The Membership Engagement Officers (MEOs) are actively engaged within their areas, meeting Branch members, supporting their activities and building a stronger membership fit for the next 100 years.

The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. Every day will be different as this role will see you responding to the needs of the individual county of responsibility. It is a challenging and exciting post where no two days will be the same.

You will provide organisational support, advice and information to our members, and work closely with County Committees, the membership central team staff and other departments.  This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

You will be contracted to your home address. You will be expected to work both there and on a mobile basis at other locations in Devon and the Southwest Region with occasional travel (incl. for monthly team meetings) beyond this area.

Some evening and weekend work will be required, including an occasional requirement for some overnight stays.

The successful individual is not permitted to hold a membership officer role in their designated area of work and must hold a full UK driving licence.

Given the responsibilities associated with the role, it is a requirement that you live within reasonable distance of the designated area of responsibility.

We are seeking a Reserves Officer (Hook) to join our cause.  

Reporting to the Senior Nature Recovery Manager (North Hampshire) and functioning as a key member of the North Hampshire Area Team, this post is responsible for the habitat management of Hook Commons, Bassetts Mead and North Warnborough Greens. This portfolio of sites includes a diverse mixture of heathland, acid grassland, woodland, woodpasture and wet meadow habitats; all of which are being managed or restored to favourable condition with support from the team and in partnership with organisations such as Natural England, our inhouse grazing team, local landowners and Hook Parish Council. You will lead on wood pasture creation, heathland restoration, as well as wet meadow management on the Whitewater catchment. 

The Reserves Officer (Hook) will deliver Countryside Stewardship Scheme and other work plan objectives, working with fellow staff, volunteers, contractors, project partners and the grazing team to implement habitat management activities. Estate management will also include the maintenance of reserve infrastructure and gathering ecological data through working with partners and carrying out surveying when required. This role will also involve working closely with colleagues in the north reserves team to support the team objectives across our sites including large areas of MOD estate and Pamber Forest; while also maintaining a close and supportive relationship with our grazing team.

Healthwatch City of London are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced communications and engagement officer to ensure that the patient and service users voice is at the heart of Health and Social Care decision making.  The successful candidate will drive engagement with the local community, creating visibility of our work to residents and partners. This part time role (4 days a week) is within a busy small team representing the residents, workers and students of the City of London. Healthwatch City of London are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. We also work to get services right for the future.

About the role:

This role is based out of our Chandlers Ford office on a hybrid basis with the expectation of 60% of your working week from the office. • Event Coordination and Representation: Organising and representing Victim Support at community events such as Pride, 999 Days, and local fairs. You will engage directly with victims and witnesses of crime, offering immediate emotional and practical support.
• Delivering Presentations: Designing and delivering impactful presentations to criminal justice partners, including police and probation services, to promote collaboration and raise awareness of Victim Support's work.
• Community Relationship Building: Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with community leaders, local organisations, and stakeholders to enhance outreach and support networks.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. The Woodland Trust is looking for a Conservation Officer - Mourne Park on a fixed term contract until December 2029 to support the work on the development and delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.

The Role: 
•    This is a key role in The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.  The Conservation Officer will be required to work on the development and delivery of woodland creation and restoration operations, natural and built heritage and countryside access projects and local habitat auditing and assessment programmes.
•    The role will be responsible for providing advice and assessments to landowners who wish to participate on the woodland creation or restoration element of the project and continually monitor work undertaken to ensure successful implementation.
•    You will co-ordinate and oversee implementation work on heritage conservation projects identified by the project, including the writing of management plans when required.
•    You are responsible for fostering good relations with partners, contractors, interested organisations and individuals, local people, visitors and the media. Identifying, reviewing and meeting with potential partners who could assist the project to meet its objectives and whose objectives could be assisted by the project. 
•    This role is based is home based and in Mourne Park, Northern Ireland and will require the successful candidate to travel to site and around Northern Ireland as required.
•    This role is a funded fixed term role until December 2029.
•    This role will require an enhanced DBS check as part of our pre-employment checks.

The Candidate: 
•    You have an enthusiasm for the environment and share our core values-Grow Together, Explore, Focus and Make it Count.
•    Hands on experience in project delivery especially in complex, multi-disciplinary projects bringing together a variety of skills from both within and outside the organisation to plan, monitor and deliver projects on time and to budget.
•    You’ll have experience in forestry or conservation land management experience, including experience of volunteer and community engagement.
•    You will be proficient in the procuring, managing and supervision of contractors on complex operations including habitat restoration, natural and/or built heritage projects.
•    Extensive experience in managing contractors and complex contracts from procurement through to on site supervision and management.
•    You’ll have achievement in working with, developing and managing land management and owning partners.
•    You’ll have a collaborative approach, with the ability to work with multiple teams, building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders effectively. 
•    You’ll know about the techniques for habitat restoration, habitat creation for conservation objectives, and experience of managing habitats with a focus on woodland sites.
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbally being able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, especially volunteers using a variety of methods to suite the audience. 
•    This role does require regular travel to and from Mourne Park and Northern Ireland. A full UK driving licence is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe. The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. 

The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer. This position requires excellent relationship management, organisational and communication skills.

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, processing collections (through ULI CT or ULI Europe) and preparing donor reports in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.  
• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team. 
• Collaborate closely with team members of the ULI Europe business Development and Membership team, in addition to ULI’s country directors and governance director to support the planning of, and coordinate the implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy determined by ULI Europe (namely by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee), focusing on both donations from individuals based in Europe and donations from European philanthropic foundations and government programmes;  
• Work with and manage relationships with individual and institutional donors, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee; 
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies; 
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Set up and implement application, reporting and compliance process for philanthropic gifts for ULI Europe.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide operational management support across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance, Benefit and Debt (FBD) services in Wales.  You will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users, who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison, and provide leadership and operational management support in debt and welfare benefits to a team of Financial Wellbeing Coaches (FWCs) and Peer Advisor volunteers employed in the delivery of the contracts.

We will also rely on you to set performance objectives with FWCs and monitor progress, monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance to ensure compliance with policy and procedures, and to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with local Wales Probation managers and staff as well as other external stakeholders.  Managing partnerships and ensuring there is a safe and trusting working environment for staff are also vital aspects of the role.

What we are looking for

• Experience of working in or managing services supporting challenging people, for example people who have complex needs and those who are reluctant to discuss their needs
• Experience of working in or managing multi-agency partnerships working towards common objectives and outcomes
• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice
• Higher level certificate in money and/or welfare benefit advice from accreditation providers
• Wide range of money advice knowledge, budgeting, dealing with priority and non-priority debts, County Court/High Court options, insolvency options and a range of welfare benefits

The Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to grow World Child Cancer’s individual giving.
