We are looking for an individual with a passion for international education and cultural exchange to join the Fulbright Awards team.

You will support with all aspects of the selection process, including coordinating the receipt of applications, reading and evaluating applications, organising peer review reading panels and interview panels and preparing interview materials. You will be first point of contact for all UK awards enquiries.

You will be involved with organising the logistics and execution of key Fulbright Programme events for UK grant recipients throughout the year, liaising with external organisations to arrange venue space, catering and accommodation and travel to Fulbright events. 

You will have a strong interest and/or personal experience in international education or cultural exchange and a willingness to learn. We are seeking a dynamic and driven fundraiser to be our Trusts and Foundations Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.

Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. Trusts and foundations income currently accounts for c.37% of our fundraising, and we know there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the grant-making world for building strategic partnerships with us.

Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure Trust, Foundation and Statutory support. There is significant opportunity to build mid-level income (£50k-£100k) from family and organisational trusts/foundations, in which the Manager will play a pivotal role, as well as completing a deep dive into the team’s extensive prospect pipeline.

The Role and Team

As Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will be an experienced, proactive relationship manager and fundraiser. You will be confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking, along with securing and stewarding funding relationships with a wide variety of Trusts, Foundations, Statutory and organisational donors. With an entrepreneurial mindset for income generation, the postholder will be able to confidently manage competing demands to balance securing new funding and delivering high quality stewardship and grant management to a portfolio of current and prospective supporters.

The role will manage a growing portfolio of mid-level Trusts, Foundations, and organisational donors (predominantly £50k-£100k), while also providing strategic support on grant management of our major Trust and Foundation partners. This will include compiling key reports and support of gathering and analysing programmatic data.

The role sits in the Trusts and Foundations team of the Development Department and is managed by the Head of Trusts and Foundations. All team members work on both new business and grant/account management, with ambitious individual income targets. You will work closely with colleagues across both the Development Department and the wider organisation.

Main duties

New Business

• Undertake prospect research into trusts and foundations, statutory opportunities (contracts or grants) and organisational funders in collaboration with the Head of Trusts and Foundations, and other senior staff and senior volunteers. This includes identification, due diligence, qualification, and creating briefings and outreach plans.
• Work with the Head of Trusts and Foundations to cultivate a prospect pool of potential donors, looking at lapsed supporters, the prospect pipeline, stakeholder network mapping through the Board and Trustees, as well as funders with an active interest in education / social mobility.
• Submit compelling funding proposals and reports to mid-level trusts, foundations, statutory and organisational donors to secure income (predominately £50k - £100k) for the Trust. Work alongside other Development team and wider organisation members to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Alongside team members, manage the shared Development inbox to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a prompt, consistent, and friendly manner.
• Follow all relevant policies and processes to ensure due diligence is completed for prospective donors and account management plans are kept up to date.

Account Management and Development

• Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level trusts, foundations, statutory supporters and organisational donors, delivering impactful stewardship (e.g. impact reporting) while meeting all donor reporting requirements to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.
• Support senior team members on strategic management of our major trust and foundation partners, including leading on compiling key impact reports, coordinating meetings, attending programme visits, event invites, writing targeted donor communications and reporting.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising Operations to compile and analyse key programmatic data for use by the Development team in their grant reporting.
• Be accountable for achieving agreed trusts and foundations income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify income for this stream.
• Ensure all record keeping and administration relating to trusts and foundations income is maintained, up-to-date, and processed in accordance with GDPR and Sutton Trust policies and procedures.

Fundraising Finance and Reporting

• Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences, delivering presentations and providing expertise as required.
• Work with colleagues to deliver impactful events to cultivate prospects and steward partners, with a focus on experience for trust and foundation supporters and prospects.
• Work with colleagues across Development and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, income tracking and reporting for trusts and foundations income, through the Trust’s CRM (Salesforce), account management plans, and all relevant income pipeline documents.
• Ensure you appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.
• Stay up to date with grant fundraising best practice, learning from senior members of the team, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.
• Other duties as necessary from time to time.

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have:

• Experience in successfully securing, managing, and developing Trust, Foundation, Statutory or organisational donor partnerships at five figures or above, from initial prospect research to securing income and ongoing grant management.
• Experience building and managing relationships, particularly in the philanthropic sector with organisational donors.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to write compelling proposals and impact reports, or pitch to audiences with the intent of persuading them to your point of view or secure a specific outcome.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to summarise information from readily available sources clearly and concisely.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and tasks to successfully achieve project or other goals.
• Excellent prospect research skills and strong analytical skills.
• First-class interpersonal skills - a natural ambassador able to represent the Sutton Trust with confidence in a range of settings.
• Knowledge of fundraising in the education and/or not-for-profit sector.
• Experience using CRM software (ideally Salesforce) to accurately record funding relationships (desirable).

And someone who is:

• Sympathetic to the aims of the Trust and its mission to address educational disadvantage and increase social mobility.
• Able to take the initiative and take responsibility for a wide variety of tasks and projects.
• Strong communicator, skilled at persuading others through writing and conversation.

Terms of Appointment

• Contract: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: £43,000-£48,000
• Working location: Minimum of two office days per week. Our home working policy gives staff the option to - work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.

• Lead, manage and deliver the programme for people aged 55+ in Gospel Oak and the surrounding areas.

• Line-manage sessional and part-time staff, overseeing HR, payroll and supervision.

About The Role

Place2Be is looking for an Education Partnerships Manager to lead relationships with Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) and key partners, ensuring high-quality mental health services across schools. Acting as the main liaison, you’ll oversee service delivery, monitor performance, analyse impact data, and drive improvements. As the Head of Alumni & Supporter Relations (Programmes & Products), you will lead a team of creative practitioners who are designing programmes and building products that speak to alumni of all ages and stages of their lives and engagement with UCL.  Your team will work closely with the Regions and Faculties teams, to gain insights and feedback and inform future programming and products.  You and your team will also work closely with our fundraisers, developing strategies and tactics to encourage volunteerism, advocacy and philanthropy in support of UCL.

For this role, we are seeking a creative marketing and engagement specialist – someone who has developed strategies to increase engagement across a wide spectrum of constituents.  A higher education / alumni relations background is helpful, however we’d also welcome hearing from specialists from within the membership, brand loyalty and customer experience arenas.

We need a dynamic and proactive PR & Stories Manager to help us drive visibility, affinity, and relevance amongst new and existing audiences. They will work with the PR Lead and the wider team to deliver a public relations strategy in line with Battersea’s strategic objectives in the UK and internationally. This will include using their media and PR expertise to support key strategic partners, such as our Alliance with StreetVet and pet food partnership with FareShare, to devise and deliver PR activity that reaches new audiences and increases support.

A significant part of this role will be overseeing Battersea’s evolving case study function, leading on the development of best practice ways of working and supporting teams across the organisation to tell our story with authentic and meaningful case studies – from animals cared for at our centres, to dedicated individuals improving the lives of dogs and cats and benefiting from Battersea’s services around the world. With both PR activity and case studies having huge value to Battersea, the PR & Stories Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities for ways we can identify a wider range of case studies and determining how we can share these stories with the media and across our owned channels.

Single Homeless Project (SHP) and Islington Council are proud to introduce St. John’s Mansions - a brand-new, purpose-built accommodation service that will provide safe, high-quality housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and facing multiple exclusion. This innovative project is backed by the GLA’s Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP) 2022–2025, and represents a bold step forward in tackling homelessness across North London. SHP are building a dynamic, compassionate, and forward-thinking team to bring this vision to life. 

St. John’s Mansions will offer 19 beautifully finished self-contained studio flats, designed to support residents in their journey from rough sleeping and emergency accommodation to independent living. With a stay of up to 24 months, residents will receive tailored, high-intensity support to help them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive independently. 

The service will operate 24/7, with a welcoming reception and dedicated staff & clients spaces to enable both structured interventions and spontaneous, meaningful engagement. SHP will be working not only within Islington but in partnership with five North London boroughs - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Westminster. This is more than just housing – it is a bridge to a better future. In this role, you’ll lead a team working closely with adults living in our accommodation, building trusting relationships and supporting them to take positive steps towards independence. Each day brings the chance to empower clients to manage their homes, connect with specialist services, and rebuild confidence, purpose and community in their lives.

Summary

The Church of England has recently agreed a significant increase in funding to support God's mission and ministry across the country, supporting local parishes and growing many more new worshipping communities to serve the whole nation. The distributions will also help fund dioceses' plans to serve the nation in various areas such radically cutting the Church's carbon footprint and supporting parishes, cathedrals, and dioceses with using their buildings, to best missional effect whilst ensuring their protection, enhancement, conservation, and appropriate adaptation.

The Net Zero Carbon programme was established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030. The team manages the distribution of a grant portfolio worth £190 million across 2023-33, aimed at supporting and equipping dioceses, parishes and other parts of the Church to reach the milestones set out in the Routemap to Net Zero 2030.

This role will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Net Zero Carbon Programme's grant streams, supporting it in delivering a consistent and responsive service to grantees.

The purpose of this role is to provide a responsive service as operational officer for the grant schemes under the Churches Workstream in the Net Zero Carbon Programme:

• Currently the Demonstrator Churches Grant Fund and the Boiler Replacement Hardship Grant Fund,
• 26-28 Decarbonising Churches Grant Fund

The postholder will be the first point of contact on behalf of the grant giver for new applicants and existing grantees under the grant schemes, handling a busy caseload from pre-application contact through to completion. This will involve all aspects of grant service delivery including assessment, issuing of offers and rejections, monitoring, payments, quality assurance and evaluation within the governance and decision-making framework in place for the grant schemes. The postholder will work under the supervision of the Demonstrator Churches Grants Manager and the Decarbonising Churches Lead, who will provide overall guidance and strategic oversight for the relevant grant funds, and will work closely with the Grants Administrator on operational matters.

The role will report directly to the Net Zero Carbon Programme's Decarbonising Churches Lead.

• This is a Fixed-Term due to end December 2028.
• A hybrid role required to attend the Church House London Office a day a week.

• A salary of £40,572 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
