Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.

The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, currently 10am – 4pm).

The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support service to carers in Manchester  

The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice immediately where possible and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.

Role Purpose

The Access to Healthcare Organiser will help shape Migrants Organise’s strategy to grow an organised refugee and migrant solidarity movement as part of the Patients Not Passports campaign, alongside our partners at Medact, in order to bring about systemic change to end the hostile and racist immigration enforcement system in the NHS. The Organiser's work will include identifying, recruiting and supporting people charged or denied healthcare and facilitating their participation in the Patients Not Passports campaign, as well as supporting migrant movement builders to organise, lead and deliver organised and effective social justice actions locally, regionally and nationally alongside supporters and allies. 

About CAT

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is an internationally renowned environmental charity, a world-leading eco centre, and one of the foremost providers of postgraduate environmental education in the UK, based near Machynlleth in Powys, Mid Wales.

CAT launched the Zero Carbon Britain Hub and Innovation Lab in 2020 with support from the Moondance Foundation. This was initially a three year project and received further funding from the Moondance Foundation to run the Innovation Lab for a further three years. This will be achieved by offering a programme of support aimed at increasing the competence, confidence and effectiveness of policy makers, communities and organisations in developing zero carbon policies and action plans. This support will include: using the Zero Carbon Britain model to provide people with the knowledge to create Zero Carbon Action Plans; delivering Zero Carbon Britain training using a ‘train the trainer’ model to increase the skills and capacity of communities to take action on climate change; supplying the tools to enable people to turn climate emergency declarations into action; setting up a digital resource hub and online network to provide peer support and increase confidence of individuals and communities to take action on climate change. The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking an Individual Giving and Data Manager to join our Development Directorate on a fixed-term basis, providing key support in the delivery of the Academy’s fundraising efforts, including supporting the implementation of a new CRM system.

The Role

The Individual Giving and Data Manager will work closely with the Head of Development to manage data and deliver communications to individual donors at the British Academy. This will include a regular giving programme, with a target audience of the Academy’s Fellow, and fundraising from public events attendees. This role is unique in that it sits within the small, friendly Development Directorate, and will also work closely with colleagues in the Academy’s Digital Team.

The Academy is currently transitioning its CRM system to Salesforce and the Individual Giving and Data Manager will work closely with the Project Team to achieve this. A core duty of the role involves the migration of data and helping to coordinate and build new fundraising processes within the new system. To do this, the post-holder will work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure that communications to Fellows and other individual donors are co-ordinated. You will be an effective communicator, able to collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders. A keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving, in terms of planning, prioritisation and demonstrating resilience when faced with adversity is essential.

You will also coordinate fundraising-related communications across a variety of platforms, working closely with colleagues in the Digital Team. This includes thanking donors in a timely and sincere manner, delivering stewardship events for donors, and reporting on activities in the annual report.

Duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Take responsibility for the successful planning and delivery of our UK campaigns
• Lead the development of integrated campaign strategies with a core team of dedicated staff of media, policy, business engagement and fundraising colleagues
• Build new, high impact campaigns, identifying the campaign resource needs across policy, advocacy and communications teams
• Manage campaign budgets
• Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, complex political and public engagement strategies

About you

We are seeking a passionate, experienced and creative Senior Campaign Manager to develop and lead campaigns, as well as delivering additional campaigning activities. You will be working in a team of highly motivated advocates and campaigners. You will be able to construct imaginative and effective campaigns, inspire colleagues and mobilise our broad range of supporters.

This role requires proven campaigning and project management as well as excellent writing skills. The Parish Administrator & Events Co-Ordinator is a key person in the life of St Peter’s who works closely with the Vicar, Treasurer, Director of Music, Churchwardens, PCC, regular volunteers and the wider community of De Beauvoir Town. This role is both administrative and a key personal contact for the many individuals and groups in the life of St Peter’s.
