MediCinema is a leading and growing UK charity with a mission to improve the wellbeing of patients, their families and carers through the magic of the shared cinema experience. We do this by building and running fully installed, high specification cinemas in hospitals, bringing the magic of the silver screen to patients young and old, for free.

With seven hospitals so far and another two coming on board in the coming years, we are on our way to achieving our ambitious goal to establish a MediCinema in every NHS region across the UK.   

Our work makes a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of people experiencing some of their most challenging times.  We are now looking for a passionate and driven individual to join us as the Head of High Value and play a key role in the continued success of our mission and delivery of our aspirational growth plans.

As the Head of High Value Relationships, you will lead and oversee the strategic development and growth of our high-value fundraising programme. You will be responsible for cultivating and securing philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, and businesses, helping to ensure that MediCinema can continue to provide its vital services and reach many more hospital partners across the UK.  You will work closely with the Director of Development and colleagues across MediCinema, as well as with key stakeholders such as our Trustees, to create tailored fundraising strategies, and build and sustain long-term relationships with high-net-worth donors and partners.  Through the creation of a Fundraising board, a Donor Circle and development of a structured giving programme, you will help us to attract and engage donors in our long-term vision. 

You will bring a demonstrable track record in major gifts fundraising, ideally at the 5 and 6-figure level, and delivering successful income generating activities. The role

The Legacy and In Memory Manager is responsible for developing and delivering plans to maximise gifts in wills and in memory giving, ensuring a sustainable income stream for the charity whilst providing exceptional levels of supporter care. This role will oversee the administration of legacies, drive the growth of the charity's Free Wills programme, steward legacy pledgers, and expand in memory fundraising.

The Legacy and In Memory Manager will also ensure supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are at the heart of the charity's programme, working with the Individual Giving and Development Lead to create impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.

You will play an important part in raising awareness of the importance of wills to a wider audience.

About You

As a Legacy and In Memory Manager we would love you to have experience of the following
-Proven experience in legacy and/or in memory fundraising within the charity sector.

- Good understanding of charity legacy administration, probate law, and regulatory
requirements.

-Experience in developing and delivering fundraising plans with measurable outcomes.

-Experience in line management, with the ability to support and develop a team effectively.

This role is Hybrid with some homeworking available and time spent in the Head Office near Telford. There will be some travel across the regions and to the Head Office for meetings. The Direct Marketing Manager (Retention) is responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for  individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the organisation and the public. They will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising and relevant staff to develop and deliver direct marketing materials to provide updates and information on how donations are being spent. They will work with the Public Fundraising team to utilise a large database of supporters for communication by email, SMS, and direct mail. They will also oversee and support the delivery of materials that support community fundraising in appeals and a light touch legacy marketing programme.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition. They are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable experience of direct marketing techniques such as direct mail, email and SMS. They are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth in income and retention of a charity’s individual supporters. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of direct marketing initiatives that have successfully met targets at retaining or reactivating donors and experience of working within the international sector.

The Project Manager (Sport) will lead on developing projects which increase and diversify the sports-based enrichment opportunities available for young people completing their DofE sectional activities.

**The geographical allowance is based on a member of staff having a home or office-based postcode within 30 miles (as the crow flies) from Charing Cross, WC2N 5HS. The allowance is 7% capped at £4,000 per annum.

The Head of IT Support is responsible for UNISON’s entire technology infrastructure, and provision of systems and services to all our staff, members and lay officers.

High-quality customer service to all our users is central to this role. To this end, you will ensure UNISON’s IT infrastructure is reliable and secure; that systems are modern and effective; and that we embrace innovation, taking advantage of new developments to further the union’s objectives.

The Head of IT Support controls a substantial budget (£10m), and needs to balance providing the best technological solutions for UNISON while ensuring members’ money is spent wisely for their benefit.

A team of in-house IT management and support staff will report to you. You will also manage our IT Managed Service provider, and direct relationships with suppliers of other IT services.

At Toc H Newport, we offer co-produced activities, outreach services and practical support to some of the most disadvantaged individuals and families in the area, reaching over 600 individuals in 2024.Our vision is of a neighbourhood where everyone has the strong community life, emotional wellbeing and socioeconomic opportunities needed to flourish.

Our centre for service delivery is the Toc H Community Centre in Eveswell, Newport, where our offer includes our popular Stay and Play sessions for low-income families, and children’s after-school club Active Juniors. Our activities and services are incredibly popular, and we hold longstanding partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders. 

It is an exciting period of growth for Toc H Newport, with a number of new funding streams making it possible for us to reach many more families in need across Newport in 2025 and beyond. This includes a £300,000 grant from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Community Ownership Fund, allowing us to soon complete a full structural and interior renovation of our facilities.  Following a Community Asset Transfer, our space will soon triple in size, meaning we can offer more activities and services to more local people. The ideal candidate will bring experience in administration or project support, ideally in the non-profit or media development sector. You will have experience with financial processes and budget management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and cloud-based collaboration tools is essential, as is a proactive, problem-solving mindset. To thrive in this role, you need to be a confident communicator with strong organisational skills, and you will be comfortable managing competing priorities and collaborating with teams across time zones.

Contract: Permanent
Location: Based at head office (Aylesbury, Bucks)
Hours: Full-time, i.e. five days (35 hours) per week. Job-share also considered

We are looking for someone to join our Fundraising Team to deliver our supporter care programme and be the first port of call for all enquiries and donations. Applicants will be warm and engaging and committed to developing relationships with the Charity’s supporters, most of whom have been directly affected by lymphoma. You will have a strong eye for detail as well as excellent writing ability to convey sensitively the impact of donations in thank you letters. This is the perfect role for someone who has:

• Experience of working in an administrative or customer service role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks
• Excellent IT and digital skills and the willingness to use different online platforms, software and databases
