You’ll be the first point of contact for new volunteers, ensuring every volunteer’s experience is smooth, well supported and rewarding – from registration through to recognition. Key Responsibilities

• Delivering a seamless onboarding experience, handling queries and providing a warm welcome to new volunteers.
• Supporting and training colleagues on volunteering systems and processes.
• Managing our safeguarding and DBS processes for volunteers to keep young people safe.
• Using our Volunteer Management System (Assemble), ensuring communications are logged and accurate reports are available for monitoring and KPIs.
• Creating and maintaining clear documentation, process and guidance documents so colleagues and volunteers have everything they need at their fingertips.
• Recognising volunteer contributions by coordinating our volunteer rewards and recognition activities.
• Writing inspiring news articles and email communications updates on our Volunteering platform.
• Championing the volunteer journey and actively contributing to team goals that ensure volunteers have a positive and consistent experience.

A few practical things:

• This role is hybrid, involving a mixture of working from home and from our Central London office.
• There will be some limited additional requirements to travel for meetings and occasional expectations to work outside of office hours, such as our annual in person Staff Conference and quarterly evening ‘get togethers’ online with volunteers.
• This role is the equivalent of 3 days per week, however we are flexible to accommodate the regular working hours that work for you, between 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Giving our volunteers the best possible experience involves really understanding what they do- so you will be actively encouraged to get stuck in and ‘volunteer’ yourself within our programmes and alongside our volunteers.

The Digital Marketing Officer (social media and website) is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Marketing Team. About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
• Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan. 

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.

This will include:

• Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
• You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave.
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

As a senior member of staff in the organisation you also:

About You

You must have this sort of experience.

• Delivering concrete change in practice or systems that improved children’s lives.
• Leadership experience in the health system. You’ve worked at a senior level in or with health services – potentially in commissioning – and you understand how to navigate and influence within these complex systems.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.

While it’s not a criterion, we are especially interested to hear from applicants who have lived experience of violence affecting young people.

As Senior UN Advocacy Manager, you will join Brooke’s Programmes Directorate at an exciting time as we deliver our five-year strategy. You’ll play a key role in leading our advocacy with UN agencies and UN member states, specifically around the contribution of working animals to sustainable development.

This role will play a leadership role in delivering our ambitious policy influencing programme, helping to shape and implement influencing plans to bring about the changes needed to reduce, prevent and eventually end the need for food banks in the UK.  It will provide management and oversight to some of our strategic projects.

Role responsibilities

· Developing and implementing Trussell’s influencing strategy

Working with teams across the organisation to ensure key groups, including our community of food banks, corporate partners, churches and church-related organisations have a clear role in our policy influencing approach.

· Planning and delivering impactful public affairs activity

Ensuring systems are in place to help plan, monitor and evaluate public affairs activity and maximise opportunities to engage with key audiences, including Parliamentarians, advisers, and UK Government Ministers; and support close working with colleagues in all UK nations and regions.  Managing the development and delivery of public affairs activity to support high profile influencing campaigns.

· Building and managing strong relationships with key external stakeholders

Developing relationships, partnerships and networks to help raise the profile, credibility and influence of Trussell and our policy positions, particularly in the UK Parliament.  Representing Trussell and promoting the organisation’s policy position to key audiences, including in meetings and events with Parliamentarians.

· Developing public affairs support to the food bank community

Working closely with a small team of Network Policy and Research Officers and the Organising and Local Mobilisation team to support our community of food banks to build and maintain strong relationships with their local MPs.  Ensuring public affairs activity is well aligned to campaign strategies involving the food bank network.

· Embedding participatory approaches across our public affairs and wider influencing activity

Supporting further development of a participatory approach to policy influencing to ensure it is rooted in the lived experience of individuals affected by poverty.  This includes ensuring an ethical approach in line with our values.

· Providing advice and line management

Have line management responsibility for individuals within the team, providing pastoral and development guidance along with task management on key projects.  This includes regular 1:1s, objective setting and collaborative monitoring, and support with development needs.

Person Specification

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

· Track record of successfully influencing politicians and key decision-makers to achieve strategic goals at different levels of government.

· Track record of delivering strategic public affairs activity based on robust evidence, from development to evaluation.

· Can explain components of effective policy influencing, including knowledge of the machinery and structure of government (UK, devolved, local) and experience of informing campaigns activity to mobilise support for policy change.

· Demonstrates a good understanding of policies that affect UK poverty and hunger.  Can explain policy motivations of main political parties and can advise on how to influence them most effectively.

About the Role

We are now recruiting for a talented Services Manager to manage a team of project/case workers providing individual advice, specialist support and advocacy to Black and minoritised migrant women, overseeing all aspects of our needs-led casework as well as the delivery of our women’s centre activities, as required.

The post holder will work collaboratively with our Director of Services and Operations (DSO) and other Service Managers in the development of an annual service plan, tailoring this to meet the needs of the team and ensure all funder requirements are met.

This role will provide comprehensive team management and support, effectively managing performance and providing trauma informed mentoring to the team. The Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing referrals to Hibiscus’ services internally and externally, working closely with the teams to ensure prioritisation of Black and racially minoritised women. The postholder will be responsible for responding to service user feedback, complaints and safeguarding concerns using a trauma-informed approach. This will inform the development and improvement of policies and processes for managing service user casework.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that their team maintains accurate data and records to ensure effective service user support, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. As part of this monitoring and evaluation work, the Services Manager will play a key role in improving data recording and reporting. The post holder will be responsible for the financial management of their projects, including service contract budgets and the monitoring of team expenditure. Clear communication and a commitment to professional learning and development are key aspects of this role.

About you

The successful candidate will have significant experience providing casework support to migrant and/or Black and minoritised women with a range of complex needs. They will have line management experience, including effective staff supervision and development, supporting the staff team to effectively deliver team workplans to deadlines and achieve performance targets.

The candidate will have experience maintaining and developing effective working relationships with partner agencies and delivering services in line with funder contracts and contributing to funder reports. Role and Responsibilities

Housing and Service Delivery

• Provide strong and effective support to residents in Acorn House that focuses on their strengths and goals, and is delivered in a personalised way and within a framework of active engagement and co-production

• Developing and reviewing support plans that reflect the interests and aspirations of residents

• Induct new residents in line with the service’s policies and procedures and support them to continue in their journey towards recovery from addiction

• Carry out assessments of those referred to Acorn House, and induct new residents

• Ensure the fundamental needs of residents are met including good quality accommodation and facilities, healthy food, advice and guidance around benefits, and alcohol and drug testing (to help maintain an abstinent environment)

• Deal with the immediate support needs of residents as appropriate, providing crisis intervention where necessary
