational or otherwise, they seek to limit the challenges that carers face and achieve this by improving carer’s wellbeing, connecting carers to support and training opportunities, awareness raising and influencing local policy. We are now recruiting for a Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator to join our team.
As the Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator you will:

Deliver an engaging, accessible range of workshops, social activities and one to one support for our young adult carers, working to targets and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.

Support the wider young carers service by being a first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries.

Develop external relationships and communications in a way that promotes the welfare of carers in Lambeth and enhances the image of the organisation.

Work with the Carers' Hub team to support our wider organisational objectives and helping out with events, communications and other ad hoc work.
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working with vulnerable young people and managing complex cases as well as knowledge of safeguarding protocols including referring and escalation to Children’s Social Care. Candidates with a professional qualification in health and social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions are encouraged to apply.
Please note, this is a part-time role, 21-hours per week, ideally spread across 3 days. You will be based on site at their Brixton office, with the option of home working 1 day per week, as well as outreach/in the community. You will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS for Adults and children.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Client Support
●Carry out initial assessment of client needs to identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
●Provide casework level advice on welfare benefits, housing and financial issues as appropriate.
●Facilitate access, signpost and accompany clients to services or activities, in particular those with limited English.
●Assist clients with other related problems or refer to other specialist organisations as appropriate.
●Make follow up calls to provide moral and practical support as appropriate.
●Keep up-to-date with local service provision for appropriate signposting and referrals.
●Maintain professional practice standards and regulatory requirements, including confidentiality, safeguarding and equality.
2. Administration, Monitoring & Evaluation
●Work towards agreed outputs, outcomes and targets.
●Provide written reports on work undertaken and other reports as required.
●Ensure that all work conforms to systems and procedures of Respeito, partner organisations and funders.
●Maintain accurate and up-to-date administration and caseload records, including records of meetings.
●Liaise with therapist and other staff to arrange and coordinate counselling sessions with clients.
●Manage own workload, administration and diary commitments.
●Provide regular reports and updates to the line manager.
●Attend and participate in organisational meetings (e.g. with Board of Trustees) as appropriate.

●Disseminate promotional materials through a range of channels and marketing tools.

Person Specification
The post holder should have a very good command of Portuguese and English, spoken and written, be committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives, have relevant experience in working with families and individuals with a range of needs, and knowledge of domestic abuse and the needs of those who experience it.
1. Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
●Educated to degree level or equivalent (A qualification in a relevant field such as Community Development, Social work, Domestic Abuse Advisor’ Law or Psychology is desirable).
●At least two years’ experience of working with disadvantaged individuals and families, paid or voluntary work.
●Experience in developing and delivering client centred services.
●Experience of providing advice on housing and welfare.
●Knowledge of working in partnership with external stakeholders and the third sector.
●Knowledge and understanding of domestic conflict, abuse and/or violence and its impact.
