Delivery and line management
- To assist in the delivery of practical dance and performance skills classes as and when required.
- To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), mentoring and confidence building

We are looking for a thoughtful, relational and data savvy Individual Giving and Philanthropy Lead to strengthen and grow our community of supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to take ownership of a key income stream, shape strategy and bring creativity and care to supporter relationships.

Main Responsibilities:
Working with the CEO, trustees corporate partnerships and communications team, your main responsibilities will be:
- Individual Giving and Donors: develop, manage, monitor and improve the individual giving fundriasing portfolio - with the initial aim of generating in excess of £250,000 per annum from individual giving.

What we are looking for
We're looking for an experienced and ideas-driven Individual Giving Fundraiser to join our dynamic, warm and dedicated team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new Arts for Dementia individual giving strategy. You will lead on campaigns and develop / deliver Arts for Dementia’s supporter engagement journey to develop strong and long-lasting supporter relationships. The role will actively contribute to Arts for Dementia’s overall fundraising strategy and income generation.
Main purpose of job
To support the Fundraising Manager to reach our income targets, with a focus on individual giving.
- Part time: 21 hours per week, working flexibly
- Salary: £35-37k (pro-rata’d)
- Reporting to: Fundraising Manager
- Location: Hybrid. Mainly home-based with one day in London per week. Occasional evenings or weekend days in London for events and activities.
Key responsibilities:
Donor acquisition
· Initiate and deliver acquisition strategies to attract new individual donors.
· Identify target audiences, test new channels and messages to drive supporter growth.
Campaign management
· Plan, deliver, and evaluate multi-channel fundraising campaigns (e.g., email, direct mail, social media).
· Collaborate with communications manager to create compelling donor appeals.
· Track, evaluate, and report campaign performance.
Donor stewardship & retention
· Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors, ensuring timely and personalised communication.

Data management & reporting
· Maintain accurate donor records and manage donor Donorfy.

Skills, knowledge and experience:
Essential
· Previous experience in an individual giving role, with good working knowledge of fundraising best practice
· Demonstrable success in growing income through regular giving
· Experience developing and delivering fundraising campaigns and communications across a range of channels
· Experience working with fundraising databases or CRMs (we use Donorfy)
· Knowledge of the ethics and legislation relating to fundraising and GDPR

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and dedicated Compliance, Risk, and Audit team. The team compromises a Director, Head of Service, and 3 experienced officers, with this role completing the team as the 4th officer. Although the team is small in size, they deliver work of significant depth, strategic importance, and exceptional quality across SIG. They play a vital role in supporting SIG's strategic direction through its commitment to high standards of Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement.
As we have an increasing focus on integrated safety and assurance framework, this role contributes to maintaining a safe and transparent working environment, to help protect and empower staff, residents, and participants, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will drive professional and effective compliance, risk, audit and safety standards, policies, and processes which embed systems which can be used to develop a safe and inclusive environment for all. You will deliver support in data protection, health and embed frameworks throughout SIG which are in line with regulatory and legislative change.
- Review reported AINMs and Safeguarding alerts and work collaboratively with teams to implement effective remedial actions, supporting future mitigation
- Conduct regular service visits and team meetings, focusing on safety reviews, training, and provide practical, informed guidance during these engagements
- Manage data and analyse trends, creating high quality reports, which are clear and readable
- Facilitate and support organisational complaints processes to ensure adherence to policy, timescale, and best practice
- Investigate and lead on whistleblowing concerns and assist the audit and compliance team, champions, Managers, P&C and other relevant teams in acting appropriately on concerns raised and protecting the whistleblower
About you
- Previous experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
- Previous experience in governance systems and structures which could include auditing, risk management, investigations, and report writing
- Previous experience in managing quality standards
- Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. Branch network and member support
- Work with the CEO to develop the SLA Branch Network and accompanying strategies

To be successful in this role you should ideally be able to demonstrate:

About the School Library Association
The School Library Association (SLA) is an independent charity and membership organisation that believes every pupil is entitled to effective school library provision. The SLA supports all those working in school libraries. We have been representing the school library sector for more than eighty-five years, with membership to the Association thought of as essential to all those who work in and around school libraries. Membership to the SLA provides training, support in advocating with senior leadership teams, incredible discounts and collegiate networking opportunities for everybody working in and with school libraries.
