The Senior Communications & Marketing Officer role offers the opportunity to join a young and growing registered charity at an exciting point in its evolution, and to help establish Crystal Palace Park as an exemplar in urban park management, community-led regeneration and cultural and heritage programming whilst restoring its position as one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions.

We are looking for a creative, organised and audience-focused marketing and communications professional to join the Trust. Reporting to the Senior Communications & Marketing Manager, you will work with the whole team identifying the best ways to use our different channels to share our unique and inspiring stories and develop our profile at local, national and international levels. 

You will have experience of coordinating marketing and communications activity, ideally in a visitor-facing venue. 

You will have oversight of the website, social media platforms, e-newsletter and audience research programme and will support with press enquiries, PR and content development. We are looking to recruit a motivated and talented individual with strong project management skills to lead the delivery of the training function within the BSI. Reporting directly to the Director of Events and Training, and in collaboration with the wider BSI team, the Training Manager will be responsible for the delivery of existing training programmes and for devising, setting up and rolling out new training courses by working with BSI members to develop content and curricula, utilising different platforms from face-to-face to remote learning and supporting marketing of the courses to relevant sectors.

This role is responsible for engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to help identify training needs and opportunities that the BSI can meet. This will include opportunities in several sectors including clinical, scientific and public/patient focused. As the national voice for further education (FE) colleges in England, AoC represents and supports member colleges with professional services, advocacy, and sector leadership. This senior leadership role will oversee the strategic direction and delivery of AoC’s workforce function – including directing FE workforce policy, industrial relations and pay, employment advice, recruitment, and consultancy. This is a varied and strategic role that combines leadership, sector advocacy, and operational oversight across FE employment and workforce priorities.

Job Summary
Under its current 5-year strategy (2021 – 2025), ‘Choosing Peace in times of fear & division’, Place for Hope has successfully grown and diversified its partnerships, funding and volunteer team. This has enabled us to grow our reach and impact in equipping people and faith communities to be peacemakers working towards a more peaceful and reconciled world. 

The new Director of Place for Hope will continue to develop Place for Hope as they work with Trustees, Staff and Volunteers to shape and finalise the next 5-year strategy that ensures Place for Hope is fit for purpose in a changing UK landscape for charities and faith communities. They will provide leadership and to be responsible for the overall management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks agreed by the Board of Trustees. 

Previous experience essential to the role includes: values-based leadership; peace, conflict transformation and/or mediation; collaborating and communicating effectively with different Christian denominations and other faiths, excellent organisational and communication skills, and experience in income generation (including through building diverse partnerships).The ideal candidate would also have an interest in supporting faith communities to transform conflict, navigate change well and be able to support an internal CPD programme and culture of reflective practice.

Overview of Role: To provide operational and administrative support across the RSN’s educational programmes, including the Certificate and Diploma, Tutor Training Course, Short Courses, International Summer School and On Demand Courses.

The main duties include, but are not limited to

General Administration

• Manage the Education Email Inboxes, responding to queries and complaints as appropriate
• Monitor and order stock levels, ensuring supplies are available as needed.
• Handle the packing and mailing of kits and materials, both nationally and internationally
• Support classroom setup for various courses, including Short Courses, Bespoke Classes, and events
• Assist in preparing beverages for students and visitors, maintaining cleanliness in the area.
• Escort visitors and guests from reception, including tour groups, while representing the RSN brand confidently and enthusiastically
• Attend offsite events as required.

Course-Related Administration

• Support the Certificate and Diploma Programme Managers in the administration of the course

• Manage on-demand course operations, including kit fulfilment, customer support, and quality improvements, alongside administering the RSN Fellowship programme, coordinating CPD events, and supporting membership initiatives

About you

Based within easy commuting distance of our office in Westminster, our ideal candidate would be an experienced counsellor and supervisor who has been involved in running a counselling service and managing a team of counsellors.

The role:

This is a key role within the Executive Leadership team, with accountability for Finance, Procurement and IT at the Globe. You will work collaboratively with the CEO and Executive leadership team to drive strong business as usual delivery, and provide provide balanced insight to Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Group so that they can take responsibility for questioning routines and rituals, and for streamlining processes that improve efficiency.

The Finance Director is the lead on the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and is a key part of other relevant committees. You will also attend and report at Board meetings, developing strong working relationships with Board members, the Artistic Director, Executive Leadership members, members of the Senior Leadership Group (SLG), the Finance and Procurement team, the Globe’s IT contractor, and colleagues throughout the Globe.

The skills:

· Chartered Accountant.

· Extensive Director level business experience in a complex organisation.

· A strategic thinker with entrepreneurial instincts

· Demonstrable experience in managing contracts.

· Experience within the charities sector including understanding of the relevant accounting, taxation and other regulatory requirements this presents.

· Empathy with the work, aims and mission of the Globe including an appreciation of the balance between the charitable purpose and commercial imperatives.

· An effective and flexible leadership and management style with demonstrable ability to inspire, motivate, coach and develop a team.

· Credibility and authority to work effectively and liaise internally with senior staff and externally with Trustees and other stakeholders.

· An excellent negotiator and influencer with string emotional intelligence and good communication skills.

· Analytical problem-solving ability with the appetite and energy to evaluate, challenge and change the status quo.

· Experience in financial and risk compliance and governance issues.

· Accessible and inclusive report writing and presentation skills demonstrated as a part of Board level reporting.

· Positive, determined, pragmatic, and resilient – able to inspire confidence and respect.

· The ability to work flexibly in a creative, fast-moving environment and understand the importance of artistic risk taking and to respond positively to it.

· Experience in, or a personal interest in the arts, heritage/museum, or creative industries.

· Experience of managing IT contracts or IT staff.

The team:

The Finance Department provides timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders while protecting Shakespeare’s Globe assets and ensures compliance with laws and regulations in relation to financial and taxation matters. Serving as a key partner on topics requiring economic, financial and value for money inputs and expertise, the Finance Department manages Accounting and Financial Reporting, Tax, Banking Relationships, Procurement, Financial Risk Management, Contracts, Management Reporting, and external audit partners

As a key member of JW3's Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will lead, manage and motivate the small but mighty JW3 Development fundraising team, currently including: Head of Philanthropy, Trust & Foundations Manager, Individual Giving & Legacies Manager, and Fundraising Coordinator. You will work closely with the CEO, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Trustees, to accelerate the growth of fundraising across a diversified range of income streams to achieve long-term, sustainable income growth.

You will have responsibility for further developing and implementing an ambitious fundraising strategy in line with the organisational objectives and priorities. You will work closely with key professional and lay stakeholders - including Trustees - and will be responsible for initiating, developing and sustaining productive relationships with a range of new and existing donors; identifying and developing new prospects; creating and implementing an effective stewardship programme and initiatives; overseeing budgets; and proactively managing individual relationships. You will have the proven ability to build strong personal networks, and to engage and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

The Head of Data Insights and MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning) will lead SPANA’s strategic approach to data, evidence and learning within our Global Programmes Department (GPD). This exciting and pivotal role will oversee the design, collection and analysis of data and insights across our diverse portfolio of international working animal welfare programmes and implementing partners. 

This role will suit a strategic and solutions-focused leader with strong international programming experience in developing and delivering robust data systems, and in applying MEAL frameworks that enhance the impact and accountability. A deep commitment to SPANA’s mission to transform the welfare of working animals is essential. 

Salary, contract and location

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week) permanent role. This role is UK based, with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 times per month) in our London office. The salary for this role is approximately £55,000-£60,000, dependent on expereiunce.
