About the role

Richmond AID have 3 main advice teams: Information Navigation, Benefits Advice and Money Advice. We also administer a number of grants on behalf of local grant giving charities and the local authority. Our teams are busier than ever and this role will play a vital part in supporting the team with administration tasks including; taking client enquiries from the phone, website and email and uploading them to our database, scanning and photocopying.

You will spend your time working directly with clients with a range of physical, sensory and mental health impairments to help them to fill in grant allocation forms and other forms and helping people to know their rights. You will also support our advice teams administratively; arranging appointments, sending emails and letters and uploading information to our database.

You will receive training in a range of advice areas (housing, health and social care, benefits, transport and travel) as well as other relevant topics such as various mental health conditions, managing challenging behaviour, professional boundaries, and case management. You will be supported by a friendly team of experienced advisers who will have the opportunity to shadow and you will also have access to a range of external training and development opportunities.

You will need to have clear written and oral communication skills as you will need to make phone calls and write emails and letters to clients as well as providing progress updates to the team.

You will work closely with our experienced advice team and we can offer opportunities for training and development in a range of areas including social care, housing and benefits to support you on your journey to becoming and advisor.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have solid administration and organisational skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have strong communication skills across all levels and will be a real team player with a genuine interest in supporting disabled people.

An interest in developing advice skills in essential and experience or a background in advice and information will be an advantage.

You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Summary:
Barnardo's Bewick Road Service is excited to offer an opportunity for a qualified social worker to join the Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Centre at James Cook University Hospital, Teesside. This part-time role offers the chance to develop your social work skills within an established and supportive multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The position also includes flexible working options Monday to Friday (working over 3 days), with ongoing support and training provided.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have at least three years' post-qualification experience working with vulnerable children or adults, and be registered with Social Work England (or equivalent). A full UK driving licence is required.

Main Duties:
The CF social worker will provide support to children with Cystic Fibrosis, their families, and carers, focusing on the social aspects of care. The service covers a large geographical area, including Teesside, Redcar and Cleveland, and Durham, with the role based at James Cook University Hospital.

Key responsibilities include:

• Attending outpatient clinic appointments, inpatient ward admissions, and conducting home visits to assess and follow up on community-based needs.
• Supporting the Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis team in addressing the emotional, social, practical, and financial needs of children and families affected by CF.
• Collaborating closely with relevant social services and healthcare professionals, in line with legislation, professional standards, and policies.

We have two court-based offices, at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand, and at the Central Family Court on High Holborn, although we mainly now provide advice by telephone and can therefore support people who are accessing any court in England and Wales. This vital role provides a high quality first point of contact and initial triage service which includes dealing with requests for advice made in person at our two central London Courts, via our website, by email, by telephone or a referral internally or from a third party. We are open every day for in-person enquiries, although advice is provided by appointment only.

The role will also support an online appointment booking system for clients accessing services, and general administration of our legal advice services including administering the pro bono legal advice rotas and collecting and sharing information and paperwork between clients and legal advisers.

Job overview 

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent, detailed and proactive administrative support to the Chief Executive. As Policy and Communications Assistant at the CSA Centre you will play a key role in tackling child sexual abuse, alongside the work of our colleagues across practice, research, policy, communications and training. This is important work - the CSA Centre conservatively estimates that one in ten children will experience some form of child sexual abuse before age of 16, and our ambitious programme seeks to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals (social workers, teachers, social workers, nurses etc.) in identifying and responding to child sexual abuse. We have already made great progress, but there is much more to be done – and we need your help to do it!

This role is currently funded until 31 March 2026, in line with the current grant funding arrangements for the CSA Centre. This will be reviewed in late 2025, as future funding for the CSA Centre from 2026/27 onwards is clarified.

Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently until March 2026 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement. We are the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre). Our aim is to reduce the impact of child sexual abuse through improved prevention and better response. To tackle child sexual abuse we must better understand its causes, scope, scale and impact.

First established in 2017, we are a multi-disciplinary team that is funded by the Home Office, hosted by Barnardo's and we work closely with key partners from academic institutions, local authorities, health, education, police and the voluntary sector. About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic team administrator to join our small, friendly and relaxed team at SCONUL, the professional association for academic and research libraries. The team currently works one to two days a week from our modern offices close to Euston station and the remainder of the week from home.

During austerity and Covid we diversified, successfully taking on NHS work with people with long-term health conditions. We provide social prescribing support and health and wellbeing coaching to patients for Brent GPs. In 2024-5 we helped over 18000 people. We’re a leading partner on the Brent Health Educators Programme. Recently we’ve focused on developing and retaining a much larger staff group, using our data better and improving our marketing.

Brent Mencap offers fantastic free creative and wellbeing activities for people with a learning disability, autism and long-term health conditions. These have flourished since Covid. People love yoga, poetry, singing, gardening, Breathe and Move, self-advocacy, campaigning, awareness raising, CREATE art activities for young people, external trips and parties. Small grants, donations and our reserves fund this while we get longer term funding. Our self-advocates want us to focus on paid employment, youth services and making Brent Council use accessible information properly. People with a learning disability, neurodiversity and their family carers are inclusively supported by social prescribers for advice and by health educators/coaches for health-related matters if needed.

Caxton Youth Organisation is a specialist youth club, creating community, breaking barriers and empowering learning disabled and autistic young people.

This is a key role supporting both our fundraising and communications activities. You will work closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to deliver compelling fundraising applications, steward donors, grow our community fundraising, and manage Caxton’s public-facing communications across digital and print. It’s a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who’s an excellent communicator, highly organised, and motivated to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising

• Research, plan and draft compelling grant and funding applications.
• Maintain and update our CRM system (Beacon), ensuring records are accurate and communications are timely.
• Plan and deliver key supporter events.
• Lead on the development, delivery and stewardship of community fundraising activities, including challenge events.
• Prepare timely and engaging reports and updates for funders.
• Provide stewardship to individual supporters and donors
• Support on implementing our Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to capture meaningful programme insights to support funding applications and reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to gather and analyse qualitative data, including quotes, feedback and stories to demonstrate impact.

Communications

• Manage Caxton’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Bluesky), creating engaging, youth-appropriate content that reflects our values and voice.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on social media performance to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Write and collect case studies and stories that showcase the experiences and successes of young people.
• Develop and maintain marketing materials, promotional assets, and internal communications tools.
• Maintaining the Caxton website, including writing blog posts and updating content as needed.
• Lead on the implementation of Caxton’s communications calendar to ensure consistent and strategic messaging.
• Strengthen our presence in the community and online through targeted communications initiatives

Person Specification

Essential:

• 2+ years’ experience in fundraising, particularly writing funding applications and/or managing donor relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• Experience managing social media channels for an organisation.
• Confident using design tools (e.g. Canva) and email marketing platforms.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
• Committed to the values of inclusion, equity and youth empowerment.

Desirable:

• Experience using Beacon or another CRM
• Knowledge of the youth or disability sector.
• Basic photography, video or design skills.

The Diocese of Manchester has established the Places Project, which is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. We are looking to appoint a Children’s Worker, to work with the team on a range of innovative new initiatives for children and their families as well as helping existing ministries to grow and flourish.

The Children’s Worker will work with churches and primary schools to create worship and discipleship opportunities for children. As part of their role, the Children’s Worker will work as part of the wider Places Project team, with specific involvement in a Year 6 transition programme in primary schools.

The Children’s Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to launch new children’s initiatives. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to raising a generation of Jesus-followers.

The post holder should have some experience of children’s ministry and working or volunteering in a church and/or school context. To succeed, they need to be enthusiastic, relational, self-motivated and able to lead children in a variety of contexts.

There is an Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a practising Christian, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Overview:

The role of is a senior position within the Young Lewisham Project. The role is responsible for the workshop staff, young people and project management of the referral groups and activities.  Managing staff, maintaining participant’s records and ensuring all administration required for OCN and other qualifications are kept up to date and in order.

Accountability  

The post is accountable to the Managing Director.

Purpose

The purpose of this post is to provide leadership and management of the Young Lewisham Project workshops to achieve the operational goals of the project.

To be responsible for the achievement of project goals, measurable outcomes and outputs.

To continually develop and improve the Young Lewisham Project’s offerings.

Oversee and improve attendance

Principal Duties

To oversee the delivery of Young Lewisham Project programmes and activities.

To provide supervision and support to workshop project staff and volunteers to ensure co-ordination and effective team work within Young Lewisham and individual projects/groups.

To actively promote the services of the project through appropriate channels and on appropriate platforms.

To co-ordinate and facilitate good relationships with partners and attend multi agency meetings where necessary.

To have some oversight of IT system Monday and the collection and analysis of performance data, producing management information and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

To act as one of 3 designated safeguarding leads and attend all training to ensure current compliance.

Support young people with SEN

Support tutors to work with young people with challenging behaviour

Specific Duties Management

To plan and facilitate team meetings, multi-agency meetings, consultation and co-operative working with statutory and non-statutory agencies.

To manage the risk and safety of young people, service users and be responsible for their care whilst they engage with Young Lewisham Project along with other management team.

Responsible for workshop and tutor spending according to specific project budget and Young Lewisham finance policy and any funding agreements in place.

To work in a multi-agency setting e.g. schools, Youth Services, specialist projects/agencies to maximise development and learning opportunities for young people.

To work in a multi-disciplinary way by: building and maintaining relationships with partners, sharing information in line with the Data Protection Act and Young Lewisham policies; attending relevant meetings as necessary

Monitoring and Reporting

Responsible for maintaining and developing systems of monitoring that can capture and analyse performance data to track progress of individual projects against outputs and outcomes

Responsible for producing timely and accurate reports for the Management Committee and external funders.

General

In carrying out the above role, the post holder will:

Be available to work unsociable hours when necessary (this may include some weekends and overnight stays).

Work with young people in accordance with the core values of mainstream education & youth work
