At The Rise School, we are currently looking for a Senior PBS Practitioner to join our team. The Rise School is a thriving special school based in Feltham, West London educating autistic pupils aged 4-18.
Set up in 2014 by the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust, the school has continued to grow and now has a vibrant learning community of nearly 100 pupils.
We have an exciting new role as a Senior PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) Practitioner within the Integrated Services team that comprises of a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists, PBS Practitioners and Speech and Language Therapists, working in our education settings.
As a Senior PBS Practitioner, you will be passionate about improving the quality of life of autistic children and young people working with the transdisciplinary team to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will achieve this through providing high quality PBS advice and support across the tiers of support (universal, targeted and specialist). You'll lead on PBS essentials training across the whole school, whilst line managing 2 PBS Practitioners. You will conduct risk assessments of challenging behaviour and devise and implement PBS plans, providing coaching and support to class teams to optimise fidelity.
We are looking for and individual who:
- Has or is working towards a level 5 PBS qualification (or relevant alternative)
- Is skilful in the use of functional assessment and intervention
- Manages a complex caseload an prioritises and delegates effectively
- Has advanced skills in building and maintaining positive relationships with children and young people, professionals and parents/carers.

About the role:
The role of Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO) is a fast paced one which requires the post holder to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to victims of crime and those accessing the service in Cumbria.
As a TEIO, you will;
- answer incoming calls, speaking to those affected by crime & manage a caseload
- make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
- work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
- liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
- work with the wider team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime
You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.
You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

Prostate cancer is harming too many men, in exchange for too few cures, which is why we are motivated more than ever to deliver a future where prostate cancer is no longer limiting men’s lives. We invest in the most innovative research which will expand our understanding of prostate cancer and one day improve the lives of men with the disease. Recently we announced the funding of the TRANSFORM study, a £42 million programme to trial on a national scale new ways to screen for prostate cancer. It’s through this initiative that we intend to generate the definitive evidence needed to underpin a national screening programme for prostate cancer which could save thousands of men’s lives each year.
What the job involves
As a Diagnosis Research Lead, you’ll oversee the management of the TRANSFORM study on behalf of the charity, closely monitoring progress and spend against project timelines/budgets and regularly reporting back to key stakeholders internally and externally about this exciting initiative. You’ll regularly liaise with the study leads and the wider network of collaborators, as well as set up and oversee the management of the governance steering committees for the programme.
You’ll develop a detailed understanding of our portfolio of research and the wider diagnostic research landscape for prostate cancer, establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant research groups and companies working in the diagnostic space. This role will also involve working closely with colleagues in our communications and fundraising directorates to showcase the TRANSFORM study to public, scientific and healthcare professional audiences, demonstrating our research efforts towards achieving earlier and accurate diagnosis.
What we want from you
We believe the TRANSFORM study will generate practice-changing evidence to support screening for prostate cancer, with the potential to save thousands of men’s lives in the UK each year. This is therefore a critical role to us. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about, and experienced in, research grant management and in particular, the management and delivery of multi-site clinical trials.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about research and able to understand and communicate complex scientific information found in applications, progress reports, research papers and presentations. You’ll be a confident and clear communicator, able to build strong working relationships and provide valuable support to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior researchers, senior colleagues, trustees, corporate partners and committee members.
With experience in project management, you’ll have an ability to organise and prioritise a diverse workload depending on business need, delivering to stipulated timeframes whilst consistently maintaining the highest standards, with a meticulous attention to detail. This role will also require you to be proficient in the use of standard IT packages (most notably Microsoft Office), ideally with experience of grant management software such as Symplectic Grant Tracker.

What you’ll be doing …
The main purpose of this role is to grow the venue hire pipeline of business and deliver venue hire events and specialist group events to excellent standards ensuring repeat business and maximising new sales opportunities. We are seeking a professional, confident candidate who enjoys the end-to-end process of events and is keen to make their mark on venue hire at the Society. You will also be highly organised with a keen eye for detail and confident being the ‘gatekeeper’ of the room bookings diary at the society.
Overall responsibilities / requirements …
Venue Hire Sales & Marketing:
- To deal with all venue sales enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- To build and maintain an effective pipeline of venue hire enquiries. Including attending venue hire showcases and B2B networking events as necessary.
- Professional and friendly manner, confident in delivering and leading on showrounds to prospective clients.
- To produce venue hire literature and ensure that all material relating to the venue facilities is kept up to date.
- To meet venue hire sales targets for 2024 as set by the Society and build effective sales pipelines for 2025.
- Liaise with Marketing Teams to produce bespoke posts and newsletters for members, venue hire leads and special offers for venue hire throughout the year, maximising engagement.
- Support the Head of Events with all key cultivation events including venue hire showcases and any new business ventures.
Venue Hire Administration:
- To maintain safe working practices in conjunction with Health & Safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with Buildings Manager to communicate key information taking place across Burlington House.
- To liaise with AV company with regards to timings, payments, staff needs, training and use of equipment / set up for events.
- To liaise with caterers with regards to timings, payments, staff attending, training and room set up for events.
- To produce a weekly booking sheet for all staff to communicate bookings across the building.
- To produce and meet budgets for events in consultation with the Head of Events
- Manage the venue hire diary, ensuring it is kept up to date and all bookings are accurately recorded.
- To check all incoming invoices against quotes/information received and pass to accounts for payment.
- To raise and resolve any invoice queries in a timely manner.
Event Operations:
- To deliver all venue hire and specialist group events to excellent standards.
- To liaise with speakers and venue hire delegates and communicate all logistical details in a timely fashion including H&S briefings, PEEP plans and Risk Assessments.
- To make any other logistical arrangements that are necessary for the smooth running of events covering timings, parking, room set-ups etc.
- To ensure that all events are accessible and organised within the disability discrimination legislation.
- To support the events team with ad-hoc events out of hours where needed across the year.
- Ensure the events spaces are well maintained in collaboration with the Buildings Manager.
Teamwork:
- To be proactive in identifying areas for potential improvement in the events programme
- To take part in developing more efficient ways of working within the team
- To ensure that positive working relationships are created with other departments at GSL
- To participate in team meetings and wider meetings including External Relations and Health & Safety.
Other responsibilities and expectations:
- The post holder is expected to work flexibly to respond to changing needs at The Geological Society. As the Conference Office operates a room hire service it is expected that the postholder will undertake out-of-hours work to ensure that this service can operate. Excess hours worked will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
- The post holder is expected to undertake any other responsibilities or tasks consistent with the role and/or reasonably required by the Head of Events.

Harris Hill has an opening for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to join a health related charity for 3 months, but potentially longer to cover recruitment period.
Following the completion of a 5 year plan, the organisation has decided to invest in Individual Giving as it has been noted there is lots of room for improvement, one of which is dividing the team into separate retention and acquisitions teams. This will focus on the retention side. They will be recruiting permanently but need someone quite experienced to get the ball rolling on an interim basis.
As an IG Manager, you will be required to hit the ground running but also be quite hands on, ready to roll your sleeves up when needed. The role is hybrid based with one day per week in the office. They have two offices. One in central and the other in south London which could work well for someone commuting in from the Surrey and the south.
The client is willing to offer a daily rate on a PAYE basis of £164-200 per day, plus holiday pay, which would be payrolled via the agency. You could choose an umbrella company if you wish.
