We are now seeking a Digital Communications Lead (maternity cover) who will develop and deliver our digital communications to build awareness, understanding and engagement with Rewilding Britain and our mission. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing charity and directly contribute to the growth of the rewilding movement.

Job purpose: 

To lead the development and delivery of Rewilding Britain's digital communications output, to inform, engage and activate audiences in support of our charitable aims.

Objectives of the role: 

Social media

• In line with our organisational objectives, lead on building our profile, reputation and engagement on social media with key audiences.

• Plan and deliver inspiring and effective social media content, including as part of engagement campaigns, fundraising appeals, and initiative launches, and in support of our partners and members. 

• Ensure that Rewilding Britain is using the best possible tools and techniques, by drawing on your own knowledge of the digital landscape and trends and staying up to date with changing trends.

• Guide colleagues across the organisation to capture and create social content in order to maximise opportunities to engage others with rewilding

• Take responsibility for monitoring social media and community building, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to social media enquiries. 

• Support with the development of social media and other digital policies and style guides. 
   

Email marketing

• Develop and deliver a schedule of email marketing for the organisation, including for fundraising and political engagement campaigns.

• Optimise email marketing by A/B testing content regularly to maximise performance and by making design and content improvements as the digital landscape evolves. 

• Use audience segmentation in support of campaigns, drawing on data from our CRM.
   

Website content & maintenance

• Work with the Content Manager and other team members to create new and updated web content in line with the Content Strategy, that is engaging, accurate and on-brand.

• Ensure web content is optimised for SEO and usability, advising and training staff on best practice.

• Contribute to team efforts to enhance the website as an engagement tool, including liaising with agencies where relevant. 

Other

• Track, monitor and report on digital activity to prove impact and maximise effectiveness. 

• Oversee/brief colleagues and freelancers, where relevant, to deliver discrete pieces of digital content for Rewilding Britain's channels.

• Contribute digital expertise to wider organisational projects and activities in support of our objectives. 

• Support the team in delivering Rewilding Britain webinars and events.
   

Essential skills, experience and behaviours

Experience

• At least three years' experience in a digital management role in a comparable organisation, overseeing digital communications to further organisational objectives. 

• Proven experience in managing social media channels in a professional role.

• Experience in producing and optimising email marketing (ideally using Mailchimp).

• Experience in managing and optimising website content.

• Familiarity with Google Analytics and digital monitoring tools.

• In-depth experience and understanding of current social and digital communications tools, landscape and trends.

Skills

• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.

• Skills in creative content developments, such as video and photo editing, ideally using Adobe Creative Suite. 

• Skilled digital planner, with a track record of inspiring and leading on digital.

• Good grasp of conservation and ecology.
   

Personal qualities

• Proactive, creative and flexible approach with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and autonomously from home, while also working collaboratively as part of a tight-knit team.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This role is as maternity cover (9 months with possibility of extension).

This is a full time 5 day (35 hour) a week position, but we are open to a conversation with candidates who are seeking a role of 28-35 hours a week.

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

The salary is £35-40,000 f.t.e. per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

We are a virtual team who work from home and/or co-working spaces. We will support you to achieve a suitable virtual working environment. Some meetings are held face to face across Britain, so a willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays is desirable.

About this key role

As a valued and integral part of the Fundraising and Communications team, our successful candidate will lead a small sub-team to generate at least £500,000 income each year, including the direct line management of a Senior Fundraising Officer, who you will support to line manage the Fundraising Assistant.  We will count on you to implement effective processes and procedures across the Fundraising and collaborating teams, manage and refine processes for recordkeeping and devise, maintain and update our Fundraising Handbook.

About You:

Having worked in a third sector direct marketing role previously, you will have experience running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. • Manage the delivery of all Retention campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes
• Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
• Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
• Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure

About Evolve

The Evolve Project is a collaborative partnership between Linklaters, UBS, Societe Generale and the Societe Generale UK Foundation, delivered by ELBA. Overall, the Evolve project aims to address the wider barriers and challenges faced in society & by community organisations & charities with a particular focus on Hackney and its surrounding boroughs of Tower Hamlets & Haringey. The project does this through supporting community organisations who are addressing different barriers like post Covid recovery, and the cost-of-living crisis, alongside continuing challenges of funding & sustainability.

Evolve aims to build the capacity of thee organisations, especially supporting the leadership, so they can keep up with the increased demand they are experiencing. Evolve has been designed to dynamically respond to the changing needs of local community organisations, drawing on the time, skills and expertise of employee volunteers to address the most pressing community challenges. The project is currently in its fourth year with funding secured for the following two years.

The role requires an ability to build a close and collaborative relationship across the community sector, particularly in Hackney, as well as with the corporate funders. A key focus is developing and delivering a range of exciting employee volunteering activities (including the Leaders in Partnership and Emerging Leaders coaching programmes) as well as leading monthly delivery and quarterly steering group meetings with the three business partners to ensure volunteer engagement and session development is meeting the aims and objectives of the project.

The post will be managed by the Head of Programme, Connect which sits within the Community Works programme at ELBA. The post holder will have weekly one-to-one meetings for input and guidance to achieve agreed targets and will be subject to annual performance appraisals.

Job Description

Key Evolve duties

● Responsible for day-to-day development and delivery of the Evolve project

● Collaborate closely with community partners, corporate partners and the ELBA team to understand community needs and design appropriate employee volunteering activities to address these needs

● Deliver a range of employee volunteering opportunities focused on capacity building for local community organisations within the geographical remit

● Build and maintain strong relationships with Evolve partners’ Corporate Responsibility teams by organising regular meetings and responding promptly to company requests

● Develop and promote a range of employee volunteering opportunities to corporate partners and manage delivery of volunteer requests

● Organise delivery of monthly delivery meetings and quarterly project steering group meetings including preparation of supporting documents and minute taking

● Achieve good delivery targets of employee volunteers engaged and beneficiaries supported

● Maintain strong impact reporting for the project and long-term tracking

Main duties

● Build effective working relationships with ELBA corporate partner organisations to understand their business and functions, culture and priorities, generate opportunities suitable for their employees, manage expectations and deliver on activities in support of programme and project goals and objectives

● Identify and build relationships with a range of community stakeholders, including charities, community groups, social enterprises and grassroots organisations

● Assess organisational needs and develop creative corporate volunteering opportunities to meet the needs and build the capacity of community stakeholders

● Source, place, train and manage cohorts of corporate volunteers in line with business plan and project targets

● Identify a range of corporate volunteering opportunities that can facilitate large-scale participation and/or collaboration for ELBA corporate partners

● Generate regular communication items such as an annual report, programme impact reports, articles, write awards nominations and case studies and maximise the use of social media platforms

● Work with the Community team to ensure programme materials are kept up to date

● Implement effective evaluation and impact measurement tools in line with ELBA corporate partner requirements, ensuring that evaluation informs best practices to ensure continuous improvement

General

● Adhere to ELBA’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

● Develop a broad knowledge of regeneration programmes and local authority priorities in east London and specific geographical area

● Support the wider Community team with the planning and delivery of key events

● Support Connect Head of Programme to align Evolve’s offering with the wider Connect programme

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving forward the charity’s service improvement priorities to improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

Using your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s. 

You’ll support the development of a vibrant regional network, working in collaboration with the Professional Engagement team and the regional clinical leads. You’ll also work with health and care professionals and Parkinson’s UK colleagues to respond to any threats to Parkinson's services and effect positive change.

This position is part time, working 28 hours per week and will cover the South West of England region.

What the job involves

This is an exciting new role in Prostate Cancer UK’s Health Information and Clinical Support team. The team delivers a wide range of high-quality services directly to anyone affected by prostate cancer or prostate disease, as well as supporting a range of activity charity-wide that requires clinical expertise.

Many men, and their friends and family, don’t know the risk factors of prostate cancer – and when they do, they don’t know what to do next. We want a world where every man over 45 in the UK understands their risk of prostate cancer and has the tools and information to navigate it. Our online risk checker is a good place to start, but this role will be a crucial additional source of information for men and their loved ones. 

As a Risk Information Officer, you’ll deliver the charity’s pilot Risk Information Service, providing information and support to men at risk of prostate cancer, and their loved ones, via the telephone. This is a non-clinical role, but you’ll discuss callers’ risk of prostate cancer along the lines of the predominant risk factors (age, ethnicity, family history and BRCA gene status). If necessary, you’ll also support them to seek a PSA blood test from their GP and on occasion routing callers who have more complex clinical questions back to the Specialist Nurse service.

You’ll play a key role in developing the pilot – contributing to conversations and decisions around how to adjust and improve the service in its early months. You’ll also report back on your calls, to help the charity develop its broader understanding of information and support needs when it comes to prostate cancer risk and the PSA blood test.

Reporting into the Clinical Services Senior Officer, you’ll have close and regular contact with assigned Specialist Nurses so that you feel at ease in sharing prostate cancer related information with callers, and in maintaining the boundaries and scope of the service day-to-day.

This is a service pilot with the Risk Information Officer role being a fixed term for the duration, with the potential to make the role permanent based on the pilot’s success.

What we want from you

You’ll be a compassionate and resilient communicator; you may be speaking to a caller who is anxious about their risk of prostate cancer. You’ll be a great listener, hearing callers concerns and offering a supportive and empathetic response. Although this is a non-clinical role, with your existing understanding of the healthcare system in the UK, you’ll be willing to learn the basic knowledge of prostate cancer and use the appropriate associated terminology.

You’ll be comfortable in handling more complex conversations, but with self-awareness to recognise your limitations in offering support and recognising clear boundaries of guidance being provided and be able to direct to our Specialist Nurses when needed.

Experience in using a CRM system will be advantageous in this role and any experience with a helpline or providing support or information over the phone will be beneficial in your role.

The Head of Project Development is a new and pivotal role within the organisation that will bridge the gap between our fundraising efforts and the development and implementation of projects. This strategic position is focused on developing new projects based on clear evidence of need and alignment with PCR’s mission and priorities, as well as enhancing the case for existing projects. The role will work in collaboration with the delivery and partnerships team to develop cases for support and secure substantial funding to ensure we can continue to expand and deliver impactful, sustainable projects. Key Responsibilities 

• Project Development and Management: Spearhead the development of new projects and work alongside fundraising to develop bids to support existing initiatives, ensuring alignment with PCR’s strategic goals and funding opportunities. 

• Fundraising Support: Collaborate closely with the fundraising team to identify and secure funding from large statutory sources, including but not limited to the likes of the National Lottery Community Fund, NHS, NIHR, and Sports England. 

• Evidence Gathering: Develop a robust evidence base and demonstrate PCR’s capability through in-house or commissioned pilot work. 

• Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning processes, identifying key obstacles to project development, and developing strategies to overcome them.

The Dalit Solidarity Network UK is a small human rights organisation working to eliminate caste-based discrimination in the UK and South Asia. Registering as an official charity in 2003, Dalit Solidarity Network UK continues to grow as an effective campaigning and advocacy organisation, working on the issue of caste discrimination in the UK and being an active player in the global movement.  Our major areas of work include documenting 'everyday casteism', building capacity of businesses to address caste-discrimination in overseas supply chains and UK operations and working with UK Higher Education Institutions to protect against caste-discrimination.

Summary of the role:

We are seeking a new Director who will be responsible for working with the Board to:

i) Develop and deliver of DSN-UK's overall strategy and objectives;

ii) Provide strategic leadership to influence the policy and practice of key stakeholders to further DSN’s vision of a ‘world without caste discrimination’;

iii) Lead overall management of DSN-UK, including management of DSN-UK staff, its finances and other resources.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Leadership and strategy

Responsible for implementing DSN-UK’s strategy through specific campaign, lobbying and advocacy activities, including development of key messages and influencing strategies. 

Maintaining partnerships and network support within the UK, with partners in South Asia and international partners.

Conducting joint advocacy at UK/EU/UN level, representing these issues at UK Government level and participating in  other joint initiatives as appropriate.

Operational Management

Responsible for the day-to-day management of DSN-UK, including key  aspects of its internal administration, particularly providing oversight of financial management, annual budgets and the preparation of regular financial and programme reports for the Board.

Fundraising:

Leading the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy for DSN-UK, preparing funding proposals and reporting to donors on project achievements.

Human Resources:

Managing one part time office administrator and appointing other staff, volunteers and consultants in consultation with the Chair.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role leads on the delivery of Bond’s corporate and CEO level events. This role is managed by the Head of Communications but also works with the corporate and marketing team, the Director of Membership and Communications and CEO. 

The primary focus of this role is to manage and deliver high-quality events for Bond’s corporate partners to help them reach their target audiences, and to deliver high level events for CEOs and senior leaders across our network to help provide senior leaders with the support and skills needed to provide effective and supportive leadership. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Corporate events:

• Manage and deliver a range of events to fulfil contractual commitments with corporate partners.
• Ensure the successful execution of events, including hybrid and face-to-face components, across various locations including potential European venues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality events that meet partner expectations and contribute to revenue generation.

2) CEO engagement events:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive program of events targeting CEOs and senior leaders within our network.
• Coordinate logistics, including speaker liaison, venue sourcing, and event planning for CEO events throughout the year.
• Work closely with senior management to align events with organisational goals and strategies outlined in Bond’s membership strategy.

3) Special projects:

• Coordinate special one-off projects and events as required by members or donors, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

4) General

• Ensure the successful delivery of Bond corporate and CEO events both online and in person, where appropriate.
• Ensure events logistics, including working with any contractors and with any external booking systems are successfully delivered.

• Support all digital content of uploading and editing sessions and speakers on the Bond website.

• Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and explore opportunities to optimise event-related expenditures.
• Maintain a portfolio of venues (both free and paid-for) that Bond can use when an in-person event is required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Have at least 2 years experience of events organisation and management in a similar or comparable setting

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with sponsors, event partners and participants.
