As part of the Supporter Care team, the Supporter Care Assistant will help provide an excellent supporter experience and through every interaction will seek to build meaningful relationships with our supporters which increases their level of satisfaction and engagement. Whether you are handling donations, maintaining a high-quality database, responding to various supporter enquiries and fulfilling their requests, responding to complaints and feedback, or providing supportive administrative services to the department, the delivery of outstanding customer service to our many supporters will remain at the heart of your role and be the focus of your efforts. Over the coming year ShelterBox is transitioning to a new CRM system (Dynamics 365), and the job holder will be involved in supporting team SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and being active participant in adopting new changes and learning new processes.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Delivering a consistent and high quality of supporter engagement through all enquiry channels including inbox, phone calls, social media direct messages and post.
- Managing the ongoing relationship with supporters as they progress in their ShelterBox journey.
- Championing the supporter voice throughout the organisation via meetings, communications and daily interaction.
- Processing and acknowledging all donations that have come in through a range of sources including but not limited to post, website, standing orders, direct debits and financial reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate gift aid records.
- Ensuring supporter records are kept up to date and data entry is accurate, recording all communications on our CRM database.
- Producing written correspondence such as bespoke letters and responding to feedback or complaints.
- Aiding the Supporter Care Manager, Supporter Care Team Leader & Supporter Care Officer in project work that will develop the team's approach to supporter engagement.
- Supporting and supervising volunteers within the team.
- Taking an active part in ensuring your own personal development.

The Role
As a Building Surveyor, you will lead and support the surveying, maintenance, and refurbishment of a wide variety of buildings and structures across our estate.

Are you passionate about international development and ensuring marginalised communities are able to access global health services? Do you want to be instrumental in ending one of the world’s most ancient diseases? Are you able to walk alongside our partners, across Africa and Asia, offering prayer, compassion and technical support, as they strive to transform the lives of some of the world’s most marginalised people? Is God calling you to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and serve those affected by leprosy?
Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by this disease are often rejected by those closest to them and excluded from basic services.
Within our dynamic programmes team, you’ll be working alongside supportive colleagues who are passionate about ending leprosy and transforming lives. We have a culture of learning and growing together and will provide training in best practice, ensuring excellence in all we do. You will have at least three years’ work experience in an international development programming role or similar setting (ideally in the global South), with a degree in a relevant discipline. You will have monitoring, evaluation and research skills, with the capacity to work on your own initiative and will be an excellent cross-cultural communicator. We are particularly interested to hear from people with expertise in disability services, public health, research, quality assurance, or social enterprise development. However, those with experience in community development and working in fragile states would also be most welcome to apply.
You will be responsible for the development of UK-funded programmes, supporting the capacity development of overseas partners and managing income streams from large donors. In addition, you will champion our work on the global stage and engage in national and global advocacy on Neglected Tropical Diseases (including leprosy), global health and disability issues. This will require travel overseas for approximately eight weeks per year.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the Area Manager / Operations Director in ensuring the Charity’s development and growth in ways that are relevant and in line with operational services and charitable objectives.
To ensure the Charity achieves its aims and objectives and fulfils its operational plan effectively by providing high quality intervention, providing person centred support for at-risk young people.
To have key responsibilities in reducing risk and delivery of our Shaping Futures Intervention this is our Short-Term Intervention Programme (STIP) in Buckinghamshire.
This project is funded for the next 18 months, we will be working closely with partners to extend this funding agreement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate onboarding of young people, including the initial assessment, and developing 12 individualised sessions bespoke to each young person.
- Ensure a 12-week programme is written and sent to the young person with agreed outcomes after initial meeting.
- Responsible for a case load of young people up to 20 young people at any one time.
- Lead sessions and activities with appropriate resources to empower young people to make more positive choices to reduce violent behaviours, reduce risk of exploitation and other offending behaviours.
- Support the multi-agency network for the young people you are working with. Report any safeguarding concerns to the DSL, with support from your line manager.
- Work in partnership with the Operations team to develop opportunities in line with the intervention if needed.
- Attend stakeholder meetings where needed.
- Uphold Caudwell Youth’s values
- Effectively report to your line manager complaints and compliments relating to the programme
- Build knowledge of local strategies, linking in with network forums.
- Develop relationships and partnerships with local employers, benefit agencies, training establishments to enable opportunities for young people.
- Monitor targets and ensure programme objectives are met.
- Collect outcomes data with tools provided by Caudwell Youth.
- Embed engagement strategy with the young people in your area.

Partnership and Liaison:
- Work closely with the team and the stakeholder steering group to promote good communication and shared focus.

- Establish and develop good relationships with other charities and agencies to increase partnership and effective joint working where appropriate.
