About the role:

As a Team Leader you will be:

• Ensuring the effective delivery of services to victims in accordance with the London Adult Service against contract specifications, operating procedures, confidentiality, information sharing and safeguarding policies.
• Lead the caseworker team, ensuring victims receive timely, professional needs and risks assessment and referral to appropriate support, assuring the quality of service provision.
• The role will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager/Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.

STRATEGY  

• To work closely alongside the Bishop and Archdeacon in developing, delivering and reviewing a measurable and impactful Edmonton Area Plan within the 2030 Vision for London. 
• To actively encourage and enable the projects and plans for mission across the Area working closely with the Bishop, Archdeacon and the Area Deans for each of the four Deaneries and other Area and Diocesan staff. 
• To develop a strategy in the Area in line with the overarching diocesan Mission Framework, which relates to the other four Area strategies and which leads directly towards plans for growth
• Some of these mission plans will relate to work on funding applications and others which relate to the increased provision and maintenance of services by personal interventions and strategic support.  
• Lead on the stakeholder engagement and change management planning for the larger sized mission programmes within the Area 
• To work with the Diocese of London 2030 Vision program office to gather appropriate metrics in order to provide a framework for good strategic decision making.
• To support parishes as they develop their mission and vision, adding value such as in facilitating vision and planning events, linking with partners and external bodies.

TEAM  

• To enjoy playing a full part in the Area Staff Team, sharing in decision making and development of the program of culture change.

MAINTENANCE OF SERVICES

• To work with the Area Deans in the delivery of particular mission plans and initiatives in their Deaneries that relate to and will result in services of worship taking place in these churches.
• To encourage churches in their community engagement and social action initiatives, including partnership working across the Area and on specific local projects, sharing best practice so that new and existing services of worship will develop and be maintained to address their needs. 
• To provide support for clergy in the delivery of project work in relation to buildings so they will draw new people into worship services. This will include working through the purposes for which the buildings were established and their interpretation of that in the maintenance of services today. 

RESOURCING  

• To work alongside churches in vacancy to remain focused on mission and to plan for appropriate future leadership, supporting the Bishop and Archdeacon in running vacancy and appointments processes. 
• To help parishes access the support available from the Diocese of London’s Ambition and Priority teams, noting in particular support for new incumbents
• Ambition teams: Confident Disciples, Compassionate Communities, Creative Growth (CCX) – and how they link with maintaining church services. 
• Priority teams: Growing Younger, Safer Churches, Racial Justice 
• To provide advice and support to enable successful church revitalisation including work with current and potential Resource Churches in discerning how their strengths and gifts can be best used in support of planting and other parish support and that new services will be established to serve those currently less well reached.

• To ensure the necessary provision of training for missional engagement and useful sources for theological reflection on mission.  

GENERAL

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fundraising Manager to join us on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum 3 days per week). This role will lead and manage our small fundraising team and drive income generation across a range of activities. £42,000.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

This role is maternity cover, the expected duration is 9 months.

As the Service Manager you will be required to successfully apply for CQC registration for regulated activity and/or registered services within 6 months of appointment. You will ensure that your teams meet all statutory requirements and that all support is delivered in compliance with CQC expectations and Look Ahead's policy and procedures. You will take responsibly for maintaining compliance with the regulations and ensure that the appropriate notifications are made where necessary.

What you'll do:

Leadership Accountabilities:

Successfully lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing and ongoing maintenance of a positive performance culture within your service
Work to continuously improve staff competence, ensure ownership of all staff issues and speedy and effective conflict resolution - this includes but is not limited to staff supervision, coaching, team meetings, reflective practice and training
Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc.
Deliver effective, professional and commercially focused briefings and supervision meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting & communications flow up/down is effective
Responsible for managing and allocating customers to support staff (casework management)

What you'll bring:

Essential:

Educated to degree level or equivalent
Experience of managing contracts and resources and delivering to budget and performance targets
Experience of delivering to housing management performance targets
Experience of effectively managing and developing staff to ensure delivery of services performance targets within contract
Experience of successfully managing external partnerships to ensure successful delivery of services
Holds relevant Health and Social Care management qualification - eg QCF Level 5
Experience managing supported living and/or Registered services for adults with learning disabilities and autism

This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in designing, implementing and reporting on process and impact programme evaluations – most of which focus on young people - utilising quantitative and qualitative methodologies, conducting evidence reviews, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders. You’ll work with colleagues to embed learnings and develop advice and guidance to support the engineering outreach activity more widely.

About the role

At EngineeringUK we use evidence to make a real difference. Through research insight and robust evaluation, we work to improve the impact of our own work, as well as that of other organisations in our sector. Our aim is to make a positive difference to young people’s lives and securing the diverse engineering and technology workforce the UK needs to thrive. The research and evaluation team consists of 6 researchers and analysts who work to provide these insights.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop our evaluation projects, to help build an evidence-base for engineering and technology outreach activities and to shape how we use this evidence to inform our own and others’ practice.

With support from the Head of Evaluation and Impact, you will be the operational lead on our evaluations, with responsibility for:

• critically assessing the evidence required to ascertain impact of engineering and technology outreach activities across a complex landscape, with an emphasis on groups historically underrepresented in the engineering and technology professions
• designing and managing the evaluation of our educational programmes, including the practicalities and logistics of collecting/analysing these data, and reporting findings to internal and external stakeholders
• working with colleagues to embed learning from evaluation findings into our future activities and the wider evidence base on the impact of engineering outreach activity
• developing advice and guidance on evaluation and impact measurement to support the engineering outreach community to evaluate their activity more robustly.
   

This job would ideally suit an experienced monitoring and evaluation professional interested in evaluating education programmes with a focus on increasing opportunities for young people from underrepresented groups.
 

We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and the option for a flexible start and end to the working day in our vibrant central London office overlooking the Thames and may involve some travel in the UK for evaluation fieldwork. Person specification

Essential Skills / Competencies

• Knowledge of and experience in using evaluation techniques/practices, ideally with familiarity of education outreach programmes
• Ability to design and use quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and analyse these data using widely used analysis software (for example, SPSS, STATA, R, CAQDAS)
• Experience in undertaking literature searches and reviews, identifying relevant evidence, appraising its quality, and summarising the body of existing work
• Excellent time and project management skills, with experience working on multiple projects at once, adapting to changing priorities, and meeting hard deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to lead evaluation projects independently, from conception to dissemination
• Proactive in identifying evaluation opportunities and driving projects forward
• Ability to work independently and prioritise own tasks and time, but also take direction, be flexible and work collaboratively with others, contributing to team decisions and facilitating cross-organisational working
• An understanding of ethical and legal aspects of social research and the ability to adhere to appropriate research ethics and data protection protocols
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, foster collaboration with external partners on shared objectives and involve users in the development of research and evaluation
• Commitment to our mission and values, you will be able to engage with our values and work in a way that supports our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion

Education / level of experience

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes, ideally with young people
