Keswick Town Council, acting as Fitz Park Trust, has recently announced plans to launch a fundraising campaign to support the creation of a brand-new, inclusive play area in Fitz Park, Keswick. The new play area will offer a modern, safe, and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities to engage in physical activity, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration.

Fitz Park is central to the town’s outdoor life, and is a one of the town’s most valued outdoor spaces, providing both locals and tourists with a beautiful area to enjoy nature, to play and take part in recreational activities.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to help us deliver the funds required to bring this project to life, seeking both public and corporate donations, applying for grants and leading on all communications regarding this project.

Role Overview:
As a Fundraiser, you will play a key role in driving the success of our fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising campaigns, engaging with existing and potential donors, and ensuring we meet our financial targets for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and deliver fundraising campaigns to support key initiatives and projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
• Research and identify new fundraising opportunities, including grant applications and corporate partnerships.
• Manage donor communication, ensuring they receive timely and impactful updates.
• Organise and attend events and activities to raise funds and increase brand awareness.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience of fundraising or a similar role, and of project management work. You will thrive on developing innovative fundraising ideas and campaigns.

Wikimedia UK is the national platform for open knowledge, bringing together practical and policy expertise about Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects. We are seeking an Education Lead to create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work. The post holder will lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education.

Purpose of job

To lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education. Create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work.

Main Duties

1. Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s education programme, in collaboration with the Director of Programmes and Evaluation and other colleagues
• Build on our learning from past and existing activities across Wikimedia UK and the wider movement to develop and roll out a new Wikimedia and information literacy programme for the UK’s secondary school sector; adapting this for the four nations as appropriate
• In conjunction with other Programmes staff, support the delivery of information literacy projects within higher education, through existing and new strategic partnerships as well as smaller projects and interventions such as Wikimedia in the Classroom courses
• Develop and deliver a range of information literacy activities
• Seek opportunities for new partnerships within the education sector, and grow existing relationships with potential delivery partners, for example within the cultural sector
• Work with the Development team and other staff to identify and follow up funding opportunities for existing or potential projects
• Support other staff within the Programmes team in their own work with the education sector

2. Sector Advocacy

• Promote the importance of media and information literacy skills to digital citizenship and civic engagement, and demonstrate Wikimedia’s value in developing those skills through running targeted interventions and disseminating our research and outcomes
• Advocate for a strong focus on media and information literacy skills in schools and university curricula, and work with other staff, partners and allies to campaign for public policy initiatives and investment to support these skills across society

3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact

• Run and evaluate the pilots of our work in schools
• Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team
• Handle documentation and record all relevant programme metrics. Update CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities

4. Communication and Dissemination

• Write blog posts, create case studies, and generally contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team
• Engage in public speaking opportunities on behalf of Wikimedia UK in promoting our work, as required
• Engage with other Wikimedia organisations, sharing our education work and peer-learning

Experience

• Experience of working directly with UK secondary schools
• Experience of developing and managing partnership projects
• Experience of project reporting and communicating outcomes
• Experience of organising events or workshops
• Experience of developing and/or delivering training or skills development opportunities
• Ability to create lesson plans and other materials appropriate for schools (desirable)

Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.

Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. About the role

At the Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.

This role is an exciting new opportunity to shape and deliver on Motability Foundation’s aims to become more insights led and to systematically involve disabled people in our decision making. You will support the Head of Insight and Evaluation in providing the organisation with insight drawn from existing research, primary research, business data and through user insight. The role will lead development of a user insight approach and clear mechanisms to involve disabled people in the Foundation’s decisions systematically. The role will establish a user insight research community (akin to a customer panel but broader in scope), which the organisation can draw from for user insight.

The role is also responsible for delivering a strategic research and insight plan for the organisation to inform operational and strategic decisions, including feeding into our strategy mid-term review. Others in the organisations will also carry out research and hence this function has a role in setting standards for quality research, a coordinating role in ensuring a cross-organisational understanding of ongoing research to avoid duplication, and to draw insights and disseminate these to relevant internal and external audiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the head of team by developing a strategic insight research plan.
• Lead the delivery of the insight research plan, including developing clear research briefs, working with external suppliers to deliver research and where appropriate deliver research in-house.
• Establish a user insight capability in line with good practice and mature this capability over time.
• In collaboration with key internal customers, establish a framework for when and how to engage with disabled people regarding decisions.
• Develop and set standards for good quality research and insight for the organisation, including ensuring disabled people can fully and equitably participate in research/user insight exercises.
• Ensure that planned research and insight generation by the insight function is completed to a high standard, aligned with good practice.
• Set up and lead a cross-organisational research forum and ensure this mechanism is effective in avoiding duplication and creating alignment.
• Lead development and implementation of a communications plan to ensure insight generated reaches the right internal and external audiences.
• Ensure a framework to monitor and evaluate the usefulness and impact of insight generated is in place.
• Ensure all research carried out by the function meets GDPR requirements.
• Line-manage and develop your line-report(s).
• Be ‘hands on’ as necessary, by leading and delivering research personally.

The insight capability is a new function in the organisation and as a result this role will lead on its development over time. This presents great opportunities and will require an individual who is comfortable with starting things anew, while delivering on insight requirements and shaping the function along the way.

Your experience

Must haves:

• Experience of delivering user insight and/or running customer/consumer panels and/or working with supporter panels.
• Ability to design and develop research programmes and have highly developed analytical skills.
• Highly developed ability to work collaboratively with other teams across the organisation.
• Exceptional written and oral influencing skills, including the judicious use of data and the compelling presentation of insights, through engaging reports, infographics, and dashboards.
• Relevant qualification in an analytical discipline such as social sciences, economics or evidence of significant relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing research projects or commissioning external consultants.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Line and/or team management experience.

We feel that experience of setting up and/or managing consumer, customer or supporter panels is relevant. However, please note that as a Foundation we do not fundraise and as such are not looking to develop a supporter panel.

Nice to haves

• Experience of disability inclusive research – this is essential to the role. However, we will ensure appropriate training for those who do not have these skills.
• Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools (e.g., MAXQDA, R) and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Power BI).
• Proven quantitative and qualitative research skills and familiarity with working with large datasets.

Reporting lines and relationships

Reports to: Head of Insight and Evaluation.

Key relationships: Heads and programme managers in Charitable Operations, Head of Communications team and relevant managers, Policy team colleagues and over time other teams across the organisation looking for (user) insight. Relationships with external agencies and suppliers.

Direct reports: Initially 1 direct report in the form of a Research Manager with plans for a further junior role to be added to the team in future years.

Extra Information

• The role is based In Harlow, Essex at Motability’s offices, easily commutable from London, 30 minutes from Liverpool Street station or 18 minutes from Tottenham Hale station. We offer a shuttle bus from the Harlow Town train station to the office.
• We offer flexible and blended working within this role. The Insight and Evaluation team ordinarily works a minimum of two days a week from the office.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week).

• The salary for the role will be £47,508 - £55,954 (starting salary is expected to be at the lower end of the range)

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• To deliver all aspects of CSE’s Human Resources function, from recruitment, staff welfare, wellbeing and associated support, staff records, training and professional development, oversight and advice on any conflicts or disciplinary matters; and to include the development and maintenance of all appropriate staff policies and processes, including performance management and staff appraisals, remuneration, role progression and all staff benefits.

• To ensure the Staff Handbook remains regularly updated, and to lead on all amendments / updates to this key document for staff. Additionally, working alongside the Director of Finance & Operations, the Chief Executive and other directors to ensure all HR-related policies and procedures across CSE are reviewed regularly and remain updated accordingly, supporting staff needs as effectively as possible while also reflecting the needs and strategic objectives of the whole organisation, its charitable status and mission.

• To maintain the organisation’s personnel records in accordance with appropriate data protection standards and recognised good practice (utilizing the Cezanne HR system). To provide overall ownership of this system – in terms of data contents, security and ongoing operations for the system. The postholder will also act as primary contact for the Cezanne software supplier, liaising with the Director of Finance & Operations and other interested parties where necessary.

• To maintain oversight of staff welfare and working with line managers and other relevant staff, provide and promote access to support and advice to sustain good staff mental and physical health and wellbeing.

• To play an integral role supporting both the Employee Voice (EV) group and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) group and take a lead on related operational functions including administrating the 6-monthly Staff Survey and highlighting issues and trends in staff feedback.

• Provide oversight and guidance in respect of staff recruitment, onboarding, induction development and training, supporting and advising other relevant staff across all associated processes.

• To issue accurate and timely employment contracts, offer letters, job descriptions, pay review letters for all internal changes. Manage and oversee internal paperwork flows from relevant managers, relating to any changes to individual employee terms of employment. Support the SLT in reviewing and amending standard terms of employment contracts to ensure CSE’s practices reflect current best practice.

• To ensure that all payroll documents such as starter forms and payroll amendment forms are completed and saved in the correct location and sent to the payroll bureau where appropriate, and support the Finance team with the administration of our payroll and payroll records and pension scheme contributions and other employee benefits. To accurately track all staff absence and ensure that self-certification and return to work meetings are completed in a timely manner. Update the Bradford factor grid to monitor score against policy and, support line managers and employees in understanding how CSE uses this as a tool at all stages of process.

• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable employment, equity and diversity, and Health and Safety laws (with support from professional advisors where appropriate), standards, guidance, and good practice, advising the SLT how these can best be reflected in the organisation’s policies and practices as they apply both to individual members of staff and to the organisation as a whole.

• To prepare accurate and accessible reports for the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees on relevant organisational, team, and individual staff HR matters to enable informed and timely monitoring and decision-making, principally on a set cycle to feed into a routine schedule of meetings and occasionally to meet an ad hoc need.

Citizens Advice Knowsley is funded by the Money and Pensions Service to deliver debt and money advice.  We are looking to recruit a Project Central Debt Supervisor to provide Technical Supervision as part of Greater Merseyside Money Advice Partnership (GMMAP) Quality team to deliver high quality and effective debt advice and support the GMMAP central team. Working as part of the Development Team, to plan and execute effective fundraising strategies for Derby Theatre. The role will have a particular focus on copywriting for trusts and foundations, cultivating donor relationships and coordinating and developing Derby Theatres’ Friends scheme.  The Development Officer will also deputise for the Head of Development as required.

Key responsibilities

Trusts and Foundations

· Conduct research into possible funding streams for funding priorities.

· Assist in the production of funding reports for existing supporters.

Possible is a climate action charity working on climate solutions which improve people’s lives, support communities and cut the cost of living, as well as slashing carbon. As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with expert partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand. 

The role will include coordinating and working with key expert partners, including community energy groups and research partners, across the three sites. The design stage of the project is largely complete, but there is still scope for creativity in delivery.

JOB PURPOSE

Based within the global Fundraising team, the Programme Fundraising Manager will generate sustainable income and play a pivotal role in delivering fundraising strategies to support the mission and objectives of Lumos, including the 10-year ambition to be launched in November 2025.

Working with country programmes in Colombia, Kenya, Moldova and Ukraine, as well as the global system change programme, the postholder will manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors, positioning Lumos to secure new and repeat funding from charitable trusts, foundations and institutions. The role will also provide advice and support to the wider Fundraising team, building team capacity and writing compelling proposals to engage High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and other funders in Lumos programmes.

We are looking for a skilled relationship-builder and strategic thinker who has strong writing skills and experience working with donors. The postholder will work closely with colleagues across Programmes, Communications, Operations, and Finance, and act as a trusted partner to senior leaders across the organisation. KEY OBJECTIVES

Prospecting & Engagement

• Develop and manage a pipeline of short, medium and longer-term prospects for each programme area under the 10-year ambition through research, strategic positioning and targeted outreach
• Identify new funding opportunities and support programme teams to align donor interests with Lumos’ work, collaborating with colleagues to develop tailored approaches
• Project manage programme fundraising appeals (e.g. targeted Trust mailings) in coordination with the Programmes and Communications teams

• Support senior leaders in managing key donor relationships through tactical advice, briefings, and pitch preparation
• Build and steward a portfolio of current and prospective donors, ensuring a high-quality engagement experience

• Develop tools and guidance to support programme delivery teams in meeting donor requirements during implementation

Reporting
