We’re investing in technology to grow our payroll services, and part of your role will be to help us transition onto the new payroll software smoothly and effectively. At the same time, we are developing other aspects of our consultancy offering and around 40% of your role will be to provide support and cover for these services to the treasurers and trustees of our clients.
As Administrator, your role will support the work of our highly acclaimed teams serving our church and charity partners, specifically providing our payroll and consultancy services. Our professional services at Stewardship are in great demand and we are looking to build on the support we provide to UK churches and Christian charities. You will work alongside our award-winning Payroll Bureau team and our Consultancy Helpline with responsibility for building relationships with and serving a distinct group of churches and Christian charities.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role is central to the smooth running of our new regional programme. As Programme Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the Programme Manager to support delivery, coordination, communication/engagement and administration.

This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. We have an exciting maternity cover opportunity for a full time Senior Peer Support Coordinator to lead on the development and delivery of mental health peer support in the Bromley Mental Health Hub. You will lead the team, which includes peer support staff and volunteers, and take responsibility for design, coordination and day-to-day delivery of recovery orientated peer support to people with mental health problems on a group and one to one basis.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Black Health Equity Engagement Officer to join our Black Health Equity and Engagement team. The team plays a key role in supporting our community engagement work by building trust and strengthening relationships with Black community organisations and leaders across the UK. The aim is to raise awareness of prostate cancer risk within Black communities and help reduce the health inequalities experienced by Black men.
As a Black Health Equity Engagement Officer, you’ll be providing the logistical support to Prostate Cancer UK’s Black Men’s Advisory Group - who provide insights, support and guidance to the charity to help us address Black health equity. You’ll attend a wide range of community events and identify ways to spread awareness and build trusting relationships with groups, organisations and networks.
By building an understanding of the ways which health inequalities impact Black men affected by prostate cancer (and their families) you’ll establish effective and efficient working practices and gather data capturing the impact of this work.
You’ll get to meet a wide range of supporters and work with Black communities to ensure their lived experiences shape our work and help to increase our number of Black volunteers to increase awareness. You’ll also get to work with different teams across the charity and act as a source of knowledge for our work in tackling health inequalities.
What we want from you
We’re looking for candidates who understand health inequalities and is able to explain how they may impact Black men affected by prostate cancer. Knowledge of, or previous involvement in health awareness initiatives would be beneficial for this role, although we also value transferable skills gained from other sectors.
You’ll have experience in organising meetings or events that cater to a diverse range of participants, ensuring that various perspectives are heard and valued, especially within Black communities.
You’ll have a proven ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with a wide array of stakeholders. Furthermore, you’ll be a great communicator, especially when engaging with community stakeholders.
Please note that community events often take place on evenings or weekends – the successful candidate will need to work flexibly to attend roughly one weekend event a month and take time back mid-week. Community awareness events will take place in the Midlands and London.

What You’ll Do
This role enables the DEC and our 15 member charities to effectively respond to humanitarian emergencies and provide timely, quality, community-focused assistance.
As an Accountability & Learning Officer, alongside your efforts to contribute to our learning and growth, you will shape our work to influence key policy agendas. You’ll be working across such areas as climate adaption, flexible funding for humanitarian action, and locally led humanitarian responses.
Overseeing our monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities, you will support the set-up of projects, build relationships, and co-ordinate activities in all our current operational theatres.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Assessing humanitarian crises for DEC appeal eligibility

- Setting up and overseeing key learning activities over the appeal cycle

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Purpose of the post

Skills and competencies:

Providence Row Housing Association has been helping homeless people in East London since 1860. We provide social housing along with excellent services that aim to support homeless people with complex needs and enable their recovery. Our Senior Substance Misuse Worker works alongside members of the support team to create a safe and welcoming environment within a psychologically informed environment. You will contribute to the development of the recovery hub, by providing expertise in alcohol and drug misuse. Taking a lead role in delivering training/ advising staff on substance misuse issues, liaison with substance misuse agencies, facilitating multidisciplinary case conferences and negotiating access to detox and treatment services. Carrying out assessments of drug and alcohol usage with key clients, delivering brief and extended interventions, outlining risks, advice on harm minimisation and refer to specialist agencies.
You will also conduct surveys of residents view and opinions, assist with audits and reporting on the service, help to ensure compliance with regulation and best practice, and work with a Support Team which promotes person centred coproduced approaches.
