We are recruiting a Governance Co-ordinator to join our Governance Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This is a key role providing essential company secretariat support to the Board of Trustees, Committees, the CEO Office and the Head of Governance & Compliance. As Governance Co-ordinator, you will help to ensure the Association maintains the highest standards of governance through efficient administration, effective meeting support and accurate record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Governance & Compliance to provide efficient and effective administration for Board and Committee meetings, including maintaining the meeting calendar and timetables.
• Organise logistics for meetings, including dates, venues, travel and accommodation.
• Provide full secretariat support to the Board and Committees, including preparing Chair briefings, attending meetings, drafting minutes and actions.
• Collate and distribute papers and presentations in line with agreed timescales, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Liaising with senior leadership, Trustees and others at senior levels on all aspects of Board and Committee meetings.
• Prepare, proofread, collate and distribute Board and Committee papers and presentations on time.
• Provide administrative and planning support for the Annual General Meeting and Trustee elections.
• Assist the Head of Governance and Compliance with implementing recommendations from governance reviews, including updating templates, policies and processes.
• Maintain accurate statutory records with Companies House and the Charity Commission.
• Manage the Board of Trustees SharePoint page.

About You:

• Experience of Board or Committee administration, including minute taking and organisation of Board/Committee meetings.
• Experience of working with meticulous attention to detail accuracy in all aspects of work.

Spotlight on Corruption is a UK-based charity, founded in September 2019, that shines a light on the UK’s role in corruption at home and abroad. Acting as policy entrepreneurs, we develop innovative and pragmatic solutions and disseminate our work through hard-hitting reports and briefings to inform decision-makers and the general public. We follow through with dogged advocacy, working in a highly collaborative manner to build consensus for reform.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a recent law graduate or early career professional with an outstanding eye for detail, strong analytical and research skills, and demonstrable experience in writing and communicating persuasively.

Working closely with our tight-knit and dynamic team, you will help deliver our unique court monitoring programme by following major cases related to corruption and economic crime that are heard in the UK courts. This work will give you invaluable first-hand exposure to legal proceedings across a range of courts and tribunals in England and Wales – not only high-profile criminal prosecutions and asset recovery proceedings, but also major commercial litigation and other civil claims, as well as judicial review proceedings and regulatory enforcement action.

As the legal fellow, you will benefit from the mentorship of a leading barrister as well as other support when drafting court applications or submissions and scoping potential opportunities for strategic litigation that could advance Spotlight’s advocacy objectives. Working closely with the Deputy Director, you will also engage with other top lawyers who serve on Spotlight’s strategic litigation advisory board. In the course of this work, you will help build our relationships with the legal sector as well as strengthen our relationships with law enforcement agencies, civil servants, journalists, and civil society partners, particularly in the Global South.

Drawing on your close monitoring of court cases and engagement with law enforcement agencies, legal practitioners and other experts, you will contribute evidence-based research, briefings, blogs and commentary on core areas of our work. This will require forensic attention to detail, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, and a flair for communicating complex issues in a compelling and accessible way. 

You will be confident working with complex legal materials and following court proceedings while showing enthusiastic, creative and strategic engagement with the broader policy issues arising from our casework. You will feel comfortable drafting briefings to inform parliamentarians and influence decision-makers as well as contributing blogs and rapid-response social media commentary on key developments to advance Spotlight’s key messages.

The successful applicant must be London based in order to attend court hearings and regular team meetings. 

Key Responsibilities:

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.

Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision. You will be adept at juggling front line work and management responsibilities, with an ability to prioritise, work collaboratively and demonstrate innovation in time management and service delivery methods.

The Senior Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role in the Chief Executive’s Office, working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive and members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the smooth and effective execution of strategic, operational, and governance priorities. Acting as a trusted partner and first point of contact, the Senior Executive Assistant will proactively manage high-level administrative functions, facilitate internal and external stakeholder engagement, and contribute to organisation-wide planning and coordination. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Executive Support

· Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted liaison for the Deputy Chief Executive, managing their calendar, commitments, and priorities with discretion and strategic foresight.

· Proactively coordinate complex diaries, internal and external meetings, and briefings, ensuring effective time management and optimal scheduling across teams and stakeholders.

· Prepare agendas, compile and distribute papers, attend meetings as needed, and record minutes and action points with professionalism and accuracy.

· Manage comprehensive travel arrangements (domestic and international), including bookings, itineraries, visa requirements, and expenses in line with organisational policy.

· Screen incoming correspondence (emails, calls, invitations), handle or redirect enquiries, and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up.

· Provide responsive and high-quality administrative support across the Senior Leadership Team as needed, in coordination with the Executive Support Manager.

Governance, Project and Strategic Support

· Coordinate and manage key organisational meetings including: Monthly Heads meetings across ARUK and Fundraising and Marketing Leadership Team (FMLT) meetings

· Act as a senior member of the Executive Support team, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues with guidance, training, and mentoring where appropriate and deputising for the Executive Support Manager where appropriate

· Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase the efficiency and impact of the Chief Executive’s Office.

· Stay informed of sector developments, best practices in executive support, and opportunities for innovation within the charity’s operations.

The Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer will work alongside the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications to help deliver Rising Sun’s fundraising targets during this exciting period of growth for the charity.

The main focus of the role is finding, attracting and stewarding new funders to help deliver Rising Sun’s life changing services. You will write compelling funding proposals that demonstrate the impact of our services and how we meet funders’ requirements. You will build strong relationships with grant officers from various foundations, providing regular updates and communicating challenges, solutions and successes as appropriate to develop our reputation as an effective, reliable and trustworthy organisation.  Alongside this you will be nurturing our existing portfolio of funders to help prioritise multi-year funding.

Working with you in the Fundraising Team will be the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications, Trusts and Foundations Officer, Community Fundraising Officer and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Team. As part of the team you will help to develop fundraising materials such as case studies, impact reports and cases for support.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who loves building and nurturing relationships and has a passion for fundraising. In addition, you will have excellent writing skills and experience of generating income from trusts and foundations to grow our income from this stream. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage part of Rising Sun’s portfolio of income and fundraising activities related to trusts and foundations.
• Keep the trusts and foundations stream of the funding pipeline healthy and up to date, carrying out research into new opportunities and meeting application deadlines. 
• Write compelling funding applications that answer funders’ questions and effectively communicate the mission, services and impact of Rising Sun.
• Develop appropriate fundraising tools, such as cases for support and impact reports.
• Support the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications to write bids for commissioned services and government funding opportunities.
• Liaise internally across the organisation to become familiar with our services and stay up to date with current trends to feed into funding applications and develop project proposals.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including survivors and grant officers.
• Be responsible for the management of successful trusts and foundations grant agreements and reporting requirements, working with the wider team to gather information and data as required.

We are recruiting for an Admissions and Assessment Coordinator to join our Specialist Family Residential Service in Sheffield. The service provides drug and alcohol recovery support for parents and their children in a residential setting.

The hours are full time, Monday to Friday 9-5, based at the Sheffield Family Residential Service, and you will be expected to take part in a on call rota to support the staff and service delivery. Flexible working can be considered.

The service is based close to Eccelsall Road/Sheffield Hallam Collegiate Campus area of Sheffield, it is easily accessible. Situated in a large Victorian Building, fully refurbished in 2022, there is free on-site parking as well and is also easily access by multiple bus routes.

The Role

We need someone who can work in a team within a residential family setting and be empowering and passionate in supporting families to make positive changes in their drug and alcohol lifestyle choices. Your role would include the following:

• To manage all enquiries and referrals made to the service, undertake comprehensive needs assessments and risk assessment for individuals.
• Liaise with Residential Manager to make placement decisions about the suitability of individuals with multiple needs.
• Welcome new residents into the service and ensure all needs of the individuals are met upon arrival.
• Be responsible for data management of referrals, assessments, ensuring all admissions are managed safely and report data in line with processes in place.
• Liaise with referrers and stakeholders to ensure promotion of new relationships and existing relationships are maintained
