All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this net zero plan. The Giving Directorate is leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments. In addition, The Giving Directorate and NetZero Programme Team will be engaging with funders at a national level to secure investment for projects.

In 2024 and 2025, the Church of England is testing and piloting a range of approaches to help churches fundraise for projects. In 2023 The Giving Directorate piloted Give To Go Green, a parish match-funding grant scheme that will grow in 2024 to help 300 more churches with over £1m in grants towards carbon-cutting projects.

As Net Zero Fundraising Project Officer, you will work in The Giving Directorate to support the National Fundraising Advisor to deliver a strategy that enables dioceses and churches to secure funds for carbon cutting projects. You will develop and maintain resources, guidance and training and help share best practice across the country.

Job summary:

You will provide administrative support to the national fundraising workstream and the Give to Go Green match funding campaign. With a range of projects and fundraising initiatives, the post holder will work collaboratively within The Giving Directorate and with the Net Zero programme team, with diocesan colleagues and with church volunteers.

Main responsibilities

Sharing Best Practice:

• Coordinating the sharing of funding opportunities, case studies and training materials across the Church of England.
• Developing, improving and maintaining national fundraising resources for Net Zero Carbon projects, including web resources
• Updating the National List of Church Funders.
• Gathering fundraising case studies and sharing with Net Zero Communications & Engagement Coordinator.
• Responding to diocesan and parish queries about funding opportunities.

Supporting Grant Making:

• Supporting on the fundraising side of the Give To Go Green parish match funding project which may include acting as the primary point of contact for churches participating and advising on fundraising, reporting on income raised in parish fundraising campaigns, developing and improving resources, issuing grant agreements, and setting up meetings and webinars as required.

Project Administration:

• Collating reports, researching prospective donors and sharing information with key National Church Institutions (NCIs) stakeholders to support national fundraising workstream.
• Providing administration for national fundraising workstream by organising internal and external meetings.
• Providing administrative support for training events, webinars and conferences.
  
  

Experience

Essential:

• Experience of fundraising or encouraging giving in a paid capacity
• Experience of working successfully in multi-disciplinary teams across departments in a complex organisation.

Desirable:

• Previous experience of working in a customer-service support function.
• Experience in planning, seeking and applying for funding from grant makers.
• Experience of working within the Church sector, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, ideally in relation to giving, fundraising, or church finances.
• Experience working in the environment/low-carbon/sustainability sector.

Qualification

A professional fundraising or carbon literacy qualification is desirable. The postholder should also have willingness to study and gain membership of the Institute of Fundraising, if not already a member.

About the role 

Dementia UK is currently seeking a Database Officer to lead on the delivery of processes within the Database Services team.

As Database officer, your primary responsibility will be managing a substantial volume of data files, from a variety of sources seamlessly importing this information into our fundraising database. You will handle supporter data ensuring a high level of accuracy, while being directly responsible for running the majority of data imports as well as handling enquires coming into the Database Services shared inbox and running regular data cleansing routines.

In addition, you will be expected to maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed. Working with the Supporter Care, Finance, and Fundraising teams to ensure income is accurately coded across all fundraising streams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection guidelines including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and will bring previous experience in using databases for data entry, maintenance, and importation. A high level of computer literacy is essential, and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required. In the first instance, this will be achieved through joint project management and rollout of a new Federation wide SharePoint eco system. This is an exciting time to deliver a new ecosystem that will lay the foundation for future enhancement and uses of technology across all aspects of the Federation (Educational and Corporate).

School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

Healthy Zones programme

Healthy Zones supports primary, secondary and special schools to create a food environment that puts young people's health centre stage. We are working with schools to develop food policies and to improve the food served in their breakfast and after school clubs. The programme uses a whole school approach through hands-on engagement with students, staff, kitchen teams, governors and parents.

Job Purpose

· To promote, develop and deliver the Healthy Zones programme across schools in Southwark and Lambeth

· Support with the expansion of the Healthy Zones programme across other regions in England

•  Recruit schools to take part in Healthy Zones
• Complete food audits in schools looking across the whole school day (training provided)

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team, using your skills and experience to grow the corporate partnerships programme and secure support from new corporate supporters.

As the Corporate Partnerships Senior Officer, you will lead on securing new six figure multi-year corporate partnerships. You will develop partnership proposals and deliver compelling pitches to secure the support of new corporate partners. In case you haven’t heard of us, we’re Cosmic. A small charity that supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s & Queen Charlotte's Hospital by helping patients and their families, and by enabling our dedicated team of nurses and doctors to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care.

We go above and beyond what the NHS can't afford purchasing vital state of the art equipment, providing training for health professionals, funding a programme of ground-breaking research into life-threatening diseases and supporting families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one-to-one support, advice, counselling, accommodation for parents.

We have <10 employees, and are based in central London. 

What you’ll responsible for: 

As CEO, you will:

• Provide clear leadership, strategic direction and management for the Charity, its employees and volunteers.
• Elevate the Charity's income streams.  
• Work with and support the Chair, Trustees and finance committee ensure good governance of the organisation.
• Ensure the continued development, quality levels and effectiveness of service delivery
• Increase the Charity's profile, reach and influence.  
• Oversee the Fundraising, Finance, HR, Health & Safety and Operations Teams.

About the role

This varied role provides the exciting opportunity to lead our NAFIS (National Association of Family Information Services) programme and lead on communications across our areas of work. The Projects and Communications Officer will work with local and central government officers, childcare providers and sector experts to help children and families get the best start in the crucial early years. They will create insightful and engaging content for our communication channels including blogs, website and social media posts, vodcasts and case studies, to ensure a high profile with our audience.

As a key member of a small team, the role will support the development and implementation of strategies and plans, and contribute to the longer term development of sustainable and effective programmes.

This role would suit an adaptable, creative communicator who enjoys variety and the chance to take the lead on areas of their work.

A skilled project manager and technical advisor, with a proven ability to work with external stakeholders, you will work in support of the Technical Manager to manage the technical aspects of Leaping Bunny and other organisational programmes.
