Job Title: Housing Lead

Location: Havering, Close to Harold Wood Elizabeth Line station. Please note that this service does not have step free access. 

Salary: £30,400

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may need to be flexible on these hours as per service requirements.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new service which works with offenders as they are released from prison. It is a community based setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community, depending on their Licence restrictions. Join our team as a Housing Lead to play a major part in supporting our residents with their long term housing needs. You will act as a bridge between various housing stakeholders and residents, to ensure a tailored move on plan is put in place which meets the needs of all. We thrive to ensure our residents have the right access to resources and tools to support them in reintegrating into the community, and re-establishing relationships to support with their rehabilitation. 

Responsibilities include:

• Act as the main point of contact between landlords, housing associations, local authorities, private landlords, wider Social Interest Group Services, and our residents
• Work with the wider team to support residents with their long term needs
• Provide specialist support to the wider team to ensure they are regularly trained and kept up to date with policies and procedures, including government changes
• Provide regular reports and updates
• Manage current resident tenancies, ensuring timely rent payment
• Support with property and building management and maintenance including scheduling repairs

About you

We're looking for someone who has knowledge on different types of tenancies, an understanding of the types of needs of our resident group, and able to provide tailored solutions to meet their long term goals. You will have a true passion to support in making a change, supporting rehabilitation, and providing opportunities to people to make positive changes to their lives, and reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. Further, you will have:

• Previous experience in coordinating/delivering activities and interventions with people from different backgrounds
• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
• Knowledge of risk management and risk assessment
• Knowledge of license conditions and public protection
• Knowledge of tenancy management, able to share knowledge with others in the team and residents
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
• The ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
• Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others
• Proactive in making decisions
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

GENERAL

The Foundation achieved charitable status in September 2005, Charity Registration Number: 1111259. Individual Clubs are members of the central Foundation and operate according to the Lindsay Leg Club Model. The model is set out in a practical Handbook which details how Clubs can be established. It includes guidelines on the four key elements of the model, procedures, policies and standards. 

The postholder will provide advice, guidance and coaching to parents and carers of children aged 8-18 years to help them to develop new awareness and skills to enhance their support to their children through a combination of group-work and one-to-one sessions.

As part of the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership, The Eikon Charity provides a wide range of emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children & young people. Through this work we have seen how challenging parents and carers can find supporting their children’s emotional wellbeing difficulties, particularly where they have Neurodivergent needs.

Supported by new funding streams, we are delighted to be recruiting to this new role of Family Wellbeing Practitioner with Neurodevelopmental Specialism, to be a key practitioner within our Family Wellbeing Service. As a practitioner, you will hold a caseload, working as part of a team to undertake assessments and deliver a range of evidence-based interventions, including EBSNA support, with a focus on support for families with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• To assess the needs and strengths of the parents/carers referred into the service and help them identify and implement strategies that will support them, help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change
•  Deliver bespoke programmes of support, to parents/carers of children and young people diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or ADHD. This could take the form of time limited 1:1 or group sessions or a blended approach depending on the needs presenting themselves
• To support the creation and development of and deliver workshops and presentations for small parent/carer groups covering a range of emotional wellbeing and mental health topics relevant to children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions
• Record and review parent/carer goals using the Goal-Based Outcomes tool and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
• To involve parents/carers in the co-design of group work and ensure that the service responds to user voice and meets the needs identified
• To take responsibility for own caseload of parents/carers, some with complex and multiple needs
• To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with parents/carers to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated
• To provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions 
• To identify a range of specialist services and agencies who can offer further support for parents and families
• To work collaboratively with other Eikon delivery teams in delivering interventions for children, young people and families
• To promote the service within The Eikon Charity and with statutory and voluntary sector partners across the region – this might include presentations at networking events and production of promotional material
• To assist with the development and progression of the Family Wellbeing Service by adhering to all communication requests and assisting with peer progression development when requested through case supervision

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

In July of this year the Home Office announced a £53m investment over the next four years to enable the Drive Project to roll out across England and Wales. To end domestic abuse, we must address the source of the problem - the perpetrator.  This funding will make a huge difference to our efforts to support survivors, by holding perpetrators to account, stopping them from causing further harm and giving them the chance to change. 

Reporting to the Drive Director we are looking for a Drive Deputy Director to contribute to the leadership and management of the team in addition to building and nurturing strategic relationships with key stakeholders such as individuals, corporate partners, public sector organisations, and charitable trusts.  Your remit will also include working collaboratively with the Head of Programmes and Managers, to develop a growth and business development strategy for each of our four core areas of work.

As the Head of FP&A, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function across the Group. In order to be successful, we are looking for:

• ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified accountant with proven experience in managing Business Partners or equivalent finance staff in a medium - large, complex organisation.
• Experience in producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and providing analytical insights
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and timeliness in reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

AoD’s Employment Service

The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. We are at the forefront of setting up and delivering supported internships for Disabled young people. We provide an holistic service from management and employer engagement to hands-on, supervised support work across all sites.

Our Employment Service welcomes external referrals and offers support for Disabled people via our in-work support service.

We are looking to recruit several support workers to expand our pool.

Purpose of the Role

The Employment and Progression Coordinator supports Disabled young people and adults to move into and thrive in paid employment. Working within AoD’s Employment and Supported Internship programmes, the postholder will provide person-centred guidance, job coaching, and practical in-work support.

The role includes supporting current and past interns, working alongside employers to create inclusive opportunities, and promoting the benefits of employing Disabled people.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting current and past Disabled Interns

• Provide 1:1 and group support to enable people to explore their skills, interests and aspirations, and move into meaningful paid work.
• Support participants to understand their rights at work and access reasonable adjustments.

Employer Engagement and Development

• Build and maintain positive relationships with a range of employers to create and sustain inclusive job and internship opportunities.
• Encourage employers to adapt roles where needed and to provide a supportive working environment.

Programme Delivery and Administration

• Support the delivery of the Employment and Supported Internship programmes, including one-to-one sessions, group activities, and outreach events.
• Support the planning and recording of participant journeys, including achievements, placements and outcomes, using Salesforce and other tools.
• Work in line with AoD’s aims, values and the Social Model of Disability.

Additional Information

• Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required.
• Travel across Greater London will be required; travel expenses reimbursed according to policy.
