About the role:
Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role.
As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. Position Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of related work experience in major gifts fundraising or in the field of marketing and communications, preferably at a non-profit advocacy organisation.
- A proven track record of bringing in major donations of six-figure sums.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.
- A practical understanding of fundraising, GDPR and charity regulation.
- Knowledge of and proven ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable presenting professionally.
- A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a team-oriented work environment.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary band £37,000-£40,000, depending on experience. This is a remote working opportunity (UK-based candidates only).

The Role
You will provide strategic oversight and direction for the institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets and line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target.
Provide the prime bid writing function for institutional funders and Trusts and Foundations.
Work closely with the programmes team, both in the UK and overseas to provide leadership of high-quality bid production.
Research new possible funding opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of potential opportunties.
Manage relationships with key funders and be the lead contact for trust and institutional funders.
Keep up to date with the latest trends in institutional, statutory and trust fundraising.
The Candidate
A natural relationship based fundraiser able to build strong working relationships with inteternal and external stakeholders.
Strong experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,000+
Substantial experience interpreting and translating material into compelling content for successful proposals.
Demonstrable strong project and account management abilities.
Confident in the development of budgets to meet proposal requirements.
Strong problem solving ability and confidence to bring in new ideas and drive them forward
Experience of writing and communicating for different mediums and channels and applying writing and branding requirements to reports and documents.

You’ll refine our proposition and pricing of existing services, seeking opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing audiences, as well as broadening our reach, engaging with completely new audiences and developing and shaping new commercial services aligned to new customer needs. You will have strong experience at senior level in driving commercial impact for good, and everything this involves in terms of income, growth, commercial strategy and delivery, and risk management. Taking an insight-led approach, and working closely with our Senior IG & Supporter Engagement Officer (Acquisition), you’ll ensure new members and donors have an exceptional onboarding journey, as well as ongoing stewardship. You’ll also work together to plan and deliver annual appeals, collaborating and coordinating with teams across the charity to raise significant unrestricted income.
You’ll nurture relationships with our legacy pledgers, in-memory and mid-value donors, both reactively and at key moments throughout the year. And in the longer term, you’ll continue developing and marketing our legacy offering.
