Role

The Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of Degrees’ international events, including workshops that bring together funded researchers and the biennial Degrees Global Forum conference. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, they will design and manage high-quality events that strengthen collaboration, showcase research outcomes, and advance Degrees’ mission to support equitable SRM research in the Global South. This role requires strategic oversight, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver complex international events from concept to completion. 

Key responsibilities

Lead planning and delivery of events 

• Be responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of Degrees’ international events, including the biennial Degrees Global Forum and—in cooperation with the programmes team—quarterly regional research workshops.
• Support the delivery of policy engagement and fundraising events.
• Develop event concepts, agendas, and formats that align with organisational priorities. 
• Work closely with colleagues across other workstreams—particularly the Fundraising and Policy Engagement teams—to ensure that events are aligned with strategic priorities, that logistical planning complements programme content and policy objectives, and that participants and speakers are appropriately supported.
• Be responsible for end-to-end event budgets, forecasting, variance reporting; lead procurement;

Operational and logistical management 

• Ensure the smooth delivery of all event logistics, including venue selection, letters of contribution to participants, travel and lodging arrangements, visas, supplier contracting, budget management, insurances and risk assessments.
• Ensure events run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget, whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and participant experience.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement 

• Work closely with colleagues across Degrees’ teams (programmes, policy engagement, communications, fundraising, and operations) to ensure events support strategic goals.
• Liaise with external partners, funders, and speakers to build strong relationships and deliver impactful, collaborative events.

Monitoring, learning, and continuous improvement 

• Capture lessons learned from each event and contribute to refining Degrees’ event strategy and processes.
• Support post-event communications, reporting, and knowledge sharing to maximise the impact and visibility of Degrees’ work.

Key relationships

• Within the Programmes team forge close working relations with the Programmes Manager and the three Programme Officers.
• Develop strong working relations with colleagues from the following teams i) Operations, ii) Policy & Engagement and iii) Communications
• Depending on future organisational growth, the role may require managing an Events Officer

Our growing team, who are primarily volunteers, all contribute, significantly, to the impact that we have as a charity on our direct beneficiaries, regardless of the department that they work in of the level of time that they are able to commit. Our services primarily offer a peer-support network to young people right across the UK, allowing them to access a peer mentor who is of a similar age to them and somebody that they feel more comfortable speaking with.

If successful, you will be joining a growing team of diverse, but likeminded individuals, collaborating to increase the reach of the Charity and improve support provisions available to young people. All of our volunteers and employees are remote workers, but that doesn't stop us keeping in touch and maintaining a strong positive culture amongst our whole team.

About the role

We are seeking a transformational and visionary Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) to lead a national youth focused organisation, dedicated to promoting peer-led early intervention support for those in need. The successful candidate will be the first employed leader, propelling Youth4Youth from its robust foundations to the next stages of its development. The CEO will be responsible for turning our recently developed, yet ambitious, strategy into reality. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact from the outset.

Youth4Youth has secured funding to appoint a CEO for one year, with the expectation that the appointed leader will focus on securing long-term sustainable funding, thereby transitioning this position into a permanent role at the end of the fixed-term period. Additionally, the CEO will facilitate the appointment of further roles to support our mission as further funding becomes available.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with the Chair of the Board and Trustees to establish and execute organisational strategy in alignment with the charity’s vision, mission, and objectives. This includes ensuring effective governance and legal compliance, and providing sound, evidence-based recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
• Champion continuous improvement, ensuring Youth4Youth remains a leading provider of youth-led early intervention wellbeing services. Identify and develop opportunities to expand the charity's reach and impact across the UK.
• Oversee effective financial management, ensuring the organisation can continue delivering its services efficiently. Lead the development of sustainable funding streams, enhance fundraising strategies, foster partnerships, and drive growth in commercial activities.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within and beyond our sector to maximise partnership opportunities. Explore the delivery and co-delivery of commissioned services and access broader funding sources previously untapped by the charity.
• Ensure that youth perspectives are central to decision-making processes about the charity's future. Establish systems to continuously gather input and feedback from our target beneficiaries.

This position offers the chance to advance an organisation with solid foundations, enhancing its reach and impact across the UK through a volunteer executive leadership team and a growing network of approximately 100 volunteers nationwide. The CEO will be instrumental in crafting a strategic vision that translates into operational success, building and strengthening partnerships across the four nations, developing sustainable funding streams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Policy Officer to join on a full-time, permanent contract, working 35 hours per week.

This role is key to supporting Alzheimer’s Society’s ambitions to drive major system and policy change in diagnosis, care and treatment across England, Northern Ireland and Wales at an exciting time in dementia policy. Evidence-based, collaborative, engaging and innovative policymaking will be central to everything the Policy Officer does.

As Policy Officer you will play an important role in determining what the Society thinks about the big issues affecting people affected by dementia. Through robust scoping and policy development, you will help to identify the action needed to affect change and help ensure our influencing activity is evidence-driven, timely and relevant across the three nations in which we work – nationally and locally.

You will be an expert policy advisor to colleagues across the Society and support Policy Managers to deliver against agreed integrated plans, including helping to monitor progress and performance and working with others to gather evidence, insight and data to underpin our policy work. Key to the success of this role is engaging others in the policy development process, sharing analysis, opinion and insight to inspire high-quality, dynamic policymaking.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience working in a complex policy environment, with sound understanding of the wider political environment, preferably in relation to health and care. You will have experience involving patients, service users and/or those living with long-term health conditions in your work.

Crucially, you will be a team player, naturally collaborative, with good attention to detail and be curious and challenging of the status quo. You will be a good communicator with the ability to use written/verbal communication skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders and produce high-quality and accessible policy content. This includes translating highly complex data and developments into insightful commentary and recommendations.

Role

Working within the Individual Giving team, you’ll have a varied role managing and supporting the delivery of supporter-centric fundraising appeals which will recruit, retain and/or develop supporters across the cause-led, gaming, in memory and legacy programmes. These appeals will include utilising online and offline channels such as direct mail, organic and paid social advertising, email, private sites, SMS and telemarketing.

This role would suit someone with some experience of marketing or fundraising or who would like to expand their experience of Individual Giving.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Volunteer Officer to plan and deliver our new Volunteer Strategy. This role involves leading and coordinating our voluntary role holders across different roles and integrating with the wider work of the team.

At One Roof Leicester we provide accommodation and support to single adults who are homeless. We support our residents to recover, reset and rebuild their lives in a safe and stable home.

Every resident is provided with the specialist and tailored one to one support to enable them to move on into permanent homes. In their journey with us we want to ensure they can maintain their new homes and never return back to homelessness. That is why we have created this new role.

Thanks to the funding from the National Lottery Community Fund Climate Action Fund for the LEAF (Leicester Environmental Action and Future) programme we will be employing a Climate Action Officer to join our team. The role will help residents prepare for independent living by increasing awareness of the environmental and financial impacts of daily behaviours, such as energy use, diet, transport, recycling, and DIY skills. Through workshops, events, and hands-on activities, the postholder will inspire and empower residents to make positive lifestyle changes that support both personal wellbeing and the environment.

The LEAF initiative brings together De Montfort University and five local community organisations (including ORL) who are working together to increase climate awareness and action across Leicester communities.

We're looking for a Mid-Value Campaign Manager to deepen engagement with those donating up to £10k, ensuring they have a fantastic supporter experience when they give to Dogs Trust.

What does this role do?
As Mid-Value Campaign Manager, you’ll:

• Design and implement a mid-value programme for a pipeline of mid-value donors, cultivating relationships with individuals, families, trusts and foundations who are making donations up to £10k,
• Build and grow a community of donors at this level, bringing together likeminded, generous individuals,
• Take ownership over the programme and work creatively to develop new materials for the programme, continually improving donor journeys.

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 15th December 2025.

Could this be you?
To be successful this role, you’ll be an experienced fundraiser, ideally with experience across different high value fundraising areas, such as philanthropy or trusts. You’ll have excellent communication and stewardship skills, with the ability to craft bespoke donor journeys that engage and inspire donors at this level. You’ll have a proven track record of meeting targets, and thinking innovatively to maximise giving potential.

Within this role, you will manage and deliver Battersea’s Lottery & Lead Generation programme, maximising income and achieving budgeted targets and KPIs. You will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of three to deliver the programme effectively and professionally. The Bar Council represents the nearly 16,000 barristers in England and Wales. The Bar Council is the governing body and the Approved Regulator for the Bar of England and Wales. It discharges its regulatory functions through the independent Bar Standards Board.

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised and personable executive assistant to support our new Chief Executive in their first year at the Bar Council. Working with our executive office and governance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive induction programme for the new CEO, to include arranging and facilitating meetings and briefings with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, as well as providing ongoing high-level administrative and organisational support to the CEO.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide support at the highest level of the organisation and encompasses diary management, stakeholder liaison, producing briefing documents and papers, minute-taking at meetings, arranging complex travel and itineraries and expense monitoring. From time to time, the postholder may be required to assist other members of the Senior Management Team and the wider executive office.

Ideally, we are looking for a EA with experience providing comprehensive support to a high-level executive, who can “hit the ground running”, manage a busy diary and prioritise complex and conflicting demands whilst planning ahead with a strategic mindset. The successful executive assistant will need to evidence a collaborative and solutions-focussed approach to work. A willingness or desire to learn about the legal sector would be beneficial.
