About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized organisation and Top 20 Charity is looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full time basis (35 hours per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Essex Care Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Essex Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

They will need to have experience of designing and carrying out research and learning activities with a wide range of partners - including academics, community groups, NGOS and local authorities - in collaborative ways. In the past we have worked on research projects of many scales - from large European Union funded consortia, to smaller, one-off pieces which help a local authority or community organisation move forward with their work. Often our research work involves collaborating with a group of other civil society organisations to provide evidence of why change in the land, food and farming system is needed, and generate action on these issues. 

The main areas of work are to: manage and deliver funded research projects (or projects with a research component) with partners, reflect with colleagues on what we are learning within and across workstreams as an organisation and sector, use this knowledge to create new ideas for research work, and support fundraising for these, as part of our ‘infrastructure’ role.

The role

We are seeking a motivated Development Coordinator to support our ambitious Development team in fundraising for a museums and galleries across the UK. We offer support to 16 customers across two locations: Hope House, a 10-bed supported housing facility, and Doddsfield Road, which has 6 floating support flats.

Hope House provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, following a shift rota system (staff on sleep-ins receive additional pay beyond the advertised salary). Doddsfield Road offers floating support during working hours.

The team consists of one Contract Manager, one Team Leader, and four Support Workers. Staff collaborate closely with the Slough Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT), and a designated Occupational Therapist works alongside the support staff. Customers also attend Hope College, facilitated by the Slough Mental Health Team, as part of their recovery process and preparation for independent living.

This position presents a valuable opportunity for support workers to gain extensive experience in the mental health sector, thanks to the strong partnership with SCMHT. We have also introduced training directly from SCMHT to help support staff better understand mental health diagnoses and manage crises with our customers on-site.

About the Role

As Media Lead you will be responsible for running the charity's busy press office and you will play a central role in shaping how Victim Support is seen and heard in the media. You'll write and deliver a strategic Media Plan that positions the charity as a trusted and recognised victims' voice, increases the profile of our services and contributes to influencing positive change.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage media enquiries, build trusted relationships with journalists and ensure our spokespeople are briefed and supported for interviews. About the role

Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of The Brilliant Club, and this is only set to grow in our next strategy. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building relationships and creating excellent experiences for a portfolio of supporters and prospective supporters, to help us over raise over £1.4 million each year.

Supporters will be mainly Trusts & Foundations, but also some corporates and individuals. The role will include writing applications for funding, renewing existing partnerships and writing compelling funding reports. The Fundraising Officer will also be responsible for tracking the charity’s fundraising using our databases and CRM system, and for our ambassador programme.

The successful candidate will have experience working as part of a fundraising team, or have transferable skills from a similar external-facing role. They will have a proven ability to confidently build relationships with external stakeholders and have excellent written communication skills. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills and experience using a CRM system are also key qualities for this role.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Service based across Newham.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11320 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Newham. However, regular travel will be required as part of this role (will include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 18 hours per week

Salary: Circa £14,100 - per annum (FTE circa £27,435 per annum) (inner London weighting £2,031.42 per annum or outer London weighting £1,170 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

Contract: This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. Our services are contracted we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2026. While continued funding beyond this date cannot be guaranteed, we have maintained regular contracts in this area for many years.’

The Role

We are  looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Newham Team in London. Reporting to Service Delivery Coach.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Organise and facilitate effective service communication for the benefit of stroke survivors and carers in understanding and achieving their goals.
• Ensure that timely, confidential and accurate records are kept on our CRM data base and all data is in line with our retention policy and GDPR compliant.
• Develop and manage service volunteers to support service delivery for stroke survivors and carers as required.

About You

You will have experience in:

• Providing person centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers
• Nurturing emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home
• Effective listening with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face-to-face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls)

Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world dedicated to women (and afab) with Fowler’s Syndrome or Chronic Idiopathic Urinary Retention; a life-changing and poorly understood bladder condition that causes full or partial urinary retention.

The CEO is excited to welcome a proactive, purpose-driven, and resourceful Communications and Engagement Lead to join their small and purposeful team and support the next phase in their journey.

In this multi-faceted role, you will ensure that women affected by Fowler’s Syndrome, clinicians, researchers, and the wider public are intimately connected to the charity’s work.You will enable smoother pathways for women seeking support and for healthcare professionals looking to access educational resource, while also leading on a range of communications activities and awareness campaigns.

You will take responsibility for coordinating and facilitating online patient groups, supporting in-person events, and helping to manage FSUK’s Patient Council. Tasked with overseeing the development of content such as patient resources, you will also advance wider engagement across projects and research programmes and ensure that communications, whether via newsletters, social channels, or the website, reflect the charity’s voice and values.

While having strategic oversight and leading on the management of FSUK’s digital platforms, including their WordPress website and database consisting of patients and supporters, you will also maintain the charity’s fundraising pages. Through managing FSUK’s social platforms, you will at times also interact with the charity’s online community, responding with empathy as you engage and signpost to appropriate services such as the FSUK helpline, ensuring people feel heard, informed, and supported.

Lastly, raising awareness of FSUK will be one strand of the communications output, however the primary focus is to enable stronger connections and deepen engagement and trust with their valued community.

Emotional intelligence and well defined interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having proficient organisational ability and the aptitude to multi-task when working independently within this small, yet fast-moving team.

A background in patient, community, or stakeholder engagement will also be a valuable asset, alongside exposure to working within the health, charity, or research sector. You will have demonstrable experience producing content, alongside a track record of managing digital and social platforms (particularly Instagram).

Lived experience of Fowler’s Syndrome is not essential but would be a welcome bonus!

The postholder will lead and develop the strategy for the charity’s Donor Development and Legacies Programme, being accountable for all communications to warm donors (including regular givers and mid value donors) which focus on building relationships with individual supporters to increase their financial contribution and loyalty.

The Digital Officer will support the Communications team in creating innovative and engaging content and posting to social media channels to tell the story of ParalympicsGB and its athletes. The role will work closely with sports and athletes to facilitate filming opportunities and will assist in the delivery of branded content for commercial partners and key stakeholders.

The Digital Officer will also support programmes of activity which seek to fulfil the organisation’s vision ‘through Sport inspire a better world for disabled people’.

REPORTS TO:Digital Producer

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS OF WORK: Such hours as are necessary to fulfil the duties. This will involve a minimum of 35 hours per week and include work in evenings and weekends as required.

LOCATION: Hybrid of London office and home based.  ParalympicsGB Office: 101 New Cavendish Street, W1W 6XH. Travel may also be required in the UK and abroad as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content creation

Develop and oversee production of content in our brand identity including video, graphics and photography for ParalympicsGB social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).

Plan, shoot, edit, and publish high-quality, platform-specific vertical videos tailored to maximise organic reach and engagement with ParalympicsGB’s priority audiences: Young People, Disabled Community and Potential Allies.

Will also be required to support wider ParalympicsGB staff teams with the production of content for internal use on occasion.

Social Media Management

Assist the Digital Producer with the management of ParalympicsGB social media channels and when needed helping to post and schedule content in our tone of voice.

Contribute to monitoring social media channels for real-time trends and content opportunities to shape the team's narrative and engage with priority audience groups. 

Keeping up to date and aware of the latest news from sports and athletes.

Branded content

Work closely with the commercial team to align partner content with broader campaigns and ParalympicsGB’s content strategy.

 Website

Contributing to ParalympicsGB digital channels including copywriting, image and video editing including athlete biographies and sport information. Research of athlete personalities and interests to populate future content plans.

 CRM

Keeping an up-to-date record on the ParalympicsGB CRM system of athlete content appearances and all relevant information.

 Games-time

Working on location at the heart of the Paralympic Games as part of the communications team to support athletes, team members and media with the delivery of key communications objectives. Will support Content Producer with capturing engaging Games-time content for ParalympicsGB channels.
