Job description

At the MND Association we strive to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers whilst working towards our vision of a world free from MND.

We are now looking for a dynamic, committed and innovative Service Development Manager to join our team in Northern Ireland.

Salary: c.£37,000 per annum FTE (c.£22,500 pro-rata) plus benefits + lease car

Hours: Part-time 22.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Homebased covering Northern Ireland

About the role

Your role will be to identify the need for and influence the delivery of improvements in statutory and other services, to help develop new approaches to the delivery of care and support and to manage the resolution of care and support issues for people affected by MND.

Reporting direct to the Head of Region and working closely with them, local staff and our Northern Ireland Branch to plan and prioritise, you will be responsible for working across Northern Ireland and with many colleagues from the wider Association.

You will be:

  • A self-starter able to work on your own initiative within defined boundaries
  • Someone who is able to plan, to implement and to deliver
  • Enthusiastic, creative and solutions focussed
  • Adept at developing and managing a wide range of stakeholder relationships
  • A great team player and people person
  • Able to travel extensively and occasionally stay overnight
