What the job offers 

This is an exciting new post at our charity to take forward our Strategy to expand our service support and reach more people in need.  You’ll be responsible for recruiting and on-boarding a diverse team of volunteers who contribute to SLT’s programmes. Overview:

The impacts of climate change on our food system are escalating, affecting food prices and production and food and farming are themselves a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. ECIU has generated multiple analyses of these issues over the past few years which have been used by a broad range of stakeholders and covered extensively by the media.

We are now seeking to grow our team in this space. These roles are an exciting opportunity to combine your analytical and communication skills to generate reports and commentary that expands the evidence base while grabbing the attention of a range of stakeholders including journalists. Your work will help to ensure a better informed debate on the interactions between food, farming and climate change, covering emissions, resilience and adaptation to, for example, climate-induced food price shocks. 

The work will include different types of foods, different farming from livestock to arable and both UK and international agriculture. You will be liaising with expert stakeholder groups and academics. Health will be a key theme in the work. The postholders will communicate findings to stakeholders including journalists and MPs.

You will manage your own programme of work, supported by a wider team of analytical and communication experts.

The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) is a non-profit organisation that supports informed debate on energy and climate change issues in the UK. We provide independent analysis and accessible briefings to the media and other stakeholders to improve understanding of climate-related topics and contribute to evidence-based discussions. Our work covers a range of issues including land use, transport, the power sector, and heating and buildings, with a focus on the UK but with international work too.

This is a unique opportunity to inform the debate on one of the most pressing and less explored areas of climate change.

Role and responsibilities:

·Analyse how climate change is affecting UK food and farming and vice versa, using various sources and data; present findings clearly in reports, briefings, press releases and social media content.

·Monitor and analyse emerging political and media debate around climate change and UK food and farming, including misinformation.

·Provide fast turnaround analysis of breaking developments, synthesising findings into accessible and impactful outputs for media and other stakeholders.

·Stay updated on climate and energy policy, particularly how it relates to the UK’s food system.

·Manage your own programme of work, including strategic planning around key moments, identifying risks and opportunities to support well informed discussion and working to effectively inform coverage of these topics.

·Collaborate with colleagues across programmes to develop joined up, multi-channel communications outputs.

A Rocha UK is a unique Christian nature conservation charity, mobilising Christians and churches to care for the natural world. Purpose of role: 

Increasing and diversifying the sources of funding for A Rocha UK’s work is key to our fundraising strategy. The Grants and Legacies Manager will play a key role identifying potential granting bodies, writing and submitting bids, and managing reporting on grants from a range of sources, including  large foundations, and Church denominations.  In doing so, they will work closely with other staff, especially the CEO, programme staff, and other members of the fundraising team. They will also manage occasional legacies and, as capacity allows, develop a proactive legacy promotion programme. The successful candidate will have previous experience securing funds from trusts, as well as excellent writing skills, an interest in the environment and an active Christian faith. About the Role

We are a hardworking organisation, seeking to promote the positive contributions and achievements of young people through the grants we make and the programmes that we run.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organised, enthusiastic and efficient person to join us to provide effective administrative and database support for the organisation and to help to ensure the smooth running of JPF’s grants programmes. The post holder will be a member of the Operations Team and will be required to work closely with colleagues across the Foundation.

Purpose of Job

To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Operations Team at the Foundation, with a focus on maintaining accurate records, coordinating administrative processes and database management, supporting financial operations, and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
This role is essential to the delivery of the Achievement Award Scheme and other JPF grants and programmes.

Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Operations and Database Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team.

The primary duties are:

1. Administrative support for JPF’s Achievement Award Scheme and other associated grant programmes
1.1 Support the Operations Officer to prepare and send Achievement Award (AA) materials to all new joiners and organise the general AA mailouts twice a year.
1.2 Manage the JPF general email accounts ensuring that all emails/correspondence are forwarded to the relevant staff member.

2. Database and information management
2.1 Maintain accurate records on JPF systems, particularly the Salesforce database.
2.2 Support the Operations Officer to run periodic data checks on the database and correct identified errors.
2.3 Generate lists and reports from Salesforce, as required, deleting those that are no longer required.
2.4 Assist the Operations Officer with other database tasks e.g. setting up and amending other grant processes in our database such as online application forms, report forms, requirements from grantees, amending email templates, setting up automations, etc.
2.5 Support Head of Operations with maintaining up-to-date organisational policies and procedures.
 

3. Finance and payment support
3.1 Process weekly payments under the guidance of the Finance and Operations Manager.
3.2 Reconcile company credit cards for senior management approval.
3.3 Ensure that bank details for organisations are correct within Salesforce.
3.4 Respond to general finance enquiries and support the Grants Officers recording returned payments accurately.

4. Programme administration
4.1 Assist in the administration of the Internship Programme, other partnerships, IGFV or Open Grants programmes as required.
4.2 Ensure accurate records of all grant applications and reports for all programmes.
4.3 Lead the coordination and distribution of partner programme materials to JPF partners ahead of the academic year.
4.4 Maintain stock control of all JPF AA materials, advising the Finance and Operations Manager when stock requires replenishment.

5. General IT and administrative duties
5.1 Liaise with JPF’s IT providers to ensure seamless IT support for staff and onboarding/offboarding processes.
5.2 Maintain sufficient office cover and manage staff attendance using the Microsoft Teams calendar.
5.3 Distribute daily post and manage general incoming communications efficiently and update contact information in Salesforce.
5.4 Maintain a tidy and well-functioning office environment, including shared spaces and meeting spaces.
5.5 Organise refreshments and ensure room set-up, including technology requirements, for meetings and events as required.
5.6 Arrange for staff photos to be updated on the staff noticeboard and JPF website.
5.7 Complete stationery orders and ensuring that supplies are maintained.
5.8 Maintain inventory of AA and LA medallions and coordinate reorders with the Events Team.
5.9 Oversee the circulation of staff birthday cards, collections and staff celebrations where required.

6. HR and onboarding support
6.1 Support recruitment administration and onboarding processes, including office set up for new staff.
6.2 Lead induction and office set up for work experience placements and other volunteers or contractors.
6.3 Maintain the JPF telephone directory, ensuring staff mobile numbers are current and accurate.
6.4 Administer DBS checks for new staff as required.
6.5 Monitor Cyber Security Training completion and report non-compliance.
6.6 Purchase the weekly supply of fruit, milk, coffee, tea and other supplies for the JPF kitchen.

7. Other Responsibilities
7.1 Attend and actively contribute to Operations and wider JPF Team meetings.
7.2 Provide telephone and email support to enquirers on JPF funding streams.
7.3 Adhere to the Foundation’s policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Data Protection, and Publicity Consent.
7.4 Provide cover for reception as required.

Project Overview

The Inspiration Academy will support Years 6-8 to engage with education, strengthen attainment and wellbeing, develop leadership skills, and build a sense of belonging. It is part of a new Belonging Partnership which represents a unique opportunity over 3 years to make a difference to young people during one of the most challenging periods of their lives. The partnership will enable us to track progress and share practice, with multiple perspectives available to assess how young people have benefited, including teachers and parents/carers. We know how rare such opportunities are and we are therefore hugely excited about it.

DreamArts’ contribution to the partnership is the Inspiration Academy, designed to reach 150 pupils in 5 primary schools annually. Of these, 30 young people identified as at-risk of disengagement receive tailored group-based support as they transition to Pimlico Academy.  

Year 6 students from partner primaries will choose and explore a meaningful issue and lead a creative campaign for their school community. Those at risk of disengagement will work alongside peers, taking on positive roles that reshape their self-perception.

A week-long summer intensive will equip at-risk students with a ‘toolkit’ to navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges of secondary school. Once at Pimlico Academy, they’ll train as Inspiration Ambassadors, delivering workshops to future cohorts.

Additionally, Family Express will provide parents/carers with a creative space to explore challenges alongside their children and other families, strengthening relationships and resilience. Through these opportunities, young people will be supported to build a sense of belonging within their schools and within their wider community.

Responsibilities

The Project Therapist will work alongside the Project Lead and provide a group-based creative therapeutic approach to the planning and co-delivery of the Inspiration Academy. You will help identify mental health and educational needs and co-develop strategies for reducing barriers to participation so that young people can:

· Explore who they are

· Build positive relationships with peers and adults

· Improve their sense of belonging within their school community

WHA is an international NGO, representing over 400 civil society and patient organisation members in over 120 countries. We are committed to eliminating viral hepatitis, a devastating disease that affects more than 300 million people and is now the second most deadly infectious disease in the world.

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead WHA’s delivery of the SAFEStart+ project. Focused on accelerating the elimination of mother-to-child transmission (EVT) of HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, and Chagas disease in endemic areas. The project will focus on demand generation, adoption and scale-up of innovative EVT programmes through strong community and stakeholder leadership. It will do this in part, through understanding the values and preferences of stakeholders, addressing barriers around awareness and stigma and discrimination, providing training to both community groups and health care workers and undertaking community led monitoring. These community led-activities will run alongside work in countries to strengthen health systems and supply chains and address gaps in product access.

The duties and key responsibilities of the Community Implementation Manager include:

• Plan and coordinate WHA activities related to the project to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time and funding parameters.
• Manage community implementation partners within project countries, working closely with them to develop advocacy and awareness strategies, implement community-based research , monitor budgets in line with approved policies and measure impact.
• Support the coordination of global and country community advisory boards.
• Be the main point of contact for all project partners, fostering positive working relationships to ensure effective coordination throughout the projects’ lifecycle.
• Support capacity building efforts for community groups and health care workers in project countries.
• Work with teams across WHA, including communications and advocacy, to ensure the project outcomes are being appropriately disseminated.
• Coordinate all internal and external reporting related to the project.

There will be the opportunity for occasional international travel as part of this role.

About you

We are looking for an experienced project manager with the below skills and experience.

Desired experience

• Proven track record of delivering complex community-led projects across multiple countries or locations.
• Considerable experience in project management.
• Experience in working with community groups and with people and organisations from different cultures.
• Strong understanding of community and global health, with experience in HIV and/or maternal and child health highly desirable.
• Familiarity with a range of demand generation and awareness raising strategies.
• Experience of community-led monitoring and community-based research.
• Fluent in Spanish (desired but not essential).

Last year we launched an exciting partnership with Nike’s Social and Community Impact team. As a Youth Practitioner, you will help us to scale our Schools Programme. You’ll deliver our programmes across schools in East London, aiming to engage more young people in movement and running.

The Role

We are looking for a Youth Practitioner to work alongside the Youth Programme Team to develop and deliver our Nike funded Schools Programme targeted at Year 7 and 8 young people (age 11-13) across East London. 

We’re seeking someone caring, ambitious and keen to learn who loves working with young people. You will have a strong moral compass and a proven commitment to really make a difference to young people’s lives. 

You will be highly motivated, with high standards for yourself and others, as well as having a good understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by young people living in East London.

You will have lots of energy and enthusiasm, and enjoy movement. You will be a natural people-person with a high level of empathy, able to make people feel valued, respected and heard. 

Main Duties:

• Deliver fun and engaging Outrunners sessions at our partner schools to young people aged 11-13, alongside PE teachers. 

• Manage relationships with partner teachers and SLT at our partner schools.

• Work with the Youth Programme Manager and other Youth Practitioners to design and deliver holistic movement programmes with a focus on running, targeted at 8-18 year olds. 

• Ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld for all young people. 

• Undertake administration tasks such as ensuring evaluation forms are completed, uploading data to our CRM system and planning sessions.

• Complete any other business required by management and pitch in to help with other tasks at busy times during the year.

This job is for you if: 

• You have experience of working with young people and their families 

• You have experience delivering youth programmes targeted at young people with proven successful outputs

• You have relevant youth work experience or a relatable youth work qualification (please note - a youth work qualification is only a desirable criteria) 

• You can develop strong working relationships with colleagues and teachers within schools

• You have a working understanding of safeguarding children and young people and how to maintain appropriate professional boundaries

• You have a commitment to, and working understanding of, equality and diversity, with the ability to work in culturally diverse communities, as well as a readiness to challenge discriminatory behaviour

• You have excellent communication, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
