We're looking for a Head of Net Zero Carbon Fundraising to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract
The Net Zero Carbon programme has been established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030.
All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this Net Zero plan. The Giving Directorate is working alongside the core Programme Team to leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure the funds needed and distribute grant funding to leverage further fundraising.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract
You will be expected to travel to Church House, Westminster 1-2 times a month

We now have an opportunity for a remote Employment Advisor to join the STEP Online team. About you

- Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector

About you
As the Service Manager for our night shelter service, you’ll be at the heart of Glass Door’s mission, delivering the largest network of night shelters in the UK. What you will do as part of our team
The Service Manager is responsible for the following:
Service delivery
· Lead all aspects of the planning, preparation, and delivery of the night shelter service.
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, directly engaging with staff and guests to ensure high-quality service delivery.
· Ensure operational policies are consistently followed, providing guests with a reliable and uniform service experience.
· Manage the rota across three night shelters to maintain adequate staffing at all times.
· Manage a fleet of three vehicles used for the night shelters, ensuring their availability and maintenance.
· Ensure all staff are fully aware of service provisions, requirements, and expectations.
· Lead the continuous improvement of the shelter service to better meet guest needs.
· Ensure due diligence is performed, and that reporting and records are accurately maintained.
· Collaborate with the Head of Operations & Service Development to keep expenditures and income within agreed budget limits.
· Liaise with casework colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration between night shelter and casework staff.

· Conduct and maintain annual general and fire risk assessments for each shelter venue; actively maintain the service-level risk register and contribute to organisational risk register.
· Promptly raise concerns and safeguarding issues in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
· Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date with annual reviews, and provide staff with training and guidance on compliance and best practices.
Management
· Manage and supervise a seasonal staff team of approximately 40 individuals.
· Oversee the full employee lifecycle management, including: recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
· Lead the recruitment and training of seasonal shelter staff.
· Provide high-quality support and line management to night shelter staff, delivering clear guidance, support, and effective leadership.
· Ensure excellent performance management, support, and supervision of Night Shelter Managers and staff, including monitoring annual leave and addressing performance issues in line with Glass Door’s policies.
· Empower seasonal managers to deliver high-quality, safe support and effective guest management in accordance with Glass Door policies and procedures.
· Regularly monitor the quality of support and service by conducting site visits to the night shelters.
· Organise and deliver a comprehensive training programme for shelter staff.
· Facilitate regular supervision and team meetings to promote effective teamwork and communication.
· Ensure the In-form system is utilised efficiently by shelter staff, with timely updates to reports, and prompt, accurate record-keeping.

· Play a lead role in the annual planning of the night shelter service and contribute to the annual services business plan.

As its event programme grows in number and variety, Ripon Cathedral is looking for a practical, enthusiastic and organised part-time Event Co-ordinator to work in our events team.
This role will ensure the booking, co-ordination and running of our events is well-planned, smooth and provides great customer service. Commercial events are central to our income-generation and we want to provide an engaging and diverse experience for audiences. We are looking for someone with proven experience of events, a real empathy for the work of the cathedral, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to organise, plan and help events to happen – from supporting marketing to events set up and front of house.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Major Gifts and Partnerships, you will develop and deliver the major donor strategy.

Research, produce and implement an influencer programme that drives the performance of the income generating team.
Be responsible for managing planning and managing HNW events in line with the Major Gifts strategy.
Provide the high quality account management and stewardship, enhancing mutual benefits, maximising income generating opportunities and creating enduring partnerships
Research, develop and introduce new income generating products for HNWI's whilst driving the performance of existing products. Eg, The Patrons Circle, The Big Ball etc.
There is no line management responsibility.
The Candidate
Ability to manage high profile people and accounts and act with due diligence and a high degree of professionalism.
Proven ability to research and analyse potential new VIPs and donors and plan and implement acquisition strategies.
Ability and experience to plan a broad range of complex activities and programmes with significant attention to detail.
Have access to own transport to travel to events, meetings, etc

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Latin Link is looking for a natural storyteller with an active Christian faith to inspire and engage the church across Britain and Ireland to step into the story of God’s global mission. You will plan, develop and deliver an innovative communications programme across digital and print media. You will love creating video content, writing, and thrive on sharing the stories of a wide variety of people.
It is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a Christian. You should be comfortable working in an interdenominational Christian organisation and in agreement with Latin Link’s Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage our social media channels, creating engaging content and developing a strategy for their effective use
- Manage and develop the Latin Link Britain and Ireland website
- Create strong, effective materials for all aspects of marketing communication, including videos, leaflets, display materials, online promotions and email campaigns
- Develop the visual identity of the Latin Link
- Write, edit and project manage the production and distribution of Latinfile, our annual magazine, and our Annual Report
- Work collaboratively across the organisation on projects involving mobilisation, fundraising and communications
- Communicate regularly with current members and teams to ensure a steady supply of stories, photos and video for wider communication
- Coordinate ePrayer, our fortnightly prayer email, and eNews, our monthly church leader email
- Set and manage the communications budget

WORK SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Experience of using social media to inspire and engage
- Experience of developing digital content (graphics and video) using Adobe suite (or equivalent) for a digital audience
- Ability to draw out stories in conversation with others and transform them into engaging written content
- Ability to apply biblical themes in communication in order to mobilise the church for global mission
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise a varied and busy workload
Desirable
- Experience of working for a charity, mission agency or church

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Communications Manager will report to the Leadership Team. Latin Link seeks to ensure that every member of our team has opportunities for developing and learning new skills relevant to their work.
TIME COMMITMENT AND FLEXIBILITY
We see this as essentially a full-time role, but we are open to a variety of flexible working arrangements to help the right person achieve a good work/life balance. The expectation is that the Communications Manager will be in the Reading office at least one day a week, with the flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.
SALARY
The full-time salary for this role will be £28,500 per annum. All salaries are reviewed on an annual basis with any increase made from 1st April.
The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period, after which there is three months’ written notice period for both parties. Holiday entitlement for full time staff is 28 working days per year including all bank and public holidays. In addition to this we usually close for the period between Christmas Day and New Year.

London Borough of Westminster
This is an exciting opportunity in the Westminster Outreach and Befriending Service for a Family and Volunteer Support Worker to deliver family support and volunteer peer service to families and children under the age of 5, new parents and their families, across the London Borough of Westminster.
This service provides a programme of support for pregnant women and parents/carers which includes face-to-face befriending in the home and community as well as support by phone and video. The aim of the programme is to increase the resilience and emotional wellbeing of parents who are experiencing isolation and require emotional/practical support.
The Family and Volunteer Support Worker will work closely with the Team Leader and volunteers as well as the wider Westminster Outreach Service. The team works closely in partnership with Children’s Centres/Family Hubs, midwifery, health teams and mental health services. You must be able and willing to travel regularly around London Borough of Westminster.
