About the opportunity

This is an exciting time to join the Audience Insight team, part of the Brand and Communications function within the Income and Engagement directorate. Since the relaunch of our brand, Alzheimer’s Society has gone from strength to strength using audience insight to inform strategic decisions at the highest level of the organisation.
The scope of our work is wide-ranging. We lead on market research projects across the Society, supporting not just Income and Engagement, but also Research, Influencing, and Services. One day you might be supporting a local services initiative, the next you could be testing advertising and communications, and the next collaborating on the UK’s largest research study involving people affected by dementia.

Over the past year, we’ve delivered a diverse mix of qualitative and quantitative projects, both internally and through external agencies. We use cutting-edge techniques, including neuroscience and behavioural science, to generate impactful insights that drive change across the charity.

You’ll be joining a team of three dedicated market research professionals and will have line management responsibilities.

About you
You will:

- Have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in market research, either client side or agency side
- Bring proven line management experience
- Demonstrate strong qualitative and quantitative research expertise, including moderating focus groups

Main Purpose of the Role:

To lead the Support Team to provide emotional and practical support to families and individuals living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It includes leading the support team to provide 1-2-1 and group support provided in person or virtually, and creating and growing support networks for the wider Duchenne community which includes Duchenne parents/caregivers; young people and adults living with Duchenne; extended family and friends; and professionals in environments such as schools, local authorities and clinics. 

Specific Tasks:

The focus areas and key deliverables of this role are as follows:

• Develop a clear process for identifying case loads and capacity for the Support Team.

• Identify opportunities, alongside the team, for cross team working - including residentials; family events; Science Educations workshops with regional meetups and education visits to schools and local authorities.

• Obtain, decipher and provide training to the Support Team on new updates relevant to Duchenne families, such as DLA, EHCP and more.

• Work closely with your team, to ensure that each family receives the best support possible, and that long-term support is provided.

• Lead on the development and delivery of monthly reporting of engagement and support contact, which will feed into the wider All Through Support journey. 

• To work with the Head of Operations and Events to contribute to Agenda topics and speakers from the community; assign roles for the conference to the Support Team.

• Establish a database for external stakeholders also supporting those living with Duchenne on a national basis, fed in to from the Support Team.

• To develop a triaging and caseload process for the Support Team, and how best to regularly monitor this.

• Be involved in the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers appropriate to your area of work.

• To maintain the contact database, keeping it up to date and accurate.

• Coordinate cover for the Support Team when there is sickness or leave.

Role Purpose

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our corporate partnerships fundraising. As our Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, you will be responsible for growing income from new and existing corporate supporters through creative fundraising and engagement plans and efficient account management, ensuring all partnerships have an excellent experience of supporting Winston’s Wish and understand the impact of their support on the lives of grieving children.

Main Responsibilities

Account Management and Stewardship

• Confidently manage a portfolio of existing corporate supporters who, together, make a significant difference to the lives of grieving children.

• Ensure all supporter records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date on our database, and document all corporate engagement activity.

What's the role about?

You’ll be joining the RSPB England Education, Families and Youth team and working on our regional partnerships with Girlguiding, particularly in North West England and with RSPB Project Officers to support the development and delivery of our funded project outputs.

Key tasks:

• Support the delivery of engaging training or workshops for young people, both in-person and online, helping them connect with nature and take meaningful action.
• Collaborate with Girlguiding volunteers and RSPB Project Officers to help develop a youth-focused nature and climate action toolkit.

What are the responsibilities of the Support Worker - Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service:

Support for Children:

Independent Child Trafficking Guardians support children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation, working alongside other professionals to ensure that children receive appropriate support in line with their needs.

Within this role you will:

• Support young people through short term pieces of work, for example groupwork and transition out of the service
• Work alongside ICTG's to deliver trips and activities for young people
• Support young people to engage with participation activities both within NCTC and as delivered by partner organisations
• Maintain up to date and accurate recordings on the children's electronic files.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding, alerting managers to concerns and completing actions as required
• Where appropriate contribute to national awareness raising sessions
• Contribute to the national on call rota

Home based with potential for extensive travel across all NCTC delivery sites.

Role Details

Location: Home based, with regular UK wide travel where required. Although the charity has national reach there is a particular focus on activity in Nottingham, Richard’s home town.

The CEO will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and overall management of the Richard Whitehead Foundation. Key Responsibilities

• Work with the board to review and develop the strategic plan for the Richard Whitehead Foundation.
• Develop lead and manage an operational plan and budget to deliver the strategy
• Proactively build, develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, beneficiaries, disability organisations, volunteers, and staff ensuring that the Richard Whitehead Foundation is able to deliver on its objectives.
• To be bold in our ambition to empower disabled people through the power of sport.
• Lead, motivate and inspire the Richard Whitehead Foundation to achieve its goals and objectives, ensuring that the organisation has the right talent and resources to achieve its strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to ensure the sustainability, development and delivery of the Richard Whitehead Foundation and future projects, diversifying our income streams and growing overall income. This will include supporter acquisition, funding applications, event management and donor stewardship.
• Develop and oversee a marketing and communications plans
• To have a hands-on approach to progressing the Richard Whitehead Foundation
• Regular contact with trustees most notably the Chair, and President.
• Ensure that the Richard Whitehead Foundation is compliant with all relevant regulations, including those related to fundraising, governance, and charity law.

Responsibilities

In this role you will have 6 key responsibilities:

Financial: Managing a portfolio of high-value relationships and to deliver income at the agreed annual target in the first year with an expectation this will rise year on year.

Management:  You will be one of the first points of contact internally for trusts/foundations and individual major donors (IMD) related queries and will work in accordance with the major giving team strategic plan and existing procedures, practices and standards.

Relationship:You will seek to actively develop and manage excellent relationships with an agreed portfolio of trusts/foundations and IMD capable of donating a minimum of £25,000 or more as a single gift each year. In addition you will need to:

• Develop and implement professionally written action plans which will engage, inform and nurture prospects and donors to deliver gifts at the agreed level.
• Undertake timely administration to capture and record knowledge of supporters within the customer relationship management database. Work with the organisation’s systems team to utilise this information to enhance applications and giving levels
• Pro-actively develop relationships with key stakeholders within the MAF organisation(s)
• Present MAF proposals alone or with others, (member of the operational field team, CEO etc), to prospects and donors.
• Participate in events to develop relationships with donors, inviting individuals from portfolios where appropriate and co-ordinate visits to MAF overseas operations where appropriate to introduce these donors directly to the work of MAF.  

Information: Information management and analytical thinking is essential as you will present detailed, accurate and high-quality fundraising proposals to prospects and donors, ensuring any specific deadlines or funding windows are complied with.   In addition you will need to:

• Ensure that donors are thanked appropriately for their gifts with timely and appropriate reports, letters and phone call.
• Provide timely ‘report backs’ that are appropriate/agreed with each donor, to evidence effective use of funding and to encourage the opportunity to make further applications based on good stewardship and achievement of agreed outcomes.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge, and the funding priority, of projects available for funding by trusts/foundations supporters and prospects.
• Actively seeking to grow the trusts/foundations portfolio and income through the use of research
• Attending regular appropriate training courses, external forums and networks to ensure continuous personal development 

Major Donor team (practice/ procedures/training):As a key member of the team you will need to ensure procedures and standards are developed/maintained to ensure we are effective and compliant with any legislation/regulation.

CRM Database: To provide support to the Partnership Executive, who will be the team’s CRM database lead and maintain a thorough working understanding of MAF UK’s CRM system in order to answer specific team queries.  You will need to support the teams day-to-day CRM activities including producing reports, importing data, adding activities, amending details and any other relevant tasks

  Benefits:

• Salary:   £42,000 per annum depending upon experience 
• Hours: This role is full time, 36 hours per week
• Pension: MAF UK provides a non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining
