You will have a detailed knowledge of accounting principles (ideally from within the charity sector), strong analytical skills; be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking and have a proficiency in accounting alongside a relevant finance qualification; (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
You will also need to have advanced excel skills, experience of charity accounts, SORP and charity VAT and be able to plan, prioritise and organise your work with impeccable attention to detail.

The post holder will also develop and support organisational positioning for contracts and grants. This role will introduce innovative and agile funding approaches and models to enhance War Child UK’s competitiveness in a complex donor environment.
If you have the following qualities, we'd love to hear from you:
- Substantial experience of co-creating, leading, and coordinating complex proposal development processes directly and remotely – ideally for relevant donors including FCDO and humanitarian pooled funds
- Strong understanding of donor compliance, with an up-to-date knowledge of relevant donors including FCDO, and humanitarian pooled funds
- Experience in building networks, partnerships, and consortia to maximise programme impact and funding opportunities
- The ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a way that leads to increased impact for the organisation, and to spot and create opportunities with institutional foundations effectively and facilitate increasing access to funding for War Child’s work
- Ability to analyse the donor environment and identify trends, anticipate changes, be comfortable to deal with a large number of elements interacting in diverse and unpredictable ways
- Good knowledge regarding current development and trends in the (international) aid sector

The Project Officer (Strategic Data and Measurement Analyst) is an important new role at the Diocese, as you will provide a comprehensive understanding of our data sets to afford context and insight to the Deaneries, parishes and the Diocese which will help develop projects and programmes to drive growth in church attendance.
As Project Officer, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of all types of datasets available within the Diocese, including demographic data, attendance records, retention statistics and financial records, whilst identifying and implementing appropriate tools and methodologies for collecting and analysing new data insights.

Your enquiring mind and careful approach to manipulating and mining data to create insights and information, along with your ability to interpret data through an understanding of the project’s context, will ensure you are able to frame the questions that matter.
A high degree of IT literacy including use of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools and a working knowledge of databases, along with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills and a creative ability to deliver insights in clear and accessible written, verbal and visual media formats are essential.

Summary of Job Purpose
The Business and Operations Lead plays a vital role in managing and developing the operational business functions of the organisation and supporting its charitable aims; working closely with the CEO to deliver and improve the organisation’s strategic planning, operational delivery, and budgeting/ finance processes. o Lead the operational change for a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and website. iHV Project Lead working with the supplier, the Project Manager and a small team at the iHV to ensure that the project is delivered within the specified time, cost and quality parameters of the specification.
o Working closely with our part-time Head of HR, supporting the senior management team and line managers with HR matters, including recruitment.
o Line management responsibilities of designated staff in the corporate team, supporting business administration.
o Working with the CEO to ensure good governance of Board-related matters, collating Board papers and attending quarterly Board meetings.

- Maintain and develop robust quality assurance processes for income and expenditure, working with our CEO and accountants, to ensure all financial and reputational risks are effectively managed.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities
Centre Management and Student Support
· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President, Partnerships based in the UK, you will work closely with the teams in our dual headquarters (Toronto, Canada and London, UK), as well as programme and fundraising teams across Africa, Asia, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of functions that support Right To Play’s (RTP’s) global business development and grant management strategy, supporting proposal development for new funding opportunities and grant management for existing donor partnerships. #1. Funding Identification (15% of Time)
- Lead global prospecting for new business development by tracking funding opportunities, and researching suitable new funding opportunities from governments, private organizations, and foundations in line with RTP’s theory of change and organizational priorities.
- Research and understand the current funding strategies of institutional donors and philanthropic giving organisations to support strategic decision-making on new business development. - Strong technical ability to track, manage, and enter data using Microsoft Excel and CRM systems.
- Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a workload comprised of varying and changing tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal, public relations and report writing skills
- Good analysis, problem solving and project management skills
SECTOR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of donor management, grant management and compliance monitoring
- Knowledge of program design and budgeting processes, including development of logical frameworks and performance monitoring plans
- Knowledge of a variety of government and foundation funding mechanisms
- Knowledge of international development, education and humanitarian programming and policy
LANGUAGES:
- Fluency in spoken and written English

- Master’s degree in a related field
- Certification in project management
- Experience working in a range of cultural contexts and developing countries
