The Movements Trust is a start up charity operating in the UK and elsewhere. Our mission is to increase the funding that reaches social movements working on a Just Transition. 

We're seeking someone who is enthusiastic, committed to movement building and campaigning, great at details and systems, and overall an effective team player in a remote setting.

Our new Movement Officer will - 

- Be the first point of contact for movement enquiries, monitoring our inbox and responding to queries

- Support movements, campaigners and activists make applications to the Trust for our sponsorship service or grants programmes,

- Work with the Team and our Board of Trustees to ensure movements are screened and on-boarded

- Work with the Team to ensure we develop excellent services for movements, as well as helping to develop more events and support for movement building, improve our communications, fundraising and overall management so that we can continue to grow! 

KEY SKILLS

Essential

At the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF) we are dedicated to helping the billions of people worldwide suffering from untreated caries. This suffering disproportionately affects people from disadvantaged population groups and costs the global economy an estimated $245 billion USD.

We work for better oral health for all through a number of interconnected programmes including advocating at global conferences and meetings, local groundwork throughout 28 volunteer Chapters, designing and recommending better oral health policies for national governments through our Policy Labs and more.

We are looking for a freelance Director of Operations and Finance to work for an average of 4 days a week for a total of 180 days a year. They will be part of the senior leadership team alongside the Chief Strategy and Advocacy Officer and the Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

● Deliver our Operations and Finance KPIs as outlined in the Charity’s strategy; as well as being jointly responsible for the successful implementation of the full strategy.

● Lead and shape the Operations department, making sure it’s fit for purpose and maximising resources.

● Work collaboratively with senior management to maximise the success of the charity.

● Work closely and liaise regularly with the Chief Strategy & Advocacy Officer

● Work closely with the Chair of Trustees to ensure sound charity governance and compliance with HMRC and OSCR regulations.

● Ensure sound risk management strategies are in place.

● Manage the finance and operations input to grant bids and negotiation meetings.

● Liaise with external solicitors for advice to the Board.

● Project and logistics management, e.g for events and meetings

Finance

● Set and manage the charity’s annual budgets, supporting senior management in the process

● Report regularly on the charity’s finances, tracking the charity’s income, expenditure and reserves, and liaising with the Board of Trustees.

● Oversee the Charity’s bookkeeping and payroll; input journals as needed and closely monitor cashflow.

● Manage the end of year accounts and audit process, liaising with the external accountants.

Operations, IT and Data

● Manage the office and future office needs

● Manage the technology and data strategy, keeping staff tech secure and up to date, and acting as key liaison with third parties

● Be responsible for upholding our data privacy obligations. Work in partnership with senior management and charity lawyers to ensure GDPR obligations are followed, data security and use of data for internal and external reporting

● Oversee the efficient usage of our database, systems and key platforms (including Xero, Wordpress, Microsoft Office Suite) ensuring we are collecting and analysing relevant data in line with our goals to grow income and impact, ensuring proportionate resourcing and training

● Leadership of ad hoc Operations as required.

People Management

● If needed, oversee the recruitment of new staff, coordinating the process managing the staff journey including inductions, staff surveys, annual reviews, and exits.

● Oversee the communication with and distribution of work with freelancer and contractor staff.

● Maintain our policies and staff handbook, researching and writing/updating policies as required.

About you

Essential Criteria

● Must have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant systems, processes, policies, and procedures involved in the effective management of not-for-profit organisations.

● Demonstrable experience of financial management including, but not limited to, budget creation and reprofiling, forecasting, financial strategy, payments and invoicing, reconciling cashbook and bank accounts, VAT submission, and working with accountants on annual accounts.

● Requires possession of, or ability to quickly acquire specialist or professional knowledge of dental caries, and engagement in appropriate professional activities to keep knowledge base and skills up to date and develop them further.

About Katherine Low Settlement   

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.   

We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people. 

We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Role Purpose 

Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.

Responsibilities

In this role you will have 6 key responsibilities:

Financial: Managing a portfolio of high-value relationships and to deliver income at the agreed annual target in the first year with an expectation this will rise year on year.

Management:  You will be one of the first points of contact internally for trusts/foundations and individual major donors (IMD) related queries and will work in accordance with the major giving team strategic plan and existing procedures, practices and standards.

Relationship:You will seek to actively develop and manage excellent relationships with an agreed portfolio of trusts/foundations and IMD capable of donating a minimum of £25,000 or more as a single gift each year. In addition you will need to:

Introduction

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis (CF). We fund vital research, improve care, speak out and race towards effective treatments for all. We won’t stop until everyone with cystic fibrosis can live without limits.  CF is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system.  It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK.

In recent years, improvements in the treatments for CF have transformed the symptoms and quality of life experienced by many, but not all of the community.  The enormous leap forward that has been made is both wonderful and challenging and brings new support needs.

With better health, more people with CF now want to plan careers, but need to balance this with management of their condition.  Others still need support with barriers to work or help to navigate their rights at work when they need to focus on their health.  This led us to create Work Forwards, a dedicated programme of career, work and employment support for the CF community.

Project Brief

We are now looking to work with a freelance digital creative producer/editor to deliver some of the project’s key resources.

Working closely with Cystic Fibrosis Trust throughout, the freelancer will provide creative input to identify the most engaging way to execute these resources within the available budget, and will carry out the design and delivery, giving us a set of impactful resources to support people with CF in work and employment.

These resources represent the culmination of work done over the course of the Work Forwards programme so far, and need to be delivered in mid-August 2025 ahead of a major report to our funder, the National Lottery Community Fund, in September 2025.

Key Deliverables

· 6 x 30-90 second videos to explain CF related employment rights to young people affected by CF (scripts and voice-overs are already arranged)

· An engaging, informative resource to help employers understand cystic fibrosis (information content already available, but we would like the freelancer to offer creative input into how this is presented).

Resources must be high quality, accessible and delivered in line with our brand guidelines.

Indicative Budget

There is budget available to deliver this project and this is in the region of £2,500 - £6,000. This must cover all costs to complete this work, including consultant fees, and any materials and resources needed to undertake the project and deliver these resources.

It is accepted that it may be the responsibility of some other providers (including ourselves) to collect and provide some of the information and content required.

Given the available budget, we do not expect this role to involve filming, but we are looking for the freelancer to bring their creative ideas on how we can amplify the project and make the content accessible and engaging.

Role Purpose

Hatch is on a mission to build a more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem, one where underrepresented founders have the resources, support, and funding to thrive. We are looking for a relationship-driven Fundraising Manager to secure, steward, and grow funding partnerships across trusts and foundations, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWI).

You will play a key role in unlocking income growth through strong relationship management, compelling bid and proposal writing, and strategic prospect research. While managing your own portfolio of funders, you will also support senior fundraisers to progress high-value partnerships, developing your skills and confidence as you grow your own partnerships.

At Hatch, we are not limited by opportunities but by capacity. Your role will focus on:

• Developing and managing partnerships across corporate, trust and foundation, and individual giving audiences.

• Securing new funding opportunities and supporting income growth, working closely with the fundraising and marcoms team.

• Leading engagement activities including funder and prospecting events and  funder experiences.

• Ensuring strong reporting and impact measurement for our funders.

• Drafting compelling applications that forge an emotional connection and securing financial support to transform the lives of our beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage partnerships - Steward a portfolio of trusts, corporates, and individual donors, ensuring consistent communication, timely reporting,  and strong funder retention.

• Lead on bid and application writing - Write tailored and compelling funding applications, proposals, and case materials for grant-giving bodies, corporates, and HNWIs.

• Support senior fundraisers across the team - Assist colleagues working on major partnerships by providing background research, preparing proposals and meeting materials, and helping to coordinate follow-up actions.

• Provide regular updates and comms to funders - Ensure all funders receive timely, engaging updates on programme delivery, impact and outcomes, maintaining trust and strengthening long-term relationships.

• Identify and qualify new prospects - Proactively research and assess new funding opportunities. Bring warm leads into the pipeline and contribute insight to support strategic alignment.

• Respond to inbound funding enquiries - Manage and convert lower-level inbound opportunities, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses that align with Hatch’s offer and impact areas.

• Maintain accurate CRM records and support reporting - Keep the fundraising pipeline up to date in Salesforce and Monday. Track deadlines, ensure data accuracy, and support internal reporting and team coordination.

• Coordinate cross-team collaboration - Work with Programmes and Marcoms teams to gather inputs for applications and reports, prepare for funder meetings, and ensure aligned messaging.

• Use data and storytelling to showcase impact - Contribute to the development of reports, updates, and communications that clearly demonstrate Hatch’s value and the impact of our work with funders.

Person specification

We are looking for a relationship-driven fundraiser who can grow and manage a funder portfolio, write compelling funding bids, deliver employee engagement and volunteering opportunities, and support wider team success. You’ll need to be confident working across income streams and motivated by social impact.

Essential skills and experience:

• Excellent relationship management skills, with experience stewarding funders or clients

• Strong bid and proposal writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content

• Proven ability to research, assess, and qualify new prospects

• Ability to provide timely, well-crafted funder communications and updates

• Experience in creating and delivering funder volunteering and engagement activities.

Premier League Stadium Fund Technical Manager

£38,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on relevant experience and skills) plus generous benefits

The role will be home-based, but geographically will be required to cover clubs and leagues. Regular travel to clubs’ stadiums will be required, as well as occasional travel to our office at Wembley Stadium in London.

We currently have a vacancy for a qualified construction project manager to join the Premier League Stadium Fund as a Technical Manager to support the Stadium Accreditation Programme and to lead on the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant projects.

About the Premier League Stadium Fund

The Premier League Stadium Fund, fully funded by the Premier League and administered by the Football Foundation, provides capital grants to improve stadium facilities for players, supporters, and officials. It supports clubs across the football pyramid, including those in the National League System (Steps 1–6), Women’s Football Pyramid (Tiers 1–4), and clubs promoted to the English Football League. The fund covers ground-grading requirements and includes a Club Development Fund to help clubs grow and improve sustainability.

The role

Working as part of a team of Technical Managers, you will support our Stadium Accreditation Programme and will lead on the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant projects.

You will support the Stadium Accreditation Programme by helping establish new ways of working following the initial assessment of approximately 1,000 stadiums across England and Wales. You will have responsibility for a set of leagues and clubs across the Midlands and the East of England and you will work with them to ensure their compliance while also delivering against the objectives outlined within the new Premier League Stadium Fund Facilities Strategy.

You will be responsible for the scrutiny of the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant applications and ensuring the successful completion of new and improved stadium facilities. As part of this process, you will provide professional advice and guidance to applicants to assist with the development of capital projects, within the National League System (NLS) and Women’s Football Pyramid (WFP).

You’ll support clubs in addressing Stadium Accreditation findings, assess their grant applications, and oversee funded projects to ensure construction is completed on time and to plan.

What are we looking for?

You’ll need a construction-related degree or professional qualification (for example RICS, CIOB, RIBA or equivalent), or the equivalent experience in a construction management or technical role. You’ll have expertise in construction processes, and experience of delivering facilities from inception to completion. Experience in sports facility construction is desirable but not essential.

You’ll need excellent people skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and handle challenging situations confidently. Strong organisation, attention to detail, and sound decision-making are essential. You should also be adaptable and open to new technologies to help drive ongoing improvements in the Premier League Stadium Fund and Stadium Accreditation programme.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
