We can offer help in a number of different ways including counselling, Friday evening workshops, theatre workshops, and informal support. One Million Mentor's (1MM) is an exciting startup within a larger charity called Uprising Leadership. Its mission is to transform the process of mentoring for all in the UK. We aim to train, recruit and connect a million mentors to a million young people in order to increase youth employability, support social action and help break down social barriers.
1MM has now developed a new safe and secure virtual mentoring offer for both mentors and mentees (aged 18 to 25 years old) which includes; sign up onto the platform, completing a profile, undertaking mandatory online mentoring training, attending a mandatory online workshop facilitated by experts, matched digitally and then meeting for one hour once a month via video conferencing. 1MM also provides ongoing online support to mentors and mentees by delivering relevant employment/careers and wellbeing related workshops on a monthly basis. We have established 2,000 mentoring relationships partnering with over 200 employers and 100 youth partners.

We’re looking for a Business Support Administrator.
The Business Support Administrator will work across all teams in the Business Development Department and will report into the Business Development Research Manager. You’ll provide support to enable the department to succeed in their ambitions to achieve the Citizens Advice Future of Advice strategic framework. You’ll be working in a fast moving environment where the work is varied, so you’ll need to be flexible and have a proactive approach to problem solving with good organisational skills and excellent IT skills. In practice, you’ll be the first point of contact for people who need help with a wide range of tasks like data collection, processing finances, and assisting with organising meetings/events.

Age Cymru are recruiting for a full-time Dementia Advocate promote and deliver independent advocacy to people with dementia or their carers in the Cardiff/Vale of Glamorgan area. During the current Covid-19 pandemic all Age Cymru staff will be working from home until it is safe to work from an office base and in line with Welsh Government Guidance.
This post is a fixed term contract ending 31/03/22 working full time - 35 hours per week, based in Cardiff but covering the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan areas. Salary £25,000 per annum.

You will:
* Have experience and working knowledge of advocacy (instructed and non-instructed)* Undertaken individual casework

* Have an awareness of safeguarding legislation and procedures in Wales
* Use creative communication strategies for facilitating communication with people with dementia
* Be highly organised, positive and outgoing
* Be proficient in all MS office packages, including Excel and Powerpoint
* Be confident delivering promotional and awareness raising sessions
* Speak Welsh (desirable but not essential)

Support Worker
As well as our existing contracts, we expect to launch a number of new projects in 2021 and so are looking for people who can commit to full or part time hours (3 days per week) for three months (and possibly longer) as well as bank staff.
Support Worker Responsibilities:
As we are looking for bank staff as well as those who can make a firmer commitment to part-time or full-time hours, this is an ideal opportunity for anyone studying, with caring responsibilities or who already has a part-time job and we would welcome a discussion on how this work could fit around the other commitments in your life. Support Worker Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must be qualified in Information Advice & Guidance (IAG) to level 3 or have an equivalent qualification or have at least one year’s experience of IAG in a role supporting / mentoring clients to develop a plan to improve their situations. You should be a great communicator with a naturally coaching style and the ability to provide a service that is welcoming to all. You will have insight into the needs of vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds and understand the need for confidentiality when working with personal information.
You must be a competent user of IT, including email and using the Internet, as well an organised administrator. It is absolutely essential that you share our values. It would be helpful if you have an understanding of discrimination and equality and diversity issues, including those not set out in law such as the ‘poverty premium’. An understanding of housing rights would also be an advantage..
The ability to speak Arabic, Bengali, French, Gujurati, Polish, Punjabi, Romanian or the language of another group that is affected by financial and digital exclusion would be an advantage.

Clean Slate is expanding. We are looking for Support Workers to join our team to support us in delivering remote services for people who are struggling with their finances: the risk of debt, rent arrears and ultimately even homelessness. You will make contact with new referrals by phone and email and provide information, support and guidance, including signposting them to specialist advice and regulated bodies. You will help people to use digital tools to be better off. You will support clients to build their skills, take control of their finances and find employment. You will work with partner agencies and statutory bodies in the local area and will assist us with the money skills and employment workshops and training run by our tutors.
