About this key role
As Reception and Volunteer Pathway Lead, you will act as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment, and also manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence and maintain a tidy and accessible reception area. You will also design and deliver a volunteer pathway programme for individuals returning to employment, which will include recruiting and onboarding volunteers with a focus on those who have been out of work and collaborating with internal departments to identify placement opportunities and role specifications.
We will also rely on you to provide induction and training support for volunteers and to offer ongoing supervision, coaching, and check-ins throughout placements. Monitoring and evaluating volunteer progression with clear pathways to employment and maintaining accurate volunteer records, ensuring safeguarding and compliance standards are both key duties, as is supporting departmental teams in coordinating volunteer schedules and placement logistics.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of youth work in England. As Policy and Public Affairs Manager at the National Youth Agency (NYA), you’ll play a central role in influencing national policy and driving change that impacts young people’s lives.
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to join our Policy, Insights and External Affairs Directorate. Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Work with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Policy and Public Affairs Officer, and key internal and external stakeholders to help design, manage and deliver a cutting-edge policy agenda and stakeholder outreach programme
- Line manage the Policy and Public Affairs Officer, delegating work effectively and supporting their professional development
- Identify and build positive relationships with key political and policy stakeholders who are critical to advancing our mission and amplifying the voice of the youth work.
- Manage policy projects, including drafting project plans, timelines and budgets, in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor the shifting national policy and political landscape, including parliamentary inquiries, consultations, political briefings and government announcements, and advise internal and external stakeholders on opportunities and risks
- Provide the secretariat for the National Youth Sector Advisory Board (NYSAB), convening the youth sector with government departments

About the role
We have a great job opening in our Grants team at ClientEarth! As Grants Officer you will work in our Grants Team to manage a portfolio of grants that fund our organisation’s work.
ClientEarth’s Development Department is responsible for raising and managing funds to enable the organisation to deliver its mission using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for, and with its inhabitants. The department is formed of several fundraising strands: a Grants Team and a Business Development Team that manage and secure funding from trusts, foundations, and institutional donors; and a Philanthropy Team, working with a wide range of individuals and organisations to raise primarily unrestricted gifts to support ClientEarth’s work.
Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Lydia Baker. Lydia joined ClientEarth in August 2024 and in her role as a Grants Manager is responsible for managing relationships with key funders. Lydia has worked in the NGO sector for over eight years and has expertise in a variety of functions including grant management, programme management, communications and monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with Lydia as part of an established Grants Team that sits within the Development Department at ClientEarth.
Main Duties
- Funding portfolio management - Have a close and in-depth knowledge of their grants portfolio, including a sound understanding of the philanthropic, institutional and statutory funding mix;
- Internal and external communications - Meet with Trust, Foundation and Institution portfolio managers to discuss proposals, provide updates on the programmatic work, and to formally report back on financial, organisational and technical issues;
- Project management - Effectively manage reporting and the grant renewal process from start to completion including working with multiple teams across ClientEarth’s European and international offices to ensure input from all avenues to complete proposals and reports in a timely and high-quality manner; and
- Financial planning and budget handling - Work with Finance and Programmes staff to develop individual budgets for funding proposals
- Systems and processes - Maintain funder database systems (Raiser’s Edge) and other organisational databases (SharePoint) on a daily basis

Working as part of a programme team, reporting to the Senior Accessibility Specialist you will act as lead on building, piloting and embedding a new Equality Impact Assessment process and upskilling colleagues for use across the organisation.
You will develop close relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including project managers, portfolio office, transformation teams and the EDI team; working collaboratively to ensure our policies, projects and programmes have an equitable approach from their inception.
You will have experience of successfully developing and supporting others in conducting Equality Impact Assessments or equivalent data analysis to inform evidence-based decision making. Leading and enabling change to improve inclusivity in an organisation, community or movement building setting. You will be an effective influencer with a record of working with others to achieve results.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience of conducting and supporting Equality Impact Assessments or similar assessments and data analysis that informs policy and procedure
- Strong understanding of intersectionality and generalist EDI knowledge, including the Equality Act 2010, to inform specialist advice and guidance
- Experienced in delivering strategic interventions and influencing positive change at all levels of a large and complex organisation
- Comfortable in proactively challenging internal policy, practices and communications to better include marginalised groups
- Experience of designing and delivering resources and training around EDI in a range of formats to meet the learner where they are in terms of their understanding and needs
- Strong experience of project management to enable work to be planned and delivered to a high quality, on time and within resource capacity
- Experience in contributing to change management and enabling organisational transition to new processes
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint and project management systems.

The Role

You’ll also:

The Role

The Senior Fundraising Support & Services Manager will lead a team of two Fundraising Support Executives, providing pre-award support to income-generating teams in the UK, USA and internationally.
