Kineara has a new vacancy for an experienced Housing support worker to join our small and dedicated team for our new School Housing Advice project.

About the project 

The School Housing Advice Support Project builds on the success of a pilot program and aims to provide tailored housing advice and support to families, particularly those living in temporary accommodation (TA). The project started in January 2025 and is currently being delivered at three primary schools in the borough of Southwark.

The initiative offers practical housing advice, casework, workshops, and legal support through a collaborative partnership between Kineara and Southwark Law Centre. It also addresses challenges such as poor housing conditions, legal proceedings, and impacts on families' health and wellbeing.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate support worker to deliver housing advice and practical support to parents from four Primary Schools in Southwark. This role involves conducting housing surgeries, providing follow-up casework, and running workshops to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to address their housing-related issues. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with schools, community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to avoid eviction and sustain tenancies, address suitability of the property, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing advice for onward housing when needed. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies or move to a better suited property, improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.

Frazzled is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE based on the power of emotional openness. Our free, volunteer-led meetings run online every single day of the year, offering people a chance to share, listen and feel heard in a supportive community.

We're looking for a confident and positive self starter with a high level of emotional intelligence, attention to detail and excellent communication skills to be our new Project Support and Administrative Officer.

 You will play a vital role in coordinating our schedule of peer-support meetings, managing our busy inboxes, supporting our volunteers and ensuring our internal systems and processes are well organised and working smoothly. You will work closely with our Co-Heads of Training and Programmes to plan and manage service delivery, support the recruitment, wellbeing, training and development of volunteers, as well as provide day-to-day running of our services. Supporting the Chief Executive and Head of Fundraising, you will contribute to Frazzled’s fundraising and development by providing administrative support and helping to organise events, meetings and reports.

Frazzled runs meetings throughout the day, from early in the morning until late in the evening seven days a week. The Project Support and Administrative Officer will be responsible for scheduling meetings and supporting our Facilitators with issues when they arise.

Projects Administrative and Events Assistant

Location: Remote with flexible working arrangements. You will be expected to attend monthly team meetings in Bristol (with paid travel and subsistence).

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a purposeful and proactive individual to work within a small (but growing), friendly and dynamic team in a varied role.

We are expanding our operational team and so we are looking for a Projects Administrative and Events Assistant. This is an entry level post. This hands-on role would suit a responsive, dependable implementer who is willing to step up  when something is needed and determined to see things through, even if problems surface. You will need to enjoy working proactively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, and have a logical, systematic approach, as well as excellent communication and IT skills. Our team works remotely, but there are also opportunities to co-work (depending on location). You’ll be encouraged and supported to grow and develop your administrative and events skills and expertise within this role.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Warm Welcome Operations Director and wider team your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative  and event support to our team, taking ownership of specific tasks as required, including;

Administration support:

• Monitoring email inboxes, responding to and fielding enquiries as appropriate

• Taking meeting minutes

• Collecting and entering data for various spreadsheets and documents efficiently

• Maintaining and updating information on our CRM tool

• Ensuring project documents are responsibly and securely stored and updated on the GDrive

• Chairing internal meetings

• Administrating a small grants programme to spaces

Communication support:

• Supporting with communications e.g. storygathering at events or space visits and managing the story/ photo archives

• Creating presentations for meetings and events

• Liaising with stakeholders and funders in a timely manner as required

Event support:

• Organising meetings/events, including booking venues, creating invites, monitoring responses, recording and managing the technical aspects of online events, sending out feedback forms etc.

• Ensuring the smooth running of in person events

Teamworking:

• Supporting the work of the wider Warm Welcome/Good Faith Partnership Team as capacity and need allows

• Other responsibilities commensurate with the post.

Person specification

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: 

• Tenacious with a natural drive to push tasks through to completion and to the required standards of excellence

• Quick and willing to respond to the needs of others by pitching in and helping with tasks

• Highly computer literate: proficient users of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Workspace, as well as being comfortable and keen to learn new technologies and use new tools

About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values-led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

We’re looking for an Operations & Office Manager to help establish and run the organisation’s administrative, contractual, and operational foundations.

About the role

As Operations & Office Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day management of the office, oversee administrative systems, and act as the key point of contact for operational matters. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure compliance, effective coordination, and strong relationships with partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

You’ll also take responsibility for HR and recruitment support, financial administration, and charity compliance, making sure policies, contracts, and records are maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running and initial set-up of the office, working closely with our architects, Counterspace.
• Acting as the first point of contact for operational queries and supporting the senior leadership team.
• Managing contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships, ensuring all deliverables and payments are tracked.
• Providing HR support across recruitment, onboarding, and policy maintenance.
• Supporting finance processes, including expenses, invoices, and compliance reporting.
• Developing and improving operational systems, processes, and data management tools.
• Ensuring charity and GDPR compliance and maintaining up-to-date organisational documentation.

About you

We’re looking for a professional with 4+ years’ experience in operations, administration, or office management. You’ll have a proven track record in managing contracts and suppliers, excellent organisational and communication skills, and strong proficiency with Microsoft 365.

An understanding of HR processes, charity governance, and financial administration would be an advantage. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to help shape a new and inclusive arts organisation from the ground up.

The Role

The Business Manager is a senior, cross-cutting role, working in close partnership with FILE’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to enable and enhance strategic alignment, organisational effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration. This role balances strategic insight with operational excellence, ensuring the SLT works as effectively as possible while driving delivery on organisational priorities.

This is a highly facilitative, cross functional role requiring exceptional judgement, communication, and organisational skills. It operates with a birds-eye, systems level view of the organisation, acting as the connective tissue that keeps the SLT aligned. The role balances a forward-looking strategic perspective with hands on operational execution. The postholder will work across teams to identify challenges and opportunities, manage critical projects, facilitate decision-making, and champion a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partner to Senior Leadership Team: Work with the SLT as a thought partner to drive clarity, alignment, and execution on organisational priorities, including planning cycles, workflow management, and organisational performance reviews.

2. Operational Leadership and Execution (SLT): Lead operational cadences (SLT meetings, offsites, quarterly reviews, and strategic planning sessions) and manage cross-functional initiatives and projects. In 2026 this will include supporting the development of FILE’s 2027-2030 organisational strategy.

3. Confidential & Complex Decision Support: Handle highly confidential issues such as legal, financial, or organisational change initiatives with discretion and maturity. Provide quality recommendations to support complex and confidential decision making.

4. Support Team Leadership & People Management: Manage, empower and develop the Executive Assistant team, ensuring strong support for the SLT and fostering a collaborative, high performing leadership culture.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination and Collaboration: Enable effective communication and coordination across teams, ensuring alignment and follow through on organisational priorities.
