Your mission

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced Head of Brand Marketing, who has a strategic mindset and is motivated by commercial creativity. Reporting into the Marketing Director, the role will lead CALM’s brand marketing to drive awareness, deepen understanding of CALM’s mission and to inspire action to change culture and ultimately prevent suicide. They will be responsible for the strategic direction, creative leadership and guardianship of the CALM brand — ensuring our campaigns, partnerships and marketing communications are bold, distinctive, integrated and achieve real impact.

Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Leadership

• Own and evolve CALM’s brand strategy, ensuring it aligns with organisational goals and keeps CALM culturally relevant and distinctive.

• Lead on long-term brand positioning, audience strategy and messaging frameworks that build understanding of CALM’s mission and grow awareness, trust and engagement.

• Champion insight-led decision making — using audience, behavioural and brand tracking data to inform strategy, planning and creative direction.

• Partner with the Services team to drive attitudinal and behavioural change, as well as the Fundraising team to grow income, through an integrated marketing approach.

• Act as brand guardian — ensuring a consistent and compelling tone of voice, visual identity and narrative across all CALM activity and partnerships.

• Build brand literacy across CALM, enabling colleagues and partners to understand and apply the brand effectively.

Campaign & Creative Direction

• Oversee development and delivery of integrated brand campaigns that capture public attention and drive measurable shifts in awareness, engagement and action.

• Set strategic direction, creative standards and success measures for major campaigns and brand moments.

• Lead collaboration between in-house teams, agencies and partners to deliver brave, high-impact creative work.

• Ensure all campaign and partnership activations deliver meaningful value and reinforce CALM’s strategic priorities.

Partnerships & Brand Growth

• Work closely with Partnerships Director to shape and evaluate brand collaborations — ensuring external activity amplifies CALM’s message while protecting brand integrity.

• Develop frameworks for assessing new brand and media partnership opportunities based on reach, relevance and values alignment.

• Represent CALM’s brand voice externally with media, creative and commercial partners.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and inspire a high-performing Brand Marketing team, providing clear direction, coaching and development opportunities.

• Line manage Head of Creative Operations, Brand & Campaigns Lead and Creative Lead, supporting them to achieve their objectives.

• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and accountability across the wider MarComms function.

• Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring best-in-class delivery within agreed targets.

• Contribute as part of the MarComms senior leadership team to overall strategy, planning and organisational development.

• Promote and role model collaborative working across the team and with other teams.

• Demonstrate cross-organisational leadership.

• Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events.

The Examinations Department at the Royal College of Pathologists is responsible for the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of all College examinations, including the Fellowship (FRCPath), Diploma, Certificate, and BMS examinations, as well as the Fellowship by Published Works.
Our dedicated team manages every stage of the examination process - from question setting and quality control to candidate communication, examiner support, and regulatory compliance. Working collaboratively, we ensure that all examinations are delivered efficiently, securely, and to the highest standard of integrity.

About the role

We’re looking for a Voice Officer with experience of working with children, young people and their families and amplifying their voices to help create positive change to join our Voice Team. 

The Voice Officer is a key member of the Voice Team, responsible for enabling Young Lives vs Cancer to shape the children and young people’s cancer system with and for young people with cancer and their families. You will enable young people affected by cancer and their families to have a stronger voice inside and outside the organisation - not just to contribute, but also to challenge, giving the power to them to amplify their voice and make positive change.

You will work with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to deliver our Voice work to a high quality. Responsible for managing incoming enquiries and communications with our volunteer Voice Board Members, Voice Champions and Voice Hub network, working with the team to plan and run meetings and events both online and in person. With excellent organisational skills, you will help plan and coordinate our voice work, building strong working relationships with colleagues and our voice community with volunteer management responsibility for Voice Board Members and Voice Champions.

What will I be doing?

Main responsibilities

Communication and Organisation

• Delivering effective internal communication regarding the Voice team and playing a pro-active and leading role in Voice team meetings
• Supporting with correspondence, record-keeping and tracking leading on communications with our voice volunteers and internal communications
• Effective project management of voice activity - for example, planning events, setting goals and impact measurements for the activity, managing risks and reporting on progress

Voice Activities

• Working with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to deliver the organisation’s Voice approach, enabling children, young people and parents/carers to shape the organisation and the system it is situated within, maximising our Voice opportunities
• Delivery of the Voice Board so it is an effective model for the Board of Trustees to listen to and act upon the voices of young people with cancer, their parents/carers and siblings.
• Travel and occasional overnight stays to attend in person events with our voice volunteers.
• Developing and supporting the growth of our Voice Hub bringing voice opportunities to our wider community
• Act as the key contact and support for our Voice Champion Volunteers
• Working in partnership with the Voice Champions team on the development and dissemination of voice guidance and training for staff and volunteers across the organisation, designed to equip them so that they can confidently work alongside young cancer patients and their families
• Working with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to ensure that we are able to amplify voices of all our beneficiaries across the whole of the UK, from the widest range of backgrounds and cultures

Working relationships and contacts

• Volunteer management of our Voice Board Members and Voice Champions Team.
• Building and maintaining relationships and influencing others. Both internally working with colleagues to equip them to work alongside young people and families and externally working with young people and families to understand their views and opinions, ensuring that they feel heard as well as building connections with partners across the sector.
• Develop and sustain sector relationships, staying up to date with external developments in voice and participation and identifying opportunities for innovation and partnership

We are seeking a proactive and creative Senior Events Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis.

The Purpose of the Role
IRC’s External Relations (ER) department brings together Fundraising, Communications and Policy & Advocacy functions. With the aim to raise money, awareness and influence for crisis-affected populations worldwide, the department combines knowledge and expertise across multiple national markets.

The IRC’s private fundraising capability in the UK has grown significantly over the past five years. Ambitious growth plans are in place to deliver increasing income from the private sector as part of an exciting global External Relations strategy.  
 
The Director of UK Mass Markets is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Mass Markets team in the UK and for securing long-term sustainable income for the IRC through individual donor acquisition, retention and supporter care. You will lead and develop a high-performing team by growing mass marketing audiences and income, developing exciting and targeted campaigns, identifying opportunities for product, channel and audience diversification, and championing UX and a supporter centric fundraising model. Key Accountabilities

·  Aligned to the overall Global External Relations Strategy, develop, implement, monitor and report on IRC UK’s fundraising and supporter engagement strategy. 
·  Lead fundraising campaigns (acquisition, retention, mid-level) that deliver unrestricted income to enable IRC’s work. Channels include e-mail, direct mail, inserts, Facebook advertising, new forms of social media, and adwords, as well as telemarketing etc.
·  Develop a supporter engagement programme that focusses on developing and deepening long-term relationships and drives retention rates.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

Working in a trauma-informed and psychologically informed environment, you’ll empower residents to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. This role involves working closely with residents during the night, conducting welfare checks, providing guidance, and responding to individual needs. You will ensure the smooth running of the night service by conducting welfare checks, supporting residents, and handling any issues that arise. The role includes completing administrative tasks and providing thorough handovers with day staff and managers to maintain consistent service.

• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities
