LSCft Charitable Fund is the charity linked to the Trust which covers donations for patients, service users, carers and colleague’s wellbeing. 

The post is an important link between the Trust and the local community, facilitating fundraising across corporate and public initiatives, stakeholder and corporate giving and launch our corporate and sponsorship opportunities to local businesses as part of our fundraising plan.

Due to our expansive geography, many of our colleagues who work here are also residents, families of service users and patients, carers for their loved ones and may be service users themselves. Their wellbeing is essential. Raising funds for the Charity will include looking after and enhancing their wellbeing.  

You will require experience of fundraising, bid writing and charity law and display considerable energy and enthusiasm to inspire colleagues, patients, service users, families, visitors and the local community to choose LSCft as their preferred charity in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

You will also work with local businesses, colleagues and volunteer networks to develop fundraising initiatives, activities and events. You will ensure that fundraising ideas and high profile events are in place to generate funds to desired targets in the first year of launch. 

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, extensive fundraising experience and proven ability to create plans, strategies and income across different platforms. You will be a keen people person, be good at motivating, influencing and encouraging charity activities and be confident in your approach and able to work with minimal supervision, taking ownership in this role as our expert in the field of fundraising. 

Here at Brain Tumour Research, we are looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join a dynamic and influential campaigning team. You will play a pivotal role as a Policy and Publics Affairs Officer, working closely with the Head of Stakeholder Relations and the Policy and Public Affairs Manager. This will include supporting the development and implementation of effective public affairs and campaigning activities, at Westminster and across the devolved nations.

Policy and Public Affairs Officer
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes. We offer a hybrid working model, where team members are expected to be in the office for a minimum of three days per week.
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Marketing and Brand Officer to join the newly formed Public Engagement team. This role will play a vital role in driving public awareness and engagement with St Mungo’s and our work, to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

• Deliver creative content and develop strategies to drive engagement across multiple channels, with a focus on digital, telling unique stories about our work and impact.

Our EU-standard shelters, inspired by British designs, can house up to 700 stray dogs, providing them with complete veterinary care and preparation for rehoming.
We have supported over 48,000 animals and built two dog shelters and one for disabled and senior cats. Additionally, we offer small grants to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We primarily rehome animals in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. By addressing the root causes of animal homelessness through neutering programmes and educational initiatives, we have significantly reduced overpopulation, helping over 40,000 cats and dogs in Romania and Ukraine.

About the role

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.

In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC)  to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.

Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IDC strategic planning and delivery, ensuring team collaboration with the IDC Technical Advisor and Advocacy Lead.
• Manage relationships with IDC champions, facilitating their engagement through regular calls and meetings.
• Foster partnerships between IDC champions, GPSDD partners, and other organisations to share experiences and strengthen inclusive data systems.
• Lead the IDC impact and learning pillar, capturing and sharing progress through data stories and knowledge products.

About you

The Programme Manager will provide programme leadership for the Inclusive Data Charter initiative, ensuring the development and delivery of agreed plans. As a Philanthropy Executive, you will work closely with the Philanthropy Manager supporting the development of a proactive and sustainable major donor programme. Your role will involve the relationship management of a portfolio of major donors and prospects; ensuring the donors you work with are engaged with our cause, and that you are responding to their individual stewardship needs as you keep them updated with our work.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Philanthropy Manager in making strategic decisions to grow our major donor programme: providing insight from the excellent relationships you will manage, identifying opportunities and securing significant contributions ranging from four to six figures.

You will develop and use stewardship tools to guide donors through their giving journey, including cultivation plans, proposals, and reports. You will be involved in sourcing and presenting tailored information to donors, making appropriate financial and non-financial requests. You will facilitate and attend meetings and events, both in person and online, to nurture these relationships.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with colleagues and volunteers across the organisation to support our fundraising efforts.

To succeed in this role, you should have a good understanding of sector trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements. You will also need to accurately record and report on your activities and portfolio, contributing to the team's KPIs.

What are we looking for?

A very skilled communicator with the ability to write and present clearly and persuasively. You should have experience securing major donations or other high-value support, or managing influential partnerships; ideally within a similar role in either the charity or commercial sector. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with individuals and organisations at all levels is essential.

A proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets is desirable. You should be creative and adaptable, able to identify and maximise opportunities. Strong IT skills are important, and knowledge of Raisers Edge is a plus.

You should be able to prioritise tasks and work flexibly across organisational boundaries, thriving as part of a team. A full driving licence for UK travel is desirable but not essential.

Job Purpose: 

The purpose of this role is to project manage the WAGGGS European Guide Conference (EGC) and the Europe Guide and Scout Conference, jointly with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the Vienna Scouts.

More about the event:   

The EGC and the EGSC are delivered together as a 4-day event with some elements online. The event will take place in Vienna, Austria in July 2025 in partnership with the host organisation, the Vienna Scouts. This is the main platform for decision makers in our 42 European Member Organisations to gather for networking and consultation on the direction of travel. The International Commissioners (IC) Forum will take place from 5-8th December in Malta and is the platform for stakeholder engagement prior to the conferences.   

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Project manage the delivery of the in-person EGC to ensure that the event fulfils the objectives and is delivered on time and within the WAGGGS budget.

2. Manage relationship with WOSM and the Vienna Scouts to ensure communication is smooth and that WAGGGS’ input to the EGSC is provided within agreed timelines.

3. Build and manage relationships with WAGGGS staff, volunteers, partners and Membership Organisations, including working closely with volunteers around the Conferences.

4. Manage the budget for the EGC. 

5. Manage logistics and coordinate the content of the EGC in collaboration with Europe region staff team and volunteers.  Support the EGSC with these elements.

6. Support the development of the event risk assessment. 

7. Oversee the conferences’ circulars in collaboration with communications colleagues. 

8. Coordinate and monitor conference planning team in collaboration with the conference Lead. 

9. Ensure the conferences comply with WAGGGS visual identity.

10. Support with the registration process and conference inbox where needed. 

11. Create an evaluation survey and draft the final EGC report in additional to providing input into the EGSC report. 

12. Support the organisation of the IC Forum in partnership with the lead organisation, WOSM and the host organisation, Malta Guides and Scouts.  This will include final logistics & final content planning arrangements, input into post-event evaluation.

About Us:

Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing.  We provide in person and online activity groups and programmes, alternative provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision. We were established in 2019 and have since grown rapidly from a small startup to a robust small-medium  enterprise with a turnover of £250k and serving well over 400 beneficiaries a year.

All our work is firmly rooted in a ‘positive peer approach’, providing an enjoyable, pressure-free and beneficiary-centred space for connecting with others and exploring interests and hobbies in a place they can truly be themselves.
