Buglife is looking for an experienced and values-driven finance professional to join our Senior Leadership Team as Director of Finance.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident, strategic finance leader with experience in the charity sector, strong technical expertise, and a genuine commitment to environmental and social good.

You’ll bring professional credibility, a collaborative approach, and ability to provide clear advice at Board level. You’ll combine strong analytical skills with collaborative working style and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders balancing ambition and accountability while guiding and empowering your team.

A strong grounding in charity finance and governance, with a commitment to sustainable investment and innovation through digital transformation.

You’ll have:

• Senior leadership experience managing organisational finances and producing annual accounts
• A track record of shaping financial strategy in growing or complex organisations
• A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of charity governance, financial management, and accounting best practice
• Experience leading and developing finance teams

As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Trainer and Facilitator will play a key role in developing and delivering safeguarding training across the Diocese. This includes ensuring that all those with safeguarding responsibilities are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and understanding necessary to recognise, respond to, and prevent abuse, and to create safe and caring church communities.

The role requires both strong organisational and interpersonal skills. The postholder will deliver training online and in person, adapting content and delivery methods to meet diverse learning needs and contexts. They will also monitor compliance and engagement with training across the Diocese, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for leadership and governance bodies.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training Delivery
To deliver training both in person and on-line, in Safeguarding leadership, and raising awareness of Domestic Abuse, including evaluating pre and post training session work

Safeguarding Training Coordination:
Coordination of the diocesan safeguarding learning and development programme, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and standards.

Training Administration and Record Management:
Organise around 80 training sessions annually, managing bookings, materials, publicity, and attendance records, and maintaining accurate safeguarding training data for individuals and parishes.

Reporting and Team Support:
Produce reports and statistics on training compliance and trends

We are looking for someone with:

· A qualification or demonstratable experience in training or education.

· Demonstratable experience in evaluating pre and post training session work.

· Demonstratable safeguarding experience.

· Good clear communication skills, in particular a friendly and sensitive training delivery manner, and confidence in in running Zoom and Teams for training.

· High level of ICT and database skills, in particular the ability to input data accurately and extract reports as required.

· Understanding and assurance of absolute confidentiality in relation to records held in safeguarding files and databases

Volunteering Matters, in partnership with Active Suffolk and Sport England, is recruiting for a Community Connector to work in the Chantry / Belstead Hills / Stoke Park area of Ipswich

The aim of the role is to gather insights into local people’s lived experiences, particularly around physical activity, by having meaningful conversations in everyday settings like cafés, outside schools, and at community events. These insights will help shape future initiatives that support community wellbeing and development.

Ideal candidates will have strong local ties—preferably living in the area they work—and be confident, approachable, and proactive. The role involves identifying community needs, building local networks, signposting residents to support, and feeding back discussions to project partners.

Flexibility is key, with some evening and weekend work expected. The role reports to the Delivery Leader at Volunteering Matters and works closely with Active Suffolk’s Development Officer for Ipswich. A DBS check will be required before starting.

Carers Manchester is a partnership of Statutory and Voluntary Sector organisations who work together the plan, enhance and deliver advice and support services for unwaged carers in the city. Through working together, the Carers Manchester Pathway is in place, which supports carers being able to access the right advice and support at the right time in their caring journey. 

Gaddum plays a key role in managing the development of the Carers Manchester Pathway, in supporting a network of voluntary sector organisations, ensuring that the carers voice is heard in everything that we do and delivering a Carers Helpline.

Following the recent award of an extension to our current contract we are looking for an administrator to support us in managing a number of workstreams which will enhance the provision of services for unpaid carers in the city.

We're seeking a Freelance Women Off to Work (WOW) Employment & Training Officer to play a key role in engaging and recruiting local women onto this popular employability programme, and supporting them to access accredited and non-accredited training courses through inclusive outreach, programme support, co-design of training opportunities and workshops.

The role will also involve building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders (education, corporate, community partners) to enhance the programmes delivery and impact whilst also generating opportunities for women to gain both paid and unpaid work experience.

Since 2017, WOW has supported hundreds of local women from predominantly Global Majority communities through holistic training and pathways into work programme.

WoW delivers a blend of life and vocational skills training, promoting general employability and improved wellbeing through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, practical advice on self-employment and micro-businesses, ESOL classes and more. South East London Community Energy (Selce) is an award-winning energy member-led cooperative. We believe in creating a fair and just energy transition by building distributed and renewable energy systems, reducing local energy demand, and leaving no one behind in the process. We recognise that effective engagement is a key component in delivering a sustainable future and enabling domestic retrofit at scale.

As Community Engagement Officer, you will work to support various programmes that are, in the main focused on enabling decarbonisation of the UK housing stock, enabling warm, healthy homes. These programmes are as follows

· A programme of workshops and outreach events focusing on two neighbourhoods in Southwark and on the whole of the borough of Greenwich. The purpose of the outreach is to raise awareness about the benefits of retrofitting their homes and provide support to households who want to install measures. Your role will be to design and deliver a programme of outreach, engagement and awareness raising about the benefits of retrofit and to support residents on their retrofit journey

· Lewisham Council is planning a major retrofit programme for the council housing in Lewisham. Selce is supporting the local authority. Our role is to enable residents to understand the benefits of retrofit and to support any vulnerable residents to accommodate work in their homes. Your role will be to plan and deliver an engagement programme that engages residents, TRA's, local community groups, local champions to communicate the benefits of retrofit

· In 2026 we expect to be launching a new Community Share Offer and to raise Community Share capital to finance solar PV/ LED Retrofit in local community sites. Your role will be to contribute to a broader effort to raise awareness about the share offer in Southeast London

Ideally you will be locally based in South East London, with a strong links to the community and an interest in and some experience around climate issues and community retrofit. Your role will be to engage residents through in-person or online events. You will use a range of engagement techniques including workshops, community events, eco home tours and ‘retrofit parties’, supporting ‘resident champions’ to promote retrofit and occasionally doorknocking. You will support the wider team’s online communications – through owned channels, social and print media.

You will also work to build peer support networks, enabling residents who have retrofitted their homes to share their learning. Your role is to understand the needs of householders in relation to warmth, wellbeing, energy costs and climate and work to understand how our projects can best respond to those needs.

There is a strong possibility that this role could be extended beyond the initial 8 month fixed term period

Required Skills & Experience:

Essential Skills and Experience

· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a community engagement, participation or outreach role.

· Experience of working with diverse and hard-to-reach communities.

· Experience of coordinating volunteers or of volunteering yourself.

· Experience of having worked with either community sector or local authorities or other public sector bodies.

· Experience of facilitating a group or of being part of a community group that worked together to achieve a shared goal or bring about a positive community outcome.

· Experience of leading meetings including experience of the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports to varied audiences – good people-facing skills.

· Knowledge of the energy efficiency and retrofit and an understanding of the whole house and fabric first approaches to domestic retrofit.

· Familiarity with community energy and community shares.

· Experience of working in schools or with children/young people

· Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability with minimal supervision.

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. • Lead programme planning, delivery and annual review cycles, ensuring it is delivered on time and to budget in a way that works towards its overall vision and aims.

Advance’s Minerva service works with women and young women and girls involved in the Criminal Justice System offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime free lives.

Working as a Service User Engagement Lead you will be responsible for supporting the operational delivery of our service user engagement programme that will be a part of the Minerva service across London, including leading a team of CJS community champions and ambassadors and supporting in the oversight and delivery this programme across our 3 criminal justice services. In addition, this role requires you to build effective relationships with the criminal justice teams across London, and the regions alongside our partners and service users.

An integral part of the Service User Engagement Lead role will include delivering planned monthly supervision and ad-hoc supervision and having oversight of safeguarding and risk management for the CJS champions and ambassadors that you are working alongside. You will support the Senior Service Manager and Service Managers in delivering key information to keyworkers, in staff meetings and in day-to-day interactions to help promote the service user engagement programme.

You will lead your team and service while working collaboratively with fellow Advance managers and teams, external agencies and key stakeholders across London to provide a consistent and holistic service.

Key responsibilities and duties
