About the Role

We are recruiting a Communications Officer to play a pivotal role in promoting Solace’s services and campaigning work to external audiences via social media and our website, and supporting Solace staff via internal communications. This role has a focus on social media, however skills and experience in copywriting and website maintenance are also essential.

This role will ensure domestic abuse survivors, decision makers, supporters and future supporters understand the life-saving services we offer, our hard-hitting campaigns, Solace’s impact on women’s lives and our contribution to bringing about lasting change. It will strongly support our fundraising team to raise vital funds to support survivors, and our public affairs team to ensure Solace maintains its status within the charity, women’s and government sectors.

In the year of our 50th anniversary, we are celebrating how much we’ve achieved, but also reflecting on the fact that there is so much more to be done. Role Purpose

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Royal Hospital Chelsea as Assistant Director of Audience Engagement on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.  A core focus of the role is to develop the Royal Hospital Chelsea into a national heritage destination while ensuring our community of veterans remains at the heart of everything we do.

JOB PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised operations professional to play a key role in strengthening the systems, processes and projects that will underpin our 10-year ambition. The Fundraising Operations Officer will help drive improvements in how the Fundraising team manages data, reporting and income tracking. The role supports the smooth running of Fundraising operations by improving and maintaining systems, processes and administrative functions, ensuring the global team runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is a newly established role that will offer hands-on experience in project coordination, risk escalation and CRM management, and will support you to develop technical and strategic skills in an international fundraising environment. KEY OBJECTIVES

Operational Oversight

• Oversee day-to-day Fundraising operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. GDPR and IATI, across all relevant jurisdictions
• When needed, coordinate process improvement initiatives that support Fundraising delivery and create efficiencies, ensuring they work alongside those already used within Lumos
• Manage back-office functions for recruitment, inductions of new starters in the Fundraising team, and management of contractors and other suppliers as appropriate
• Provide operational support for events, including managing guest lists, monitoring expenditure, helping with venue logistics and on-the-day activities
• Help maintain and improve internal systems and team documentation (e.g., on SharePoint)

Salesforce Administration

• Act as our day-to-day administrator for our Salesforce database
• Manage the process of recording and reporting on information from Salesforce, maintaining accurate donor and income data, and ensuring up-to-date and consistent record keeping
• Take the lead on running selections and reports to support fundraising activity
• As needed, provide basic training and guidance about Salesforce for the team
• Work with the Finance team to reconcile donations recorded on Salesforce with their records

Information Management

• Support the Director of Fundraising with financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to inform key strategic decisions.
• Deliver accurate and timely income and activity reporting to key stakeholders, including the Chief Executive, Trustees and the Fundraising Committee and to share with external agencies such as the Fundraising Regulator.
• Maintain the risk register, ensuring it reflects activity and can be used as a tool by the Director of Fundraising and Chief Executive

Fundraising Support

• Provide administrative and coordination support for fundraising campaigns, appeals and events
• Assist with donor stewardship, including thank-you letters and donor communications
• Respond to enquiries via the Fundraising inbox, social media or post
• Support scheduling and coordination of Fundraising meetings and cross-team projects
• Collaborate across the organisation to ensure fundraising needs are integrated and aligned

About the Role

We are recruiting a Senior Media and Communications Officer to join us and play a pivotal role in promoting Solace’s services and campaigning work to external audiences via the media and social media. The post holder will also support with internal communications, and hold oversight of communications volunteers. This role will ensure domestic abuse survivors, decision makers, supporters and future supporters understand the life-saving services we offer, our hard-hitting campaigns, Solace’s impact on women’s lives and our contribution to bringing about lasting change.

The Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. Purpose of this role  

The Business Support Administrator will provide high quality support to the Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees, and the Chief Operating Officer. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Director General. 

Responsibilities and Expectations  

• Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Chief Operating Officer, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 

• Coordinate the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings. 

• Monitor and report on progress against Board and Committee actions, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery 

• Support the delivery of the annual Board effectiveness review, gathering feedback and helping to implement improvements. 

• Assist with the planning and delivery of the annual external audit, working with colleagues and auditors to meet key deadlines. 

• Maintain key registers including the Gift & Hospitality Register, Declarations of Interest, and compliance trackers. 

• Facilitate due diligence checks as needed, liaising with legal advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance. 

• Maintain the organisation’s contract register, tracking review dates and supporting internal contract reviews and renewals. 

• Deliver one-off projects and provide flexible support across the Corporate Services team as required.

Disability Action in Islington (DAII) is a local, user-led Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO) supporting disabled residents to live independently, access their rights, and thrive. Our advice and advocacy services are free, trauma-informed, and rooted in the social model of disability.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Information & Advice Services Coordinator to lead the delivery of our community advice service. This role is ideal for someone who brings both frontline advice experience and the confidence to support a small team working with people facing multiple barriers.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver rights-based support across welfare benefits, housing, health and social care — and help us prepare for Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accreditation.

About the Role

As Information & Advice Services Coordinator, you will:

• Co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of DAII’s advice and information service
• Provide direct support to clients with complex or ongoing needs
• Support colleagues and volunteers in dealing with multi-issue casework
• Ensure records are kept accurately and support monitoring and reporting
• Build partnerships with statutory and voluntary services to provide joined-up support
• Lead on quality assurance work as we prepare for AQS accreditation

Who We’re Looking

For This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, empathetic, and committed to justice and inclusion. You’ll need to balance coordination with frontline delivery, while supporting others to grow.

Essential:

• At least 18 months’ experience in advice, advocacy or support work
• Knowledge of key issues affecting disabled people, including welfare rights, housing, and social care
• Excellent digital and administrative skills, including using case management systems
• Experience working with people with complex needs and navigating multi-agency support
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to the values of equality, inclusion, and the social model of disability

Desirable:

• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 in Advice and Guidance) or lived experience
• Experience supporting or coordinating a small team or service
• Familiarity with AdvicePro or similar systems 
• Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches
