With a focus on the strategic development side of the team you will cultivate information into initiatives such as the development of curricula or standards but also ongoing initiatives which will serve to increase routes into the workforce for both existing and emerging groups of doctors and allied health professionals. Leading and motivating a high-performing and dedicated team to do so.

What you’ll do: 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
• Build and maintain the team’s programme of activities, ensuring resources are appropriately planned to deliver individual projects as needed.
• Work with the Head of Workforce Development and Training and Workforce Project Officers to plan and agree deliverable programmes of work over the college year.
• Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of workforce development initiatives, ensuring alignment with RCR objectives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest impact and reach.
• Establish and oversee necessary quality assurance mechanisms for workforce and training programmes.

Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge sharing events both online and face to face across the organisation in addition to overseeing technical publications.

We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Food Security. This individual will oversee the Food Security function, including the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners around the world as they establish initiatives targeting fish production, availability and affordability, to promote nutrition, food security and financial returns of fishers through assessments of the nutritional value of key fisheries, sustainable fisheries management, waste reduction initiatives, and interventions that increase the economic and nutritional value, as well as durability, of fish catch. These types of tools and materials include:

The Individual Giving and Legacies Manager role sits within the charity’s Public Fundraising team, which as well as Individual Giving, Legacies and In-Memory Fundraising, includes Events and Community Fundraising.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in Cure Parkinson’s continued ambitious growth. Joining us at an exciting time for the charity, you would be part of a small but dynamic team with the opportunity to develop and make your own mark.

You will lead the growth of our Individual Giving programme, bringing new donors on board across traditional and digital streams. You will be responsible for the retention and reactivation of supporters, maximising their lifetime value; ensuring the best possible supporter experience and delivering annual net income growth in individual giving.

You will also lead our small legacy programme, which has huge ambition for growth; maximising the opportunities available to encourage new and current supporters to leave a gift in their Will. You will be responsible for any legacy administration, working alongside internal and external parties to ensure that all estates are correctly administered, and that we realise the full value of the legacies left to Cure Parkinson’s.

You will be working with supporters to answer their questions about legacy and in-memory giving, and working with the next of kin to ensure that their loved one's legacy is cherished.

We are looking for a creative thinker that has enthusiasm and motivation to lead these areas of work. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as being a collaborative team member. You will be supported by the Head of Public Fundraising to achieve transformational results across Individual Giving and Legacies. The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. In addition, the Head of Programmes is also appointed as the Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) Officer, serving as the first point of contact for member agencies to report incidents regarding safeguarding, financial misconduct and reputational risk.

Externally, the Head of Programmes liaises with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Senior Response Officers, UN OCHA, Charity Commission, Emergency Appeals Alliance, Member Agencies including Humanitarian Directors and in-country colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

Communication and Collaboration

• Key point of contact with member colleagues regarding programmes finance, adaptive programming and DEC compliance, facilitating timely and accurate communication.
• Contribute to DEC functional and advisory groups, Board sub-committee meetings and Board meetings including participation in Humanitarian Directors meetings.
• As a key point of contact with FCDO SROs, develop and maintain a positive and collaborative relationship, and ensure timely delivery of all UK Aid Match MOU obligations.
• Strengthen and maintain colleagues understanding of DEC’s ways of working both internally and externally (DEC HQ members, in-country colleagues and local partners and key stakeholders).

Analysis and Reporting

• Provide oversight to the review and analysis of member charity appeal budget plans and financial reports with a focus on compliance with DEC policies and good practice guidelines to assess unusual variances and value for money considerations.
• Deliver and contribute to timely and high-quality infographics, reports and briefings for key stakeholders and institutional donors including Board of Trustees, FCDO and BBC.
• Manage & maintain investment in public transparency and demonstrate DEC’s contribution to the humanitarian sector, including reporting to IATI and UN OCHA Financial Tracking Service (FTS).
• Continuously develop, improve and manage DEC’s Knowledge Information Management systems (KIM), as user-friendly collaborating platforms that enhance learning and enable data analysis, visualisation and high-quality reporting.
• Collect, analyse and present accurate and timely data to help inform a rapid assessment of appeal Criteria 2 for both rapid onset and evolving protracted crises and contribute to the development of the Case for Appeal.

 Management and Leadership

• Holistic and flexible approach to any given scenario/context, whilst ensuring a robust process is followed, recorded and documented.
• Deputise for the Director of Humanitarian Programmes and Accountabilit
• Effectively line manage and provide leadership to Grant Managers and Programme Officers, contributing to the high performance of the Programmes & Accountability team.

This is a unique opportunity for a person with experience in delivering training programmes, to lead our School Chef Educator Programme. This programme supports school chefs to improve their school food, and begin their journey as food educators. About you and the role

In this role, you will manage and scale the School Chef Educator Programme, a 10-week training initiative for school kitchen staff. London National Park City is looking for a highly collaborative Community Director to join our growing team. You will help us develop and enhance the way all Londoners can participate every day in making our city greener, healthier and wilder.

London National Park City is the long term grassroots movement for everyone making London greener, healthier and wilder. London became the world's first National Park City in 2019 with aim of making our city a place where people and nature are better connected.

This new senior role will be responsible for developing a deeply participatory approach to what it means to be part of the London National Park City community and movement. You will draw upon the wealth of experiments, storytelling, and community programming which has already taken place, and shape the next stage of how we build our movement, and support grassroots communities in every neighbourhood of London.

The core of this role will be the stewardship of our Ranger programme, supporting our community of volunteer Rangers, along with recruiting and managing local Ranger Coordinators in a number of London Boroughs as funding is secured. Key to this will be developing relationships with partner civil society organisations, and working closely with our Partnerships Manager.

You’ll be experienced in building and supporting ‘on’ and ‘offline’ communities, and keen to learn and adopt new and engaging approaches to membership, while sharing what you learn with the wider team and community.

You’ll be disciplined, organised and an excellent verbal and written communicator. You’ll be creative, and willing to chip in, helping out across the organisation, and keeping all our stakeholders and partners informed.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing our overall approach to community building and participatory membership for individuals, and those from community and civil society groups, and business or corporate members. Your primary responsibility will be evolving and supporting the development of our volunteer Ranger community, enabling each Ranger to be more impactful within their own communities.

Community Membership

• Develop programmes and communications which allow every Londoner to contribute towards delivering the goals and commitments set out in the Charter for London National Park City.
• Detail and implement pathways for everyone to participate and contribute in expanding the reach and impact of London National Park City., and lead and participate in activities within their communities.
• Gather and share activities and contributions from our community, with regular updates on member activities, and collaborations.
• Support ongoing improvements to our email and social media signup journeys on our websites, using ConvertKit, Copper CRM and other tools.
• Contribute membership content to our online Mighty Networks community, websites, email and social media campaigns.

Ranger Community

• Understand and represent the broad needs of our Ranger community and what they need to actively lead greater participation with London National Park City.
• Maintain contacts and working relationships with London National Park City Rangers supporting them to inspire Londoners to make the city greener, healthier and wilder and helping more people to enjoy being outdoors.
• Report on Ranger activities, connections and communities, and where appropriate, work with Rangers to support London National Park City with campaigns and activities.
• Lead on the recruitment and appointment of new Rangers, including evolving and improving our induction and ongoing training offer.
• Share Ranger stories and support the development of media assets to promote the Rangers and their work.
• Manage the Ranger programme budget and allocation of spending.
• As funding allows, and with the support of the Executive Director, recruit and manage local Ranger coordinators.

You will report directly to the Executive Director and work closely with your colleagues in our staff team and with our wider group of volunteers.

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced, ambitious and dedicated colleague who will be able to appropriately prioritise as we secure additional funding and steadily expand our small staff team.

• Experience in an equivalent community management, membership or partnership, or demonstrable experience of transferable skills.
• Demonstrable experience of movement and community building both on and offline, with strong digital skills and a strong affinity of the role of participatory membership.
• An ability to communicate, present to, and coordinate with a wide range of people at all levels of a variety of organisations.
• Excellent oral and written communication in a clear, concise, accessible and effective manner.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload within deadlines, and to set and meet high standards of delivery.

This is a permanent role and the salary range is £45,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience. We are open to applications for part-time or other flexible working arrangements.
