World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.

About World Child Cancer

Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.

World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.

Overview of the role

This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.

You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. We are looking for someone experienced in corporate and philanthropy fundraising, who is proactive, confident in engaging with high value funders, able to develop strong internal and external relationships, has strong verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative way of working and experience in developing new business.

As the post-holder, you will be working in our Camden Women's Recovery Service hostel providing specialist interventions for a designated caseload and to the wider client group, via our in-house recovery programme. 

Your role will be working intensively with the residents on their supports needs. The role of Complex Needs Project Worker is a specialist role, designed to work with people who may be more difficult to reach and establish working relationships with.  As such, you will role model good practice for working with those who have experienced multiple disadvantage by adopting a trauma informed approach.

Within this setting, you will also work to establish a culture of co-production where residents are at the forefront of the work that is carried out, helping to promote autonomy and build individual confidence and interpersonal skills.

The rota for the post is earlies (8 am - 4 pm) and lates (2.30pm - 10.30pm).

About you

We are seeking candidates with experience in managing the development,  production and delivery of web content and digital products, including e-learning resources, videos, podcasts, and images, for a high traffic and information rich website.

The successful candidate will have experience of implementing a digital-first strategy which supports and refines customer-focused outputs. You will be versed in content management systems (e.g. WordPress), information architecture, and user-experience (UX) design as it pertains to effective usability and accessibility. You will have experience of the daily operation and fluid maintenance of a large website and platform that works for our audiences and supports our wider business development aims of generating interest and sales in SCIE’s products and services.

You will have experience of managing external contractors (e.g. designers, photographers, illustrators, developers, etc.) as well as using tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and Hotjar, and understanding how web statistics and user feedback collection and analysis can help us engage with our audiences better.

You will understand the digital needs of a wide range of SCIE’s stakeholders, including for example, people with visual impairments and people with learning disabilities, and how to ensure that our digital products and web content work for all audiences.

Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life. 

This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with an internationally focused animal charity in their search for a Trusts Fundraising Manager.

As Trusts Fundraising Manager, you will manage the delivery of the trusts fundraising strategy, including work to identify and research potential new sources of trusts funding. You will develop and manage the delivery of an annual work plan and pipeline for the trusts fundraising programme, including time-sensitive trust applications, to grow income. You will research and make approaches, pitches, submissions and applications to charitable trusts and foundations (both in the UK and overseas territories). You will also develop new and existing relationships with trusts through exemplary stewardship to maximise long term income, secure new sources of funding, upgrade existing levels of giving, repeat donations and multi-year funding.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Experience of working in a fundraising management role or equivalent, with a track record of developing and maintaining relationships with partners and/or potential supporters that ultimately generate income.
• Experience of managing a trusts fundraising programme, and developing a trusts pipeline or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the current trusts fundraising market, including potential supporters.
• Proven ability in developing and producing effective, cohesive, motivating and inspiring proposals, approaches, presentations and funding reports.

 Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge are working in partnership with Stepney and Wapping Primary Care Network’s Neighbourhood Team to support the Transformation of Mental Health Services across Tower Hamlets.

Tower Hamlets is one of the pilot Boroughs to implement the Community Mental Health Framework which aim is to redesign the offer to support people with serious mental illness (SMI) to not just get back on track with their lives but to be happier and more fulfilled.

The programme is grounded in a population health approach to SMI, delivered through and with Primary Care Networks in Tower Hamlets, with an ambitious vision to support more patients closer to home and reduce the stigma and fragmentation in existing services.

Purpose of the role

 The Community Connector will be responsible for working within the Neighbourhood Team within Stepney and Wapping PCN to ensure that people with SMI are able to live fulfilled lives through offering of one-to-one support to set goals towards their aspirations, needs and to offer hope and choice using a range of skill, knowledge and tools to achieve this. The community connector is seen as valuable asset to our neighbourhoods and act us a local expert, gathering and sharing information about local services.

The post holder will work collaborative and in partnership with the Multi-Disciplinary Teams and local Services and Community Groups to create pathways of support for people and to will act as the ‘glue’, linking people in with experts and local assets, and undertaking support work in partnership with external stakeholders to complement their interventions. The post holder will support people to identify the wider issues that impact on their health and wellbeing, such as debt, poor housing, employment circumstances and unemployment, loneliness, isolation and caring responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

 Case Management

 · To support and offer opportunities for the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health in the design, delivery and monitoring of services.

· To conduct regular innovative and engaging sessions (virtually or in person) in order to work towards support plan goals.

· To use a range of tools and skills such as health coaching and motivational interviewing techniques, identify barriers to people accessing services, and work with service users to overcome these.

Community Development

 · Develop productive relationships with local partner organisations to improve service outcomes, and involve service users and carers in the design, development, and delivery of the service.

· Triage referrals and signpost to specialist support quickly where necessary, and deal with general queries to contribute to the overall smooth running of the neighbourhood team.

Monitoring and Compliance

 · Ensure accurate and timely record keeping and data collection in line with MindTHNR’s and ELFT’s policies and procedures

· obtain and collate feedback from services user and their carers and ensure that these are recorded and shared with Neighbourhood Team and MindTHNR

· Maintain confidentiality and ensure that information is stored according to Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge policies and service guidelines, GDPR and data compliance.

 General

 · Act as an ambassador and represent Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge at external functions, events, giving talks and presentations to inform and inspire.

· Comply with, promote, and contribute to the development of MindTHNR’s: Aims and Values, Equality, Diversity and Inclusive principles and all organisational policies.

You must have:

· To have attained a minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent

· Demonstrable and substantial experience of providing 1:1 support in mental health within voluntary or statutory settings

· Good knowledge and understanding of the diverse population in East London, their needs, complexities and the inequalities they may experience

· Experience of setting up and facilitating wellbeing groups and activities and delivering monitoring and evaluation activities in a 1:1 or group setting

· Experience of working collaboratively with local people, community, and statutory organisations with a working knowledge of the principles of co-production, involvement, and peer work within mental health services

· Experience of using skills and tools such as coaching or motivational interviewing techniques

· Demonstrable ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion practices.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. You’ll use creative tools and techniques to demonstrate impact and inspire future action.
