The Community Fundraising Manager is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Fundrasing Team. This role is central to building relationships, engaging local communities, and driving fundraising initiatives across the region. Being based in or regularly present in Northern Ireland is essential to effectively deliver on the role’s objectives and maintain close connections with supporters and stakeholders.

In Community Fundraising we are the team that builds relationships with our supporters, families, and event participants to fundraise so that MDUK can continue to find treatments and ultimately cures through research, and to drive improvements in care and quality of life. 

In this small but close team there are four other Community Fundraising Managers covering the rest of the UK and a Senior Manager who can support you and the rest of the team in delivering an excellent supporter journey to deliver the charities aims.

You will build relationships and manage both supporters and volunteers within the local community creating an impact by maximising financial contributions and raising awareness of fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

You will need a flexible approach to your working hours as the role may require some evening and weekend work.

The Initiatives and Partnerships Manager plays a key role in the Trust’s Initiatives and Partnerships Team. The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Trust’s projects, manage team members and on occasion support external and partnership projects. Our work is varied, ranging from early-stage feasibility planning, partnership development, fundraising, business planning and design development, as well as supporting our conservation team who lead construction phase oversight. 

This role builds on the successes of the Trust’s longstanding Regeneration programme, which has undertaken pioneering Regeneration projects addressing some of our most pressing conservation needs, as well as developing new operating models for some of the churches in our care. The job will support our regional teams in developing and implementing projects to deliver a range of conservation, social and regeneration benefits; with the balance of each responding to local need, demand and opportunity.

In addition, it encompasses the work undertaken to develop new commercial income opportunities. Examples are our groundbreaking Champing™ initiative, as well as others such as filming, and other commercial partnerships.

A little bit about the role

You will be working within the Curriculum Team which sits within the Chief Social Worker directorate. The team oversees the design and development of Frontline’s programmes, including the Approach Social Work three-year master’s programme and our in-house practice education training known as the Consultant Social Worker (CSW) programme. 

The Curriculum Team is responsible for delivering teaching and learning to participants, designing and delivering assessment, marking, moderation and ensuring that robust quality assurance processes are in place. The Curriculum Team works very closely with a variety of teams including, but not limited to Delivery, Programme Management, Academic Registry, Partnerships and university partners.

The Principal Curriculum Lead for Practice Education and Social Worker Development will be responsible for Practice Education and social worker development, providing strategic leadership and academic direction for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Practice Education CSW Programme and other training for students and qualified social workers. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Provide vision and leadership for our Practice Education provision, ensuring programmes reflect professional standards, innovation, and best practice.
• Lead curriculum design and enhancement to maintain academic rigor, coherence, and alignment with PEPS 1 and 2 and Social Work England requirements.
• Lead and teach across the CSW practice education programme and Master’s Dissertation module, embedding innovative and research-informed pedagogy and contribute to teaching and assessment across other programmes.
• Maintain current knowledge of social work education, pedagogy, and practice through research and scholarship.

A little bit about you 

We are looking for a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England (SWE) who has a masters’ degree in social work or a related discipline, with substantial experience in social work practice and higher education teaching. You’ll have strong leadership and management skills, with an excellent understanding of social work values, ethics and professional practice frameworks including a strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and social justice.

The BACCH Education and Training Administrator is a newly created role supporting the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH), a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. This role will take the lead on setting up and delivering educational courses and events for clinicians working in Community Child Health, including webinars, regional events, and the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting.

Reporting to the BACCH Executive Officer, you will coordinate the development of a structured education and training offer, manage logistics for online and in-person courses, and support initiatives such as trainee-led learning and paid short courses. You will also support BACCH’s six affiliated specialist groups with administrative and event coordination as needed.

The role requires a highly organised and self-motivated individual with experience in event planning, digital platforms, and administrative systems. You’ll also maintain contact databases, filing systems, and internal procedures, while providing occasional cover for the wider team.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting educational events or working in professional membership organisations, along with strong communication, planning and IT skills. About the role

Kinship Minds is a transformative programme that enhances the support we provide to kinship carers in England and Wales. Our goal is to build kinship carers' confidence and equip them with the knowledge and skills to support children in their care - especially in recognising and responding to early signs of mental health issues. 

We are at the beginning of our journey to embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across all areas of service delivery. This includes 1-to-1 support, digital resources and training, and peer support networks. 

The Strategic Trauma-Informed Practice Manager will lead this transition, helping us move from a trauma-sensitive organisation on a journey that becomes trauma-aware, trauma-informed, and ultimately trauma-responsive.

This strategic and hands-on role will help Kinship strengthen its therapeutic offer and build the confidence and capacity of staff and kinship carers to understand trauma and the impact it has, and provide strategies to support. We are particularly interested in experience in developing trauma-informed parenting training and resources.

The postholder will play a key role in developing and manualising our trauma-informed approach across core services: Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, our Advice Service, and Peer Support Service. They will work with subject matter experts to develop trauma-informed approaches, toolkits and resources into everyday service delivery – based on the needs of kinship carers and their families.

You will need to be able to step into this role quickly, bringing your experience of building and developing trauma-informed approaches in complex services. You will have strong leadership capabilities, able to work at pace autonomously with creativity and dynamism.  You will need to have excellent attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and leading Kinship’s trauma-informed strategy, ensuring the implementation of trauma-informed principles across all service delivery (for example, using Dr Karen Treisman’s approach). 
• Leading the development and manualisation of trauma-informed practice across Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, the Advice Service, and the Peer Support Service. This includes resources, approach and content.
• Supporting organisational development to embed trauma-informed values in practice, culture, policy, and leadership, working with our Head of People and Culture.
• Developing reflective practice approach to support managers to staff and volunteer resilience particularly across services. This could include a ‘train the trainer’ approach.
• Auditing current practices and recommend systems and processes to support trauma-informed service delivery.
• Developing and delivering capacity-building approaches and resources for kinship carers to help them identify and respond to trauma and mental health needs in children. 
• Working collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop self-guided training, toolkits, and multimedia resources.
• Providing and leading expert input into the trauma-informed design and delivery of Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, Advice Service and other 1-to-1 support programmes.
• Guiding frontline delivery staff to adopt trauma-informed practice, including the use of strengths-based approaches and flexible, family-led planning.
• Representing Kinship at external events and meetings to raise awareness of the services and to influence other organisations, policy and practice.

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience includes:

• A qualified trauma-informed practitioner with significant experience in delivering or developing trauma-informed services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business and Service Development Team at Dementia UK as a Regional Account Manager, where you’ll play a vital role in our strategy plans in managing and expanding Admiral Nursing Services across health and social care settings throughout the UK.

Brief role description

About the Ri

The Royal Institution (Ri) is an independent charity which has been connecting people with science for over 200 years. Founded in 1799 through the wonderful generosity of 58 patrons, to this day we remain based in our original, magnificent, Georgian home in central London. Thanks to the support of those early philanthropists, the Ri has inspired generations of scientists over the years whose discoveries have helped shape our modern world. 

The Ri has a clear vision that ‘Science is for Everyone’ and it is our belief that everyone should have equitable access to science. Through our packed event programme available in person or online, our UK schools outreach and social impact initiatives, and our global digital reach including almost 1.5m YouTube subscribers we achieve our mission by connecting people with scientists to explore science together. 

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated major gifts fundraiser to join our small fundraising team to support our ambitious goal to raise £20 million in support of the Be the Spark campaign.

This role is perfect for a collaborative self-starter who wants to make an impact, working at all levels of the organisation to maximise the relationships that will enable the Ri to succeed. You will be used to managing a portfolio of donors or high value clients and be comfortable working with donors at the highest levels. 

You will collaborate across the Ri to develop innovative and compelling proposals, delivering excellent account management and stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and cultivating new prospects.

If you are a warm, professional and engaging communicator, adept at managing a portfolio of high net worth donors  and able to work at all levels of the organisation to cultivate and develop influential  relationships, we would love to hear from you.

This role is full time (35 hours), permanent and requires a willingness to travel, including some overnight stays and occasional weekends. Requests to work flexibly or part-time will be considered.

Main responsibilities

• Proactive cultivation of potential major donors
• Identifying and researching donors and funding opportunities and building a strong pipeline for cultivation
• Managing Patrons programme
• Providing excellent stewardship of donors including reporting
• Maintaining engagement levels through regular communications and meetings
• Maintaining CRM records
• Working with junior colleagues to create and deliver a calendar of engagement opportunities and delivery of patron benefits
• Developing and organising fundraising appeals
• Monitoring and managing a budget, reporting to the board and analysing performance against agreed KPIs

About you:

Essential:

• Confidence in talking fluently about money in a professional environment
• Experience of building excellent relationships and networks both internally and externally
• Experience of managing relationships with donors or high value clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to tackle challenges constructively, and find creative ways forward

Desirable:

• Substantial demonstrable experience working in a fundraising position in the cultural or similar sector,
• Demonstrable experience of maximising opportunities from researching prospects to generating meetings, and securing income
• Experience leading a giving club or members networking group
• Individual Giving/Patron/Major Donor/Legacy fundraising experience, securing 6-figure donations.
• Strong understanding of the Ri’s mission and activities
• Degree or equivalent relevant qualification/demonstrable experience
• Qualification in fundraising related discipline

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner Programmes (Job Share) to join our busy Finance Team in Brooke UK. The role is for 3 days per week and reports to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.  You will share the role with another Finance Business Partner to drive financial process improvement in our Country Programmes in Ethiopia, Senegal, Nicaragua, India, Pakistan and Kenya, as well as the UK Programmes Department. This is an exciting time to join Brooke as we are about to embark on planning our new multi-year strategy.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting Country Programmes and UK Programmes Department in the effective management of financial resources, with timely financial reporting
• Leading on communication and coordination of financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes for Country Programmes and UK Programmes Department
• Providing the Director of Programmes with analysis of financial performance of Country Programmes and UK Programmes Department

Criteria

In order to excel in this post you will need:

• A professional accounting qualification, or qualified by experience
• Extensive experience of managing budgeting and forecasting processes
• Proven experience of using SUN financial system or similar
• Knowledge and experience of donor fund management
• Business partnering experience including skills to analyse, interpret and report financial data
