About this role

As Head of Digital Engagement you will lead SPANA’s digital presence across web, email, social and emerging platforms – ensuring the organisation’s voice, brand and mission are powerfully communicated to global audiences. You will also provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to the digital team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence to maximise impact and drive growth.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role with a salary of approximately £55,000 per annum subject to skills and experience. This role is UK based, and candidates must have the current right to work in the UK. SPANA staff work remotely, attending our London office once or twice a month (or more if preferred).

About the Role: We wish to appoint a Mission and Ministry Trainer to join our Mission and Ministry team.  This is an exciting opportunity to support the vision and strategy for missionary discipleship and lay ministry within Winchester diocese.

Job Summary

As part of a wider Mission and Ministry Team, the Mission and Discipleship Trainer will equip and support lay ministers and all interested learners in their theological understanding, spiritual growth, and practical ministry skills. They will contribute to the teaching and worship life of the diocese, engaging with a breadth of Anglican traditions.There are three key aspects of the responsibilities in this role.

• The first is, in communication with the Mission and Discipleship Enabler, to develop more contextual and locally based training contexts for existing and emerging learning and training programmes to facilitate more accessibility for parishes and benefices for which the diocesan offices are less accessible. This will involve working with strategic places identified in the South, Southwest, and North of the diocese to implement the vision to establish ‘satellite’ training centres. Initially this will focus on BPP (Bishop’s Permission to Preach); BCM programmes (Bishop’s Commission for Mission); and introductory theology and discipleship programmes.
• The second is promoting discipleship and ministerial training through networking and intentional communications to accelerate efforts being made to equip a broader demographic of Christians with leadership skills in view of the diocesan and national Church of England vision and values to become ‘younger and more diverse’. This will involve working collaboratively with the Mission and Discipleship Enabler, the Young Vocations Team (team under development), and the Racial Justice Advisor, alongside other team members and also work with clergy to understand specific contexts of training needs arising. Success in promotions and ‘recruitment’ of more diverse Christians will require working with the COMs team to support effective use of social media to target younger audiences, facilitate fast updates of events, and identify opportunities for story sharing. 
• Thirdly, there is a responsibility to oversee, grow, and develop the network of Children, Youth and Families ministers/workers. This will include responsibility for organising, hosting and, where appropriate, delivering training at these events, and overseeing the BCM in Children, Youth and Families work. Part of the work will also be to support specific CYF workers including, where helpful, visiting them on site to encourage and advise them in their work and put them in communication with the network for mutual ongoing support. It will involve keeping up to date with the national initiatives for CYF to facilitate a connected approach. An important development in this aspect of the role will be to help implement a vision for more collaborative work with the Education Team to promote and help facilitate close working between churches and schools across the diocese. 

Key role requirements:

This is an office-based role, with the expectation to work for 2-3 days per week from home. The role will involve travel across the diocese, with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

About you: We are seeking someone who can demonstrate the following background and experience:

• A BA (Hons) or equivalent in theology is essential. An MA or higher degree in theology is desirable. Excellent level of English both spoken and written. 
• Demonstrated success in training, and supporting volunteer teams is essential.
• Experience in developing and maintaining digital learning environments and online resources is essential.
• Track record of evaluating learning outcomes and adapting training approaches based on participant feedback. 
• Experience in teaching theology and facilitating worship across diverse Anglican traditions.

ROLE PURPOSE

To manage the finance function of the charity and provide excellent finance support for the Senior Executive which will include:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Staff management

1.1. Carry out all line management duties in line with organisational policy and procedure, including:

• Diversity and inclusion - encouraging an inclusive environment.
• Recruiting and inducting good quality staff o Proactively addressing performance, conduct or other employee relations issues.
• Support and coach your direct report to ensure objectives and development goals are achieved.

2. Management of Income and Payments Processing Operations

2.1. Responsible for ensuring that all fundraising and investment income is accurately recorded in the finance system.

2.2. Ensure the reconciliation of all income data from the bank against Raiser’s Edge (CRM system) to ensure data is accurate and complete and then recorded in the finance system once reconciled.

2.3. Manage an efficient and effective Accounts Payable function, ensuring that the work performed by the Senior Finance Assistant is at the required standard.

2.4. Lead on all communications with internal stakeholders, including Trust finance and Special Purpose Fund Advisers, to resolve any issues arising and produce monitoring reports on a regular basis.

3. Transactional accounting and fund management

3.1. Ensure systems are in place to identify and correctly record restricted donations, so that these are properly monitored and utilised.

4. Financial Control Framework

4.1. In consultation with the Director of Finance & Operations, ensure that appropriate controls, processes and procedures are in place, regularly reviewed and assessed for operational effectiveness.

4.2. Review and update Finance Procedures and effectively communicate these to staff, arranging training where necessary, within the Finance Department and across the Charity.

4.3. Ensure effective maintenance of the balance sheet, including regular key control account reconciliations (bank and other).

4.4. Monitoring of balances with the Trust, ensuring these are promptly settled, with discrepancies investigated and resolved.

5. Management Reporting

5.1. Delivery of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for the Charity, including enhancing the production process and communication of timetables.

5.2. Co-ordinate the production of narrative reports to support review by the Director of Finance & Operations.

6. Financial reporting and audit

6.1. Lead the Finance team in the production of financial statements which are fully compliant with the Charity SORP to meet required audit and Board approval deadlines.

6.2. Lead the relationship with external auditors and all arrangements surrounding the annual audit fieldwork.

6.3. Preparing required audit documentation in accordance with agreed timetables. 

7. Budgeting and Forecasting

7.1. Assist the Director of Finance & Operations in the production of annual budgets, working closely with budget holders within the Charity to ensure completed in accordance with agreed timescales.

7.2. Lead on the quarterly re-forecast process, producing relevant analyses to understand and monitor key changes.

8. Banking and Investments

8.1. Work alongside the Director of Finance & Operations to maintain a strong relationship with the Charity’s banking and investment managers and take the lead on the day to day administration of the banking arrangements.

8.2. Ensure that bank mandates are up to date.

9. Systems and Data

9.1. Finance system

• Liaise with Application’s Supplier and Trust Systems support team in the maintenance and development of the finance system, ensuring essential maintenance are carried out as necessary to prevent cyber fraud and maintain data integrity.
• Provide support to the Finance team for the accounting functionality within the finance accounting application and its integrated systems.

9.2. System maintenance and training

• Support the Director of Finance and Operations with managing user access, permissions and privileges on the finance system, ensuring that any changes to staff are reflected immediately.
• Ensure all new staff are trained on the Finance System and that current staff receive updates as necessary.

Any other duties commensurate with the post as requested by the Director of Finance & Operations.

· Write compelling and clear press releases, blogs, articles, and statements to effectively communicate our messages.

· Respond promptly to press enquiries for comments, views, and supporting information, and maximise opportunities for further engagement on relevant topics.

· Support the fundraising team by highlighting partner stories, managing PR efforts, and supporting events.

About you

Leadership and management 

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior communications position, ideally within the charity or public sectors

• Proven ability to manage both strategy and delivery programmes, balancing long-term objectives with operational priorities
• Superb manager with the proven ability to inspire, motivate, support and lead staff to thrive and create a high performing team and measurable results.

Communications and stakeholder engagement 

• Proven experience of developing and delivering marketing and/or communications plans

The Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager is a new role, bringing the staff team to eight. We are looking for someone experienced, ambitious and creative to be our first Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, to drive our fundraising strategy, create new opportunities and relationships, lead the cultivation and stewardship of new trust funders, and develop a new major donor fundraising programme.

In this role you will have strategic accountability for fundraising and overseeing progress towards fundraising targets, working with the team and the Board to generate ideas and deliver proposals for raising funds, and for highlighting our impact to potential donors. • Lead on executing Spotlight’s fundraising strategy and donor management

• Identify, maintain and develop a robust pipeline of prospects and funders across high-net-worth individuals, trusts and foundations and other appropriate giving vehicles

• Nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective trusts and foundations, high net-worth individuals and Donor-Advised Funds

Person specification - essential criteria

The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) believes that access to quality sexual and reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right. This is why we are working together with our 14,000 members and partners to shape better sexual and reproductive health for all.

FSRH is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for healthcare professionals working at the frontline of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) in a range of settings in the community and primary care. Our members include SRH specialists, GPs, nurses, midwives and pharmacists. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the lifecourse for all.

FSRH’s External Affairs Team influences policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy as well as raising awareness of SRH rights among the public. We aim to develop policy, build partnerships to enhance influencing ability, and provide external communications inclusive of media relations in order to promote the goals set out in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision and Organisational Strategy, through the promotion of the highest standards in the field of SRH.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK (APPG SRH) promotes awareness and understanding in Parliament of a range of issues relating to sexual and reproductive health across the life course (from menstruation to menopause and beyond). Backed by a passionate cohort of Parliamentarians and other stakeholders, the APPG is Co-Chaired by Dr Rupa Huq MP and Baroness Barker, supported by passionate Vice Chairs, Baroness Sugg and Maya Ellis MP.

About the role

This role plays an integral part in helping manage and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. As the Senior Manager and Deputy to the Director in the team, you will manage the team’s External Affairs Officer, and drive delivery of the ambitions contained in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision. As Manager to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare you will work directly with leading Parliamentarians and partners to manage and deliver the APPG’s annual programme of work and meetings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. A background in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as proven project management and events experience is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.

The Governance Administrator & Clerk to the Board will provide an exceptionally high level of governance and administrative support to the School’s Boards and Committees and the Board of Directors for Rambert Grades (a joint venture between the School and Rambert). People’s Palace Projects (PPP) is a research-led arts charity based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) of Arts Council England (ACE). We develop collaborative arts-based projects with artists, activists, academics, policy advocates, and audiences to address social and climate injustices in the UK, Brazil and beyond.
