About the Role

Young Roots is looking for an experienced and creative Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager to play a key role in securing income that transforms the lives of young refugees and asylum seekers.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Development, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of Trust and Foundation partners, develop compelling funding proposals, and proactively identify new opportunities aligned with our strategy. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll place young people’s voices and experiences at the heart of every bid, helping to fund services that support belonging, wellbeing and futures.

This is an ideal role for a confident Trusts fundraiser who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, and taking ownership — while working collaboratively in a values-driven organisation.

· participating in recruitment activities and training for prospective adopters

About you:

As a Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in childcare social work and as a Senior Social Worker, a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. You’ll have an understanding of child development and the impact on behaviour of interrupted development. You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, equity and inclusion within service delivery.

Duties and key responsibilities

Financial Administration and Bookkeeping

• Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
• Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
• Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
• Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
• Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.
• Maintaining the expense management system in line with policies and ensuring timely authorisation and reimbursement.
• Ensuring accurate records of authorisation and financial approvals.
• Preparing and posting all month-end journals.
• Completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
• Working with the Database and Finance Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50 and the income spreadsheet on a quarterly basis.

Audit

Other

Who we are looking for 

Breakthrough T1D is the UK’s leading type 1 diabetes charity, dedicated to funding research, advocating for change, and supporting the T1D community. A year into our exciting rebrand from JDRF to Breakthrough T1D, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Research and Involvement Officer to help us build on this momentum. 

As a Research and Involvement Officer you will provide administrative support to the Head of Research Operations in managing our UK research portfolio, Type 1 Diabetes Grand Challenge funding and other UK-based funding programmes. Development Officer Vacancy

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive fundraiser to develop and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners, while providing high-level administrative and communications support to the department. The post-holder will play a key role in contributing to securing funding for all aspects of the School’s work.

This is a full-time, year-round position, reporting to the Head of Development & Communications (however, if part-time hours would better suit you, we will consider applicants who can commit to working a minimum of three days a week).

In this newly established role, the post-holder will:

• Support the generation of the School’s philanthropic revenue from both existing and new sources, with a focus on Trusts and Foundations and smaller gifts (<£500), primarily for:

BIAS is a leading local Irish charity which has supported England’s largest community in Brent for over 45 years. We deliver our support across London through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. About the role

The Administration and Finance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of GISF’s operations. This role combines core administrative responsibilities with day-to-day financial support, including grant-related bookkeeping, staff timesheet coordination, and invoice tracking. Training will be provided on financial tasks, though some experience is welcome. Key responsibilities

Administration & Operations

• Provide day-to-day operational support to the GISF Secretariat,
• Coordination with outsourced service providers (e.g. IT, legal, finance, audit).
• Maintain and update GISF’s policies systems to support efficient operations.
• Manage the GISF office space in London.
• General HR duties, including support to recruitment processes, leave-tracking and onboarding of new staff and consultants.

Finance

Person specifications

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage logistics, competing priorities, and multiple deadlines.

We're looking for a passionate and strategic Supporter Services Manager to join our Fundraising & Marketing Operations team. This will be a full time, 9 month fixed term position based at our offices in King's Cross, London.

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated Supporter Services team focused on delivering excellent customer service, whilst managing our relationships with fulfilment agencies which deliver our income processing and merchandise delivery. As the Alumni Officer, you will be someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about supporting them to progress to vibrant degrees and careers in STEM. The post holder will have strong knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds accessing STEM education and careers across the UK.

The Alumni Officer will deliver the continuation of support for hundreds young people who complete the In2STEM programme every year, supporting them with continued support throughout year 13/S6 as they progress to post FE education, apprenticeships and training, and providing long term careers opportunities.

The post holder will be an organised and motivated self-starter who thrives in the face of change, enjoys creative problem solving, working in a team and can achieve deadlines on a tight timescale.

In2scienceUK is a remote-based organisation, that requires occasional travel across the UK for events, internal & external meetings and staff co-working days.

Your specific duties will include:

• Evaluate existing alumni activities to recommend and implement improvements and new initiatives to support the delivery of a high quality programme experience to support In2STEM alumni, aligning with learning objectives, feedback and our theory of change.

• Develop and deliver engaging alumni communications e.g. newsletters & email updates, to keep In2STEM alumni informed of news, opportunities and events.

• Plan, organise and support the delivery of online workshops aligned to support In2STEM alumni progression milestones.
