AAUK are seeking an experienced CO-CEO Office Liaison and Internal Communications Lead. This role is responsible for running the office of the Co-CEOs, internal communication and engagement activities across ActionAid UK.  The role will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Co-CEO office enabling the Co-CEOs to effectively manage their workload and focus on strategic responsibilities in their dual roles as Co-CEOs and Directors. 

The post holder will lead on key Co-CEOs projects and deliverables in collaboration with relevant subject matter experts across the organisation. Develop the organisation’s internal communications and engagement strategy, in line with the overall People & Culture Strategy, policies and best practice. Lead and implement a programme of internal communications and engagement initiatives that ensures AAUK staff feel connected to and engaged with the mission and objectives of the organisation, and boosts staff engagement levels. Responsible for ensuring all comms and engagement activities are promoting our feminist principles, anti-racist and decol agenda and contributing to the overall staff experience and employee proposition as an employer of choice.

Events Manager

The Events Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the College’s annual flagship conference. As Events Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure this event is executed to an exemplary standard.

You will manage the Conference Committee and work closely with College Officers, Members and internal colleagues including the Creative Content and Marketing, Children and Young People and Corporate Services Teams to deliver our high-profile conference. Helping to ensure impactful campaigns are created to drive delegate registration and engagement, you will also be responsible for producing detailed project plans and RASCIs for the conference.

Reporting to the Head of Events, you will provide support with the tracking of event expenditure, managing supplier procurement processes and negotiating with suppliers to guarantee value for money. Taking the lead on all College relationships with internal and external service providers, you’ll also ensure that site visits and assessments are carried out where necessary, making certain that insurance, legal and Health & Safety obligations are adhered to.

In addition to the flagship conference, you will support the wider team in the delivery of other high profile engagement activities including international conferences, membership ceremonies, regional member events, dinners and a number of ad-hoc events according to College priorities. You will also deliver virtual events as required, taking the lead on researching virtual event solutions to ensure that the College meets shifting member needs.

Educated to a good standard, with demonstratable experience of delivering large scale (1,000+) educational or scientific conferences, you should have a background of working with external professional conference organisers along with experience of working in a membership or not-for-profit organisation.

Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and suppliers are essential, as are outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.

With a good understanding of project management methodology and how to apply it to events, you should have a sound knowledge and insight into the wider event industry, in order to keep up-to-date with trends, developments, innovation and legislation. Solution centric to enable innovation, you must be able to adapt to changing situations.

Line management experience and the ability to motivate and develop direct reports is essential, whilst an event management or project management qualification, along with experience of running events outside of the UK would be desirable.

The Membership, Policy and External Affairs Division actively promotes the membership, stakeholders and the public awareness of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and core child health priorities. 

The RCPCH sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community.

The Individual Giving Manager in the Mass Fundraising team will work closely with the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Mass Lead to develop the programme across membership, lottery, raffle and digital fundraising.

As Individual Giving Manager you will:  

• Lead on the RNID weekly lottery, which this year will be launching private site face to face recruitment
• Manage our two annual raffles

You will have experience in managing supporter data to ensure compliance and maximise effectiveness of our campaigns.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.

About the role
We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income, and deliver our e-learning programmes. You’ll help ensure our members are informed about the latest developments and learning opportunities, and they’re valued for their contributions to the PVRI. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website and social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees from over 30 countries to our scientific webinar.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll need to create successful marketing plans and grow our membership. You will also bring excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate high-quality webinars.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Multimedia Content Producer to join the Marketing Communications team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. This role will support the Senior Creative Lead & Design Manager and Head of Marketing & Brand to create, commission and produce a wide variety of creative marketing materials, focusing on photography and video assets. 

You will work across all areas of SSAFA, so your creative talents will help raise awareness of crucial services, recruit volunteers, support fundraising initiatives and promote understanding of SSAFA’s work, this will allow you the ability to flex your content production skills to different audience types and a wide range of outputs. You will work from creative concept to asset completion and be able to lead on the development of our video strategy and planning. This is a new role within the organisation so you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the future direction of multimedia content, in particular focusing on video content strategy. 

You will have access to the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software, and actively encouraged to develop your skills and proficiency in areas you may not have experienced, some skill in using other Adobe products such as InDesign is desirable, but not essential. 

We are looking for someone with an exceptional eye for detail, bags of initiative, creativity and innovation. This role will offer plenty of variety - no two days will be the same - but you will need to juggle different creative projects, be able to prioritise, communicate effectively and work collaboratively. 

About the team 

You will be joining a well-established team of marcomms professionals, ranging from Designers to Case Study Managers. You will have plenty of opportunity to interact with photo/video freelancers as well as other internal departments, such as Fundraising or members of the volunteer network. 

About you 

To hit the ground running and carry out this role successfully you will have:

• A portfolio of video or photographic projects demonstrating; creative concept development, collaboration others/colleagues to produce creative assets. 
• Demonstratable experience of planning and managing a pipeline of photo, video or audio assets, and working collaboratively and effectively to achieve engaging content that supports SSAFA achieving its KPIs.
• Demonstrable experience of organising a photo/video shoot, including briefing photographers, videographers or others. 
• Demonstrable experience of creating compelling multimedia content that drives an emotional connection with the audience. You may have undertaken parts of this process such as crafting a storyboard and briefing the delivery, or you may have taken video footage to edit varying assets. 
• Experience working with a marketing or communications team to support the creation and delivery of digital assets for active TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter social media accounts, including knowledge of different digital and social media advertising format would be advantageous. 
• Excellent skills in Premiere Pro (or similar) 
• Some skill in other creative tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. would be advantageous.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines as needed. 
• Experience of working in a commercial, public or not-for-profit organisation would be beneficial.
