The role:

Project Administration

• Provide administrative support for specialty projects, ensuring key deadlines and milestones are tracked.

War on Want is recruiting a Head of Campaigns - Strategy and Impact to bring in strategic level capacity to War on Want campaigns.

War on Want is dynamic, radical organisation that runs hard-hitting campaigns against the root causes of poverty and human rights violation, mobilising support and building alliances to fight for human rights, especially workers’ rights, raising public awareness of the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice, and empowering people to take action for change. Reporting to the Director of Campaigns, Policy and Programmes, this is a new role working within the department to provide strategic oversight and coordination across War on Want’s campaigning portfolio, to evolve the organisation’s creative tools and techniques for both online and offline campaigning, and lead on impact learning to inform the development of campaign plans.

The role is both strategic and operational, supporting the development and integration of national and international campaigns that will engage and mobilise new and existing supporters, with a particular focus on War on Want’s priority campaign programme areas on Justice for Palestine and on a Global Green New Deal.

We are looking for an experienced campaign strategist who knows how to drive campaigns forward, familiar with the different tools and techniques to inspire online and offline campaigning, and who can spark creative ways to deliver impact and secure campaign successes working effectively and collaboratively across teams. We’ll be asking you to do this

• With the guidance of a Senior Account Director, lead a portfolio of bespoke sports events for some of the UK’s biggest corporate and charity brands
• Build close relationships with a number of clients simultaneously, earning the trust of stakeholders to develop the accounts towards renewal
• Maintain momentum with both internal and client teams, creating project timelines and weekly meetings (drawing up agendas and managing follow up actions to completion)
• Plan and execute the participant journey, managing the online registration system, inbox traffic, copy writing of email comms and creating event guides
• Support the creation of event branding (from brief to production to delivery)
• Process and transfer participant data to relevant parties ensuring GDPR compliance
• Shaping, presenting and managing budgets for additional activation plans that meet client objectives

The Donmar has an exceptional ability to raise private funds, and the vital importance of fundraising is recognised across the organisation and embedded in the overall strategy. Each year we raise around half our income through fundraising from a varied number of sources, with corporate income representing around a third of the fundraised income. The Development team is led by the Director of Strategic Development and Fundraising, and comprises 11 people.

Purpose of role

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will join the Development department at a time of rapid and exciting growth for the team, with a remit to lead a high achieving and ambitious team of three to achieve significant revenue targets through partnerships and sponsorships, oversee a successful corporate masterclass programme and research and implement new opportunities to generate revenue.

Who We Are Looking For

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious and highly motivated individual who thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment with senior experience in corporate development, and who is interested in playing a critical role at one of the UK's leading producing theatres. The successful candidate will be a brilliant relationship builder and manager, both internally and externally. They will enjoy a close working relationship with the Director of Strategic Development and Fundraising, the wider development team and members of the senior management team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive Support

• Act as liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, drafting communications and ensuring clear, timely information flow; supporting scheduling of meetings and tracking of actions and, with support from the CRM Manager, ensuring key contacts and relationship data are accurately and securely maintained on the organisation’s central database.
• Coordinate meetings and agendas with the CEO, Director of Finance and Operations, Chair of the Board, and Board sub-committees; manage papers and follow-up actions.

PURPOSE

This role sits within the growing development team and will be responsible for managing a US and International portfolio of current and prospective major donors, cultivating relationships with individuals, trusts, and corporations and soliciting major gifts and stewarding donors effectively to encourage their lasting support. The Senior Development Manager will connect these stakeholders to our mission through a combination of face-to-face meetings, events, written proposals, and compelling presentations.

The Senior Development Manager  West Coast will report to the Director of Development US for the WHO Foundation. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising and portfolio management:

• Responsible for delivering major gifts from HNWIs, philanthropists, corporates, foundations in support of WHO’s strategic priorities in the US— particularly in major markets such as the Bay Area, Seattle, and Southern California.

• Manage a portfolio of 60-80 prospective donors (250K to 5 million USD capacity) and develop them across all stages of cultivation.

• In partnership with the Regional Director US, design and implement a comprehensive development strategy for the West Coast, aligned with the Foundation’s development goals.

• Meet a yearly set of agreed fundraising KPIs (including money raised, asks made, meetings secured and gift close rate).

• Efficiently use the CRM to record and report on activity: feeding into campaign data, team reporting and management information for the senior leadership team.

Relationship management:

• Develop and implement effective cultivation/ solicitation strategies with potential donors to motivate significant gifts to match fundraising priorities. 

• Initiate and grow a personal network of senior key influencers who are able to advise and make introductions to strengthen and grow our major donor base.

• Build mutually beneficial relationships with WHOF and WHO colleagues, particularly in relation to fundraising projects, and align programmes of activity where appropriate. 

• Create shared opportunities that support and advance the Foundation's fundraising priorities.

• Translate complex ideas into compelling messages tailored to supporters.

• Contribute to the concept, planning and delivery of events and other opportunities to engage with WHOF’s community of supporters.

PROFILE

• Significant experience of managing principal gift portfolios and closing 6- and 7-figure gifts

Inter Mediate is a London-based peacemaking charity supporting confidential negotiations in some of the world’s most challenging conflicts. Now in its second decade of operations, Inter Mediate is seeking a Projects Manager to join our small, specialised team to support our work on dialogue processes and sensitive negotiations, with a particular focus on Asia. Our work in Asia covers conflicts in South and East Asia.

The Projects Manager will be responsible for:  

· Supporting and implementing Inter Mediate’s existing projects portfolio of peace talks and other high-level peace initiatives;

· Building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders in conflict and peace processes, mainly in South and East Asia.;

· Identifying and developing entry points for new projects;

· Monitoring and analysing political developments across areas relevant to Inter Mediate’s work;

· Preparing project proposals and budgets, narrative and financial reporting, and collecting evidence of project impact.

 Specific responsibilities:

· Working with the relevant Project Directors to support the development, management and delivery of existing Inter Mediate conflict resolution and dialogue projects, with a geographic focus on South and East Asia;

· At least 6 years of work experience in conflict resolution or peace process support for a governmental, non-governmental or inter-governmental organisation, or an equivalent field such as diplomacy, humanitarian access, or international development;

About Woman's Trust

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm.
