Role Overview:
We are working with a prestigious organisation committed to driving positive social change through world-class ideas, public engagement, and thought leadership. They are seeking an Events Officer to join their central London team on a 6-month fixed-term contract (FTC), with an immediate start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events professional to take ownership of delivering a diverse programme of high-profile events – from keynote talks and panel discussions to livestreamed and digital-first formats. The role involves end-to-end event production, speaker sourcing, content development, and close collaboration with communications and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery and strong audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality events from concept through to execution, including speaker liaison, event copy, agendas, briefings, and on-the-day hosting.
• Source, invite and manage speakers across academia, policy, publishing, culture, innovation, and social change.
• Coordinate logistics including AV, livestreaming, hospitality, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with communications and digital teams to maximise marketing, audience engagement, and post-event reach.
• Project-manage event series independently, overseeing content, stakeholder relationships, and partnerships.
• Ensure all events are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with the organisation’s mission.
• Support the Head of Events with research into new formats, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities.

Person Specification:

• Demonstrable track record of producing live, hybrid, and digital events end-to-end.
• Strong stakeholder and speaker management experience, with confidence working with senior and high-profile individuals.
• Proven ability to translate complex or specialist content into accessible and engaging public formats.
• Excellent copywriting and editorial skills.
• Technical coordination skills, particularly working with AV and livestreaming teams.
• Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with web-editing or CRM systems.
• Familiarity with design software (e.g. Photoshop).

About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Policy Fellow in Primary and Community Care to join our dynamic Policy Team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact work focused on NHS policy and broader health system change in England

As a core member of the team, you will lead and support a range of policy projects - both short-term reactive work and longer-term strategic initiatives. Your primary focus will be on primary and community care policy.

We are looking for someone with, strong research and analytical skills, including experience with qualitative and quantitative methods; excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.; sound knowledge of UK health policy, particularly in primary and community care in England; a collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams and disciplines; and, confidence in presenting complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders and the media.

Job Summary

CAAS provides an Autism and ADHD Support Service across the 8 boroughs of NW London from our base in Eastcote and offices around London. We offer information, advice, and support to ADHD/Autistic people, their families, and professionals, with the aim of improving quality of life and building neurodivergent-aware communities.

In this role, you will join the established CAAS adult team to support, educate, and empower ADHD/Autistic adults (diagnosed or self-identified) across NW London.

You will:

· Provide one-to-one information, advice, and practical task-based support.

· Facilitate online and in-person peer groups, courses and workshops sessions.

· Help develop resources that increase understanding of ADHD/Autism and pathways to support.

· Signpost to local and national services, community groups, and specialist support.

· Work with professionals to share good practice and promote reasonable adjustments so services are more accessible to ADHD/Autistic adults including delivering short training sessions to professionals.

The role requires:                             

· A strong commitment to supporting ADHD/Autistic adults to improve quality of life and self-advocacy.

Key Responsibilities – Supporting ADHD/ Autistic Adults

Providing individualised task-based support

· Provide one-to-one ad hoc, tailored support for pre-and post-diagnosis (with the support to be co-produced by the service user). This support may include, but is not limited to:

· Practical support with communication or executive functioning tasks and activities such as making calls, form filling, applying for benefits, and planning their week.

· Working within a “help you to do it” model, encouraging skill building and self-advocacy.

· Support with applications for further education and employment

· Maintain and update our public-facing ADHD Resource Board, and foster relationships with other support organisations to strengthen our signposting and referral pathways.

Facilitate Support Groups

· Facilitate twice-monthly ADHD Groups.

· Facilitate Parent and Carers Support group.

· Facilitate monthly pre-diagnosis support group.

· Facilitate Coffee Connect social group for ADHD and autistic adults.

· Facilitate quarterly Professional Connect Forum.

· When agreed in advance with manager provide cover for other colleagues’ projects.

Facilitate Courses and Workshops

· Deliver a 6-week Understanding my ADHD Course for newly diagnosed ADHD adults.

Front of house support and referrals process

The Specialist Adult ADHD/Autism Advisor (SAAA) will be expected to answer both written and telephone enquiries from members of the public about CAAS services, with a warm and welcoming style, so clients feel comfortable to attend our services.

SAAA will be expected to welcome visitors to the centre and provide information about CAAS and The SAAA will provide front-of-house support, welcoming visitors, answering queries, and managing the referrals process, including CRM updates, triage, and liaising with referrers.

CAAS offers a wide range of adult services, so SAAA will be expected to proactively support clients in accessing the appropriate services and provide consistent follow-up and communication. 

Other Responsibilities  - Wider support

The SAAA will be expected to contribute to the support and empowerment of ADHD and autistic adults and their families in a range of other ways, such as:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with local statutory and voluntary services, particularly within health, social care, and social prescribing teams.

· Represent CAAS by attending relevant meetings to ensure active links with local authority and voluntary sector partners.

· Stay informed about national and local developments related to ADHD/autistic adults, identifying opportunities to raise awareness and influence the development of appropriate services and support.

· Contribute to the development and delivery of training for professionals and the community by:

· Using inclusive, evidence-based language and approaches

· Tailoring content to meet the needs of different audiences

· Supporting outreach and promotion of CAAS’s training offer related to ADHD and autism in adults

The Role

The Careers Adviser will travel across East Sussex to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required. 

Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.

You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.

The Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer will work alongside the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications to help deliver Rising Sun’s fundraising targets during this exciting period of growth for the charity.

The main focus of the role is finding, attracting and stewarding new funders to help deliver Rising Sun’s life changing services. You will write compelling funding proposals that demonstrate the impact of our services and how we meet funders’ requirements. You will build strong relationships with grant officers from various foundations, providing regular updates and communicating challenges, solutions and successes as appropriate to develop our reputation as an effective, reliable and trustworthy organisation.  Alongside this you will be nurturing our existing portfolio of funders to help prioritise multi-year funding.

Working with you in the Fundraising Team will be the Head of Income, Partnerships and Communications, Trusts and Foundations Officer, Community Fundraising Officer and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Team. As part of the team you will help to develop fundraising materials such as case studies, impact reports and cases for support.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who loves building and nurturing relationships and has a passion for fundraising. In addition, you will have excellent writing skills and experience of generating income from trusts and foundations to grow our income from this stream. As part of our committed team of approximately 50 staff, you will be contributing to the invaluable work of the Rising Sun and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who have experienced domestic abuse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a hands-on role for an experienced organiser who will lead key aspects of our community organising practice. 1. Fundraising

• To be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email, post, and in person.
• Support the team by recording and sending fundraising materials to those raising money for us through events and challenge event.
• Ensure communications such as letters, certificates and emails are processed in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Provide support to the events, community, partnerships, and individual giving teams and their programmes of activity.
